I explain in detail what each plant from existing international worlds does from the Chinese version of Plants vs. Zombies 2. Hope you learned something new! I'm not done with the "Other Plants", I'm just doing this because MANY of you requested it!

Has anyone wonder why rafflesia is unlocked in frost bite of all places, I think it should be more fitting in lost city
Yeah frost bite is a bit cold for him. Lost city will suit better

i really like the Acid Lemon, one of the rare plants of this game that could properly interact with the environments and zombies without being buggy
It's was also one of the easiest legendary plant to obtain and max out, because it's seed packets were sold at pvp-mode shop for medals which were easy to farm.
Why "was"? Because that pvp-mode got removed and replaced with 3-laned multiplayer one.

I think the reason why acidic citrus' projectiles affect fossilheads and imp eggs is due to the fact that some acids can burn fossils or bones since they have trace carbon in them just like calcite.
No, it's because they are made of calcium carbonate. Acids react with calcium carbonate.
The reason is most likely actually just that the devs reused code lmao

i mean not 100%. the other 2 CAN reflect projectiles. but have cooldowns and are stationary while spinning. so you cantechnically beat them with said projectiles. not jester though. he imune to everything he reflects
The unfortunate thing though is that while jester is immune to everything he can reflect, a lot of the new plants he should be able to reflect he just can’t, pomegunate is an exception as far as I know, and he sucks
Bro..acid lemon had such a close connection to their lemon slice. It's the only way they can continue living. Without it, acid lemons are known to go into a state of paralysis without any will to live until their lemon slice returns

Fun fact: Rafflesia, along with Pomegranate, Snow Cotton, Pretty Little Plum, and Jackfruit, used to be know as the "worst 5" plants in pvz2c. Although I would argue that all the other four has a degree of usage, Rafflesia is certainly the worst of the five and still belongs in that spot today.
Pomegranate has pretty good dps, just needs a lot of sun to function well
Snow Cotton, as long as you maintain some defense or plant two columns, can have great crowd control and dps
Pretty Little Plum is useful against a horde when spammed, and it has a good pf
Jackfruit is a utility plant, not that great but does its job well (looks at flatshroom)
Rafflesia has no redeeming qualities, even on high levels its not ever worth bringing.
Ok, but is it better or worse than scaredy shroom in PVZ 2? Im assuming worse but you never know!

Here would be my personal execution of Rafflesia
Sun : 300
Health : 300
Attack Speed : 7s
Recharge : 7s
Ability : Rafflesias shoot spores down the lane which stun the zombies in the lane they pass by for 3 seconds, then explode on the second column furthest from home, dealing 450 damage in a 3×3 area.
Plant food : Shoots 5 homing spores (1 spore for each zombie) at the 5 zombies closest to home, these spores are the exact same as the ones from the regular attack. If there is 4 or less zombies on the lawn, 2 or more of the spores will pick a random zombie to explode on.
If there are no zombies on the lawn, the spores will pick random tiles to explode on.
I'm being honest, this series when you overanalyzing something is very amazing, entertaining and always caught my guard

Really enjoy Acid Lemon's role as a pseudo PVZ1 Fume Shroom. Really wish this one came overseas as it's a really neat idea

Rafflesia sounds like a cool plant, kinda like Dartichoke, but is far too weak to get anything done.

Rafflesia has the slow fire rate, but its attacks are abysmally weak. A melonpult would be not only cheaper but significantly better.
Bananapults, while more expensive, deal more than enough damage to be a sniper, with the added benefit of being able to choose your target.
Rafflesia is just plain bad.

I’m sure this is a translation issue of some phrase with no english equivalent, but according to its almanac entry Coffee Bean just shouts “Dude, get up to see god” to wake people up, which is extremely threatening

When I play this game a few years back (I don't play it anymore since that phone is long gone), Acidic Citrus literally carried me, I got him to level 3 fast and he started demolishing stages. Along with Cryo-shroom those two are my favorite plants.
Also I think Rafflesia shouldn't in Frostbite Caves but instead Lost City as that plant seemed out of place there, but I guess they need another plant for that world since Rotobaga is moved to Sky City.
Cryo-shroom and Citrus are broken for sure.
Cryo-shroom is especially useful in Kongfu World, since the Torch Monks exist.
Does anyone remember a Chinese PVZ3? It was a card collecting tower defense sort of game. Like PVZ heros combined with the attacking and defense elements of Clash of Clans. You collected plant cards to set up a lawn defense and collected zombie cards to attack other players.
All the cards were unique like you had singer and nurse sunflowers.
One of the zombies was the bandit zombie. It would stay on the right of the screen and fire stones from a slingshot at plants. This was the way for zombies to get resources. The plants were also sleeping at the beginning of the level but would wake up over time/when a zombie is place down/when they get hit. Some plants had gimmicks that they're awake at the beginning of the level.
Dude I remember that game when I was young. I legit thought it was real in China and made drawings from those styles of plants.

@@Thiago_Rodrigues302c has a drastically different levelling system compared to international, and it's only up to level 4 (level 5 for certain plants)

Oak Aecher makes sense to not be relfected by Jester, and his plant food by Parasol, i mean, arrows are sharp, they would just stick into, or in the case of Parasol, stab through the parasol
Also, why do these guys have such high chances at level 4 to be planted with their plant food
I do wonder why Jester can't reflect anything, does PV2C not flag projectiles as reflectable or not and jester needs modifying every time.

Rafflesia seems to be intended as a way to deal with high density zombies in the back, something that could combo well with plans that deal with the front, problem is it takes 7 freaking seconds for this thing to attack and it isn’t even worth taking it along for it’s cost

this video is so exemplary of everything wrong with PVZ China's game design philosophy, even more so than any other video made
The lemon who gets his entire gimmick removed when levelling up, the acorn that is almost a direct copy of bloomerang, two extraordinarily niche plants at the start, Oak Archer is almost comically boring, Rafflesia exists, and the only plant that is earnestly fun and/or at least *interesting* is the lotus
These videos are a great and fascinating series, because I have no clue why there's an entirely separate Chinese version, nor do I know why the game design behind it is so bad; it's bad in the most confusing way as well and I thank you for documenting it

There are 2 types of plants in pvz2 china. The useless ones that exist to counter 1 gimik or exist as a random plant (flat shrooms, planter coffee bea, etc) and the most broken plants ever (ent, monkey fruit etc.) There is literally no in between
I don't think that coffee bean is useless his boost kinda helpful tho
@@BobBobowskifan aloe exists. It's got a much better buff and lasts for as long as it's alive. You also have to mirco it over aloe that just does it himself

Changes some plants need:
Plantern - Upgrade System;
LVL 2 - When planted next to the plant in 3x3 area, the plant will have a 25% DMG boost.
LVL 3 - Same as LVL 3, except 50% now.
LVL 4 - It has a 45% to have a plant food activated when planted.
Coffee Bean - Effect to other plants other than waking them up;
When planted in an area that plants are there in 3x3, not only will it wake them up, but it also will give them a significant speed boost (Since It's a COFFEE Bean).
Acid Lemon - LVL 2 & 3's damage;
LVL 2 & LVL 3 shouldn't damage Coneheads & Newspapers as they don't have metallic armor, and like Flag Zombie said, "it ruins his entire gimmick". It should just instead do more damage to zombies that have metal armor on.
Rafflesia - Attacks;
When it's about to damage a zombie, it should damage the FIRST zombie and not the last one in its lane, same for its PP.
facts: malaysia has the most biggest flower of all, and that is rafflesia. It is so big that even a human can fit inside and the smell is so gross that even attractw insects like flies
