Saw Gary play 3 times. Not ashamed to admit I cried every time! So, so pleased you took the time out to hear his guitar sing. Greatest guitarist ever...
You aren’t “crying”. You’re simply experiencing the music. And that’s one of the greatest gifts that music has to offer. You can be completely fine one minute, and a song hits your soul and you’re wiping away some tears like “wtf just happened to me”. If this is hitting that nerve, you may need to Wade deeper into the blues genre. So many great artists to be found in those waters.
Sadly Gary died on holiday in Spain a few months later and it was almost as if he knew this was to be his last filmed guitar solo. The word genius is too often overused. In a musical sense Gary truly was a genius. Absolute legend. RIP

This song is legendary, and everyone has an opinion on what speaks to them the most; either way, nobody can say that this isn’t there. When you just take a breathe and take it in, it takes you so many places. Great reaction.
I was lucky enough to see Gary Moore only one time way back in 1983 and he was the opening act for Krokus and Def Leppard, and in my opinion stole the show with his guitar prowess. My best friend and I literally went out the next day and bought his album simply based off of the performance the night before. Amazing guitarist. RIP.

Guitar solos aren't about flashy technical tricks or how fast you can play. Solos are about how much emotion you can express through the guitar. Gary Moore was one of the best ever at doing this.
Just like Martial Arts there are many methods of playing guitar. Trust me someone like Yngwie Malmsteen could play every Gary Moore, David Gilmour solo ect... the reality is its too easy for him, it's like comparing rappers delight to an eminem song. Playing technical and fast is more interesting than the same boring over-used blues bends. David Gilmour is good but not anywhere near the level of world class players like Yngwie, Petrucci, Vai ect.. (Gary moore was great though, amazing tone and feel) Its good to slow down and play expressively with few notes, but people act like shredding quick is emotionless, which is straight up false.
@@nickelcreed4421 It's about creating the music. Not the technical skill. There's a 9 year old girl playing "Far beyond the sun" by Malmsteen pretty flawlessly here on YT. With enough practice, people can pluck and play anything. But it takes a master to compose it. I love Malmsteen and Michael Romeo, don't get me wrong. But speed isn't everything, although as you say, it can be full of emotion.
@@potetstappe666 I totally agree, composition comes first, but technical wizardry is the cherry on top man that makes it next level. That girl while impressive for her age, does not sound good at all, with bad touch, and poor improvisational skills, there is no emotion and shes bored / focused which shows in the playing, watch malmsteen play "trilogy suite live" on his official channel circa 1986, its unbelievable. The naunces in his vibrato, and his tone are out of this world, in my opinion no one even comes close, there are people who can play more technical thing, but guys like Van Halen and Malmsteen actually make it sound cool. For example Jason Richardson is insane but always sounds nerdy to me, I wanna see guitar gods with personality.
Gary was amazing. He played with BB King, Albert Collins etc. Many brilliant Hendrix covers and his cover of the Messiah Will Come again and his own Still Got the Blues. Just go and check them all out.

When I first heard Gary LIVE IN PARIS playing"I've Still Got The Blues For You" then I cried too, my friends.
I meant to say,7 months ago, great reaction.
It’s even better when you know what song it is. And the message in the song
He plays this a different time. If you search Gary Moore, the messiah will come again live it’s the one with 12 million views
it’s the best sound I’ve ever heard in my life.
Saw Gary at the praridise club in Boston in the 80’s. Still best show/guitarist I’ve ever seen
He's got to be by far one of the best blues guitarist ever respect, especially you guy's loving it cheers
You made me cry too at this OMG. SOUL. God Bless.
Wow , what an incredible song! Gary Moore was incredible. If he doesn’t play Still got the blues for you, omg you have to listen to that. By far his best most well known song ever!! Also another great blind guitarist and vocalist, Jeff Healey, Angel Eyes. If this brought tears, still got the blues for you, will have you all sobbing, for real!!
What you gentlemen just witnessed was heavenly controlled chaos in music form for the human experience...congratulations...you got to witness something very special!
Being moved to tears is why I love this reaction channel so much 🙏🏻🥹
He never got the credit he deserved, he could make the guitar cry.
R.I.P Gary, You're still the Best...💯🙏💔
He was the best guitarist in the world and always will be!!
Gary Moore, at the tippity top, one of the greats. Nothing else to say. His playing says it all.
Being a white guy who has played guitar for 25 years, this video brought a tear to my eye. No joke ! The only reason I mentioned my color was because I know it’s status quo that white people do rock and black peoples do rap.
So the more I see us crossing over is the more is honestly warms my heart. I love rap, country, rock, jazz, blues I love it all !
And you guys seem to like it all too !
Keep doing what you do ! Love the videos, and YES GARY MOORE…. uh yeah fkn legend !!!
And I’ve always said that he was my all time fav blues guitarist ever !
Gary Moore was soooooooooooo talented. Holy shit, go watch when he done that video for the fender anniversary party !
He was playing a red fender strat, I think he does hey joe by jimi Hendrix. I can’t remember but go check it out next !!!
Red House❤️
Guitar solos aren't about flashy technical tricks or how fast you can play. Solos are about how much emotion you can express through the guitar. Gary Moore was one of the best ever at doing this.
Moore, Gilmour and Knopfler.
Yes....the most emotive guitarist EVER.....
Gary Moore Still Got The Blues Live! Its a must see!! You guys will love it
Gary was amazing. He played with BB King, Albert Collins etc. Many brilliant Hendrix covers and his cover of the Messiah Will Come again and his own Still Got the Blues. Just go and check them all out.
Thank you guys. Great to hear a man from my home country getting some love. ❤
