I'm an amillennialist. Thanks for not going into pre-millennialism, the secret rapture, Jesus returning after 7 years of hell on earth, setting up a physical kingdom in Jerusalem. I believe when Jesus returns as King of Kings, we go up to meet Him and Heaven starts. You did a good job.
@@drea8024 An amillennialist believes Jesus started His Kingdom on earth at Pentecost (the birth of the church). So the worldwide church is the Kingdom of God on earth. Of course, the devil has his kingdom and so there is a spiritual struggle going on right now. Jesus will return at His Second Coming suddenly and unexpectantly -- many people will not be ready, but the spiritually ready Christians will be ready and waiting. The rapture (lifting up of believers to the clouds to meet Jesus) happens when He comes back, not 7 years earlier and not secretly. I'll look up a book for you in my next posting.

I just made the mistake of listening to non-Christians on the book of Revelation. They saw things wrong as they often do, & also added to it things that shouldn't be. In the latter case you & I both know it's not something they're supposed to do because God will punish. However, I 'm sure they're not aware of that. You provide, as a Christian, some much needed positive counterpoint with simple explanations that are accurate. They had been churched before growing up, so them not getting it straight & being twisted about it too -- while enjoying that -- I found to be rather disturbing. I guess since they never got saved there is no indwelling of the Holy Spirit for them to have any understanding. That's biblical, as you & I both know. Thank you. You are a breath of fresh air. The first verse of Revelation is so ignored by eschatologists that it's painful. The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass, and he sent and signified it by his angel unto his servant John: God the Father - function - giving John the Revelator Jesus' Revelation by sending His angel to help John the Revelator with this book. Jesus Christ - function - Revelation OF, not from or about, so they are his instructions He is graciously giving to us. John the Revelator - function - to show us things that must be accomplished by us. Us - function - to perform those instructions written therein - for the time is AT HAND! Angel - function - SIGNIFY [signs, symbols & figurative writing] all that God has him send and to lead us in virtually each and every chapter as he is mentioned usually right at the beginning of each chapter - in different guises and forms, but always him. He morphs and shapeshifts throughout Revelation. He is the one LIKE unto the Son of Man. And finally - things which must shortly come to pass - is also mentioned at least 15 to 20 times throughout Revelation in slightly different ways. It is the URGENCY of those phrases that eschatologists completely ignore so that they can allow for the Rapture. The Rapture is passive yet Revelation is monumentally proactive in all respects.

That begins one of the major arguments in Christian eschatology: all the variables of the Rapture (to which you are referring from 1 Thessalonians 4), the Tribulation, and the Millennial Kingdom. This is one of the reasons any modern commentary on Revelation runs about 900+ pages.
Only one Gospel: The Gospel of Reconciliation. Jesus Christ came into THEIR kingdom to reconcile fallen angels unto Himself. We are the fallen angels kept in DNA chains of darkness. No. It is not excluded from the Bible and any church who doesnt teach on Revelation especially in these last days I would suggest you leave that church. We are in the end times and all Christians should know what to expect so we can prepare for Jesus coming.

I believe in God, and I am being sincere when I ask this question. Why is there religion? I was brought up and baptized in the Christian church, but I realize only now how much religion has separated us, caused war. Why do we define ourselves the way we do? I don’t think God would do that. Why can’t we all be children of God? I don’t think he would say, “ok, You will be Christian”, and “you, will he catholic”.. Can someone please explain this to me?

It's a bigger conversation than a youtube comment :) But for starters, God wants a relationship with us- it's not Him that has started the wars but rather us doing things often quite wickedly in his name. The God of the bible is a God that sent his Son to die in our place, that's a God that shows he doesn't want us separated but restored.
Revelations is the hardest book for me to understand (as it is for many believers) but I feel led to read it again and again as well. Hello! This is how you can be saved: We have all sinned and fallen short of Gods glory. Don’t think you have? Let’s check with the Ten Commandments! (Gods moral standard) Have you ever stolen? If you ever done any of those things, you would be either a liar, a thief, an adulterer,(for looking with lust) , or a blasphemer(for taking Gods name in vain) or maybe even all of them. Therefore we have sinned against God. (Romans 3:23) And we need His mercy. That’s why 2000 years ago a Savior was sent, Jesus Christ to die for the sins of the world. Through His sacrifice we can be made new by accepting His free gift of Salvation. We must understand that we are saved by Him first. For it is by GRACE through FAITH that we are saved. And In order to accept this free gift, it’s by believing that He died for our sins and rose 3 days later. (having FAITH in what he did) Now as a result of Salvation, and evidence of TRUE faith shows submission to Christ. This means Repentance(a change of heart), Obedience( In Gods word), proclaiming/confessing your faith in the Savior,producing the Fruits of the Spirit, etc. True faith submits to Him. We are saved FOR good works, not BY our good works.

The bible will be shut again very soon, as the Holy Spirit that was sent to teach, help us understand, interpret to and lead us until the time of the end would have taken all Believers up and out of this world, thus, the bible returning to how it was in Isaiah 28:11-12; Amos 8:11-12. The whole counsel of God will be fulfilled, and then the end will come.
You initial premise is wrong: that we live in a world devoid of hope. Quite the contrary. We live in a world dominated by media trying to make a buck and thus full of falsity. Post WW2, we actually live in the best period by far that the world has every known. I challenge you to tell me a better time.
Hello! Just wanted to share some information/reflection. During the time of the first coming, was anyone able to understand the old testament prophecies before Jesus? Nope, not until they were fulfilled through Jesus. God said in Isaiah 29:11-12 that this prophecy was sealed (understanding not available) and that it would be opened/revealed (understanding available) at an appointed time (Hab 2:2-3) which was the time of Jesus' first coming. What exactly were people not able to understand from the prophecies? The realities of their fulfillment, which was why many Jews did not believe in Jesus. The same is said for the book of Revelation. Rv 5 says that the sealed book at the right hand of God was opened through Jesus, but keep in mind that this was only a vision given to the apostle John. This means that the reality/fulfillment of it did not happen with the Apostle John, so the book was still sealed. What does this imply? Unless you know the realities of the fulfillment of Revelation, you are not able to understand this book to its entirety. Remember, the Pharisees, Teachers of the Law, and many other Jews had their own version of who the Messiah was going to be. They never pictured it to be Jesus. Just something to think about! Below is the actual testimony of the fulfillment of Revelation and is available chapter per chapter. I know it is very difficult to believe, but it was also difficult for many people to believe in Jesus at the first coming.

Yes, God doesn't want us to be Christian or Catholic or others. God wants us to be restored in fellowhip with Him, through the death of Jesus Christ.
