I agree, I’m quite happy with any age of tech - as long as it suits my intended riding! I honestly think there is a growing movement of riders building their bikes their way, with their choice of brakes and gears, and perhaps the industry will see this one day, or perhaps not 😁😁
Marvellous work 👍. If I'm being honest, this is the bike I probably _should_ have. Instead, I've restomodded a 700c 531 Harry Hall tourer into something of a hike-a-bike type audaxer. Very silly of me. A dedicated frame would make much more sense. Plus, my commuter is a 26", so clearly I need something in-between. Any excuse for n+1, eh 😁? ...
Well there’s always room for another bike! 531 Harry hall is a nice thing though too - especially with some resto mod flavours, that’s my kind of bike! I’m looking forward to seeing what this one rides like though!
Great... not everything has to be super-duper aero, electronic, hydraulic. Rock-on! 👍
Awesome comment - so true!!
Absolutely, in fact, the average cyclist isn't interested in the latest tech, and isn't really catered for by most of the industry manufacturers.

Thanks so much!!! 👍👍
It you happen to remember, what nitto bars are those Mr Downhill?
I’m not too sure what model they are as I’ve had them for so long - I’m not even sure they make them these days!
Good work, just shame those centre pulls have weak braking force.
Hopefully they’ll be good enough for road use 🤞
What sort of shim did you use for the headset spacers?
It’s a stem spacer for converting from 1 1/8” to a 1” steerer - works a treat for keeping the spacers aligned
Great video! I am Amelia from HITWAY, an ebike brand, we want to cooperate with you, are you interested?
Thank you, yes I’d certainly be interested, how do I contact you?.
