      Hi Anne.
      As always thank you for your comments, and your messages, I'm so sorry but I really don't have time to answer them all in messenger. 😁👌😉👍
      Yeah, the rubbish, is just absolutely heartbreaking.
      Nature normally, learns to live with the environment its given, each species, living with one another....not man!...destroy, destroy, destroy!!!😡😡😡 all it takes is for them to put the rubbish in the bins ( provided by DHT) and it can help promote clean seas....its unbelievable, that men would treat the place like this where they work...and everything has a cycle too.
      The fish eat the plastic, we eat the fish!🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️ the mind boggles. 😳😳😳
      Anyway, glad you and your mum are enjoying the vlogs.
      Enjoy the rest of your weekend.
      All the best.
      Baz.😉👍

    The rubbish left is shocking! was out at Dunbar couple weeks ago fishing and there was coke cans floating about freshly thrown over the side of a boat. Dunbar is well over fished for lobster far to many creels about. I know people need to make a living but there definitely needs to be a cap on how many creels a boat can have. And how many boats you can have fishing, something like Australia have. Dunbar is a lovley place love going there with the family. Good job Barry 👏 keep up the good work 👍

      Hi Michael.
      Thank you so much for your comment.
      And....your absolutely right on all counts.
      The rubbish is absolutely disgusting, and theirs certainly no need for it, especially when Dunbar harbour trust has bins on the shore.
      All it takes is the laziness to stop and the right thing to do, and we can help keep our sea clean, after all we do work there...it amazes me how dumb people can be.😳😳😳
      Yeah, every other country in the world seems to have there fisheries squared away....Scotland...not so much.☹👎...in years to come, we shall definitely, reap what we sow, from this over fishing.
      I just hope that the men see sense before it's too late...but money will always win over common sense.🤷‍♂️🙄🙄🙄
      Hope you enjoy the rest of your weekend bud.
      All the best.
      Baz.😉👍

    Heart breaking to see the rubbish and the poor catch for you. x

      Hi Jackie,
      I think the men treating the sea like a rubbish tip, is certainly more heartbreaking than the poor catches...poor catches will improve but will the sea, if we keep treating it like a dumping ground 🤔
      I'm more upset, it was our guys that done it.
      Hope you and Pop's have a lovely weekend.
      Love loads xxx

    Your grounds are over fished by the looks of it, maybe time to increase the minimum landing size to 90 mil

    • @onemanandhisboat
      @onemanandhisboat  2 роки тому +1

      Hi Craig.
      Oh, it's definitely over fished...we need creel limits, and slowly putting up the size is definitely a solution....but unfortunately our Government can't police this fishery, or don't care...I'll leave you to figure which one.😂😂😂
      Thank you for your comment bud.
      Really appreciate it.
      Have a great weekend.

      Hi buddy.
      Thank you for your comment. 😁👌
      TBH, I can only give you guestimate, as with our type of fishing, and our location, we don't have to steam far...best guess would be 2 to 3 litres an hr @ 1700 rpm.
      I don't really go hard at it with the price of fuel, the engine can do a max of 2800 rpm, but with being a displacement hull, she doesn't go no faster, so no point, putting in the ware and tare on the engine, for zero more performance. 😁👌
      I hope that's a satisfactory explanation, best I can do, for the small hrs I'm at sea bud.
      Hope you have a great weekend.
      All the best. 😉👍

      @@onemanandhisboat I have one more question Baz. You have 1100 Ron to spare, if it's very rough will that extra power help even though you cannot go over the proverbial " hull speed". Just curious about these boats, I want one!!!

    • @onemanandhisboat
      @onemanandhisboat  2 роки тому

      I would highly recommend these boats to anyone, they are fantastic sea boats.
      If it got too choppy it's nice to know that the extra revs are there if needed...but! I was sneaky, I stuck on a 280 PRM gearbox, instead of the 160 ( which was advised), that gives me all the torque I need to get through a chop, without wasting as much fuel.😁👌

    • @osu3221
      @osu3221 2 роки тому +1

      @@onemanandhisboat oh yea! Gearing always helps push along.

    • @onemanandhisboat
      @onemanandhisboat  2 роки тому

      Oh it certainly does...mind you, I don't think you could get a 320 PRM in there, the 280, has just a little bit of clearance between the longitudinal's. 😬😬😬😂😂😂😂😂😉👍
