Welcome to our channel. "One Man And His Boat" is about myself, Barry Brunton, and the 'Lynsey B', our brand new Cygnus 21 creel fishing boat. We will document our adventures, from the arrival of the boat, the fit out, the launch and our fishing adventurers off the historic Scottish harbour of Dunbar.
We'll be showing some of the sights and the wildlife to be found in this part of Scotland. We'll also be featuring the other boats that work out of Dunbar and speak to some of the characters in and around the harbour.

With just six fleets of creels to fish with, Baz has a dilemma on where to put them to get the maximum return. So this week he goes on the Elusive Lobster Hunt, moving his gear from deep water into the shallows. Will his hunch pay off?

Baz is back! We apologise about the lack of vlogs over the last two weeks but the reasons why will be revealed in this weeks video. Winter seems to be arriving early after an extremely short summer season, so Baz is preparing for the coming bad weather and starts bringing in some of his creels.
A Beautiful Sunrise (Again)

If there is something that is not in short supply in Sunny Dunny (Dunbar) and that's spectacular sunrises and sunsets. This morning's trip out was greeted by another beautiful sunrise and Jeff took the opportunity to get the drone out to capture some B Roll footage for the upcoming vlogs. This is a quick 90 second edit of some of the footage that Jeff captured on the @DJI Mavic 3 drone.

It was just brilliant to see you getting all these lobsters, maybe they liked the bate. These gulls don't half harrase you, must be realy hungry. That was weird the lobster dropping it's claw off, what a weird thing to do. My mum loves watching you and looks forward to seeing you on the Lynsey B, I recon at 94 she's probably your oldest fan, she doesn't watch much telly but if I ask do you want to watch Barry on his boat she grabs my phone off me, hope the lobsters, are quing up for you, all the best Barry

Interesting to see the Gannets in amongst the gulls waiting for the old bait. ? Maybe the mackeral have left the area and they're struggling for a meal now, or just going for an easier meal?
They must be this year's young, and haven't learned to fly the coop with the rest of the gannets. Gannets will take an easy meal the same as the seagulls, and the boats are the perfect place for breakfast 🤣🤣🤣😁🙄 All the best. Baz.😉👍
