Simply put YES, Victory was the best American made motorcycle, and Polaris was wrong for dropping it. I have an 07 Kingpin at 6'6" it is the only "cruiser" motorcycle that fits me

I had an 09 Kingpin, loved it. I just bought a 2014 Jackpot, love it. I think they went with Indian because it has the name with heritage. I looked at a few indians and it's crazy how many parts are the same.

I'm 70 and started with a 1948 Harley Panhead when I was 16 and rode Harleys for 49 years and got tired of Taiwan and Chinese parts failing and the poor Harley design so 5 years ago switched to a 2007 Victory Kingpin. My Victory is ALOT better than any Harley I ever rode. I've heard the same from several Victory riders who also switched to Victory from Harley.

I have a 2001 v92 I bought two months ago as my first bike. It’s not the prettiest, fastest, or easiest to handle out there, but dammit, I love this freaking bike. It’s reliable, fun, and I bought it for $2k.

I had a 2002 TC Deluxe with the V92 Engine and absolutely loved it. A german shepherd decided to run between the front tire and frame of the bike while riding through some "open range" in the Rockies and it was totaled. I absolutely loved the sound of that bike in the mountains! My 06 Kingpin is sounding good too though.

My favorite thing about Victory is that they weren’t trying to clone a Harley. And they made great bikes. It is a crying shame that they couldn’t sell more motorcycles. I heard somewhere that in 2012 they sold between 10k and 12k bikes, total. Harley sold 250k that same year. The thing that made them awesome is, unfortunately, probably the same thing that killed them, their uniqueness and originality.

I just rented a 2022 Road glide put 500 miles on it in Colorado. Rode my 2013 Cross Country when I got back it week. I can say the Harley wasn't bad but my Victory is right there on power and ride. The Harley had all the bells but other then that I'll take the Victory. Also only paid 9k for my Cross country compared to the Harley was 30k.

I inherited a 2005 Kingpin, Arlen Ness, 92 ci, with only 596 miles on it. So I just had fuel pump rebuilt, new pressure regulator, new in tank filters, new engine oil and filter, new battery. Bike had sat in climate control shop under cover. Completely back up now. I’m probably going to sell it. It does ride well. Completely different feel then a 2007 HD soft tail, my other bike. Very nimble and snappy feeling.

The size of the engine wasn't what made the Victory more powerful than the HD. Over head cams are more efficient than push rods. There's just less power lost because of rotational direction change. Also the Vics always had 4 valve heads which gave 50% more valve area. a Vic 106 will run with or out run a Harley 110.

The 99 to 01 had trans issue. The 02 was intermediate and 03 was the start of the perfect Victory. The V92 stayed with the TC to 06, the CC ended in 03. Having owned three, I liked them all. Still have 2 03’s: Vegas and CC. Little side note, that KP is stock engine, better if you do the upgrade to Stage 1. That passenger backrest was for the Vegas.

I have a 2011 Jackpot Extreme and the only thing I've had to do to it was air filter, oil filter, oil, tires and lube the clutch assemble. Oh and after 9 years the battery finally bit the dust. Closest thing to a chopper that I've had even thou at slow in town speeds that fat 250 back tire is a pain in the butt. Was thinking about trading for a Triumph Bonneville until I just recently found out that they are now made in Thailand. Oh well I'm still happy with the Vic and the is never a day that when I pull into some place on this bike people come up to look at it and comment of it. Even had a Harley mechanic ride it and he said it was one hell of a nice ride. Mines not blacked out it has from the factory a wild paint job and tons of chrome. Victories were fine bikes, too bad Polaris stopped production. At their highlight, a friend of mine was looking at a Victory, the price was right up there with HD and the dealership wouldn't budge. He said screw it and drove up the road a quarter mile and bought a HD. His attitude was, if paying the price of a Harley, I might as well just get the Harley, he did. Kind of sad. I can see the same thing happening with Indian, Polaris is charging HD price again and some are just going for the HD. The difference is the name recognition of Indian and it's history. Victory was just something fairly new in recent bike history.

Parts are only available 10 years from the model year of the bike. Many owners are having trouble with their speed sensors and the sensors have been discontinued. They offer. No other option to correct this problem. Will never purchase a polaris product again.Especially a Indian! Motorcycle!

The new Indian Challenger has a whole lot of Victory built into it (IMHO).
From the aluminum frame to the inverted forks to the next Gen cross country motor, etc...
They can talk about how it's not a Victory, but that is VERY similar to the motor that was leaked as the next Gen Vic Motor..
IF it was truly an Indian motor, it would have had push rods..
Bit if it is a performance Bagger, then it has the soul of a Victory.

Amazing motorcycles!!!!!!! You can't kill them and going to ride it till they die witch they wont. Going to put cams in mine down at the vic shop in desoto iowa and going ride the crap out of it for long time. The 106 motor is even better yet but not the 92c. Went to a victory rally last year and people rode to iowa from new Mexico and Canada. Most die hard riders iv ever met

I wanted a new V92C when they first came out, but they still had some issues. I thought I would wait a couple of years until they got things worked out. But that didn't happen. The dropped the V92C, got mixed up with the Ness mess, and came up with that hideous Vegas. I completely lost interest, and bought a Vulcan 1500 Classic. I never gave Victory a second look. The bikes got uglier and uglier as time went by, and eventually wound up becoming flat black, like everything else.

Yeah, I’m only 5’8 with 29” inseam. I’m also 65 years old with a bad back. I have to fold the drivers backrest down to get my leg over my 06 Kingpin. Also at times I have a hard time standing it up, but when i get it moving, we become one. It is a fantastic riding, driving, smooth and powerful bike. I have thought many times about selling it and getting something a bit lighter but after I go down the road on it that thought just goes away.

Yes, they are still the best bike made at the time... They did roll the new Vic engines into the Scout and Challenger.
