Imagine being upset at 16 having to go to see pink floyd with your father, who has passed. And being upset you couldn't hang with your "friends". I would do anything on earth to go back and do it again with my dad. Such a great man. Just didn't know until it was to late.
@@ShawnandMel4Life absolutely. Way to young to appreciate he took me to see legends. Not many people have had that privilege. Thank you greatly for the condolences. Means a lot.
Don't be so hard on yourself. You knew it all along, just didn't understand it on his level. Any good father doesn't care when you learn the lessons they teach, so long as you learn it and teach it yourself when it sinks in which I'm sure you have done. He's smiling down proudly
Seeing this reminded me how CLASSY this band is. Gilmour in a suit up there singing like an angel with guitar wailing. Back up singers in dresses with the gloves. Pink Floyd forever 🔥❤️💯
That's because modern pop music is commercial jingles. Music that appeals to the lowest common denominators. Why make good music that appeals to a small section of society when you can have a record company produce some generic shitty 4 minutes of music engineered to be catchy, flood it with memes and editing? There's nothing to pioneer in music now, you can't really be original or new, you might as well be rich and terrible.

Oh man I love these reactions. I was raised on Floyd and to me there's no match on earth or heaven that can compete with these incredible artists. The very first song I heard from Floyd was Wish You Were Here at 11 yrs old and I'm 58 yrs old lol. Not a day goes by without listening to Pink Floyd.
"I can't think of anything to say except ... I think it's marvelous! HaHaHa! " For those of you who have been following Pink Floyd for a long time, you will understand.
I'm 70 years old . . . with the heart of a 25 year old ! I was privileged to be witness to Pink Floyd back in the 1970s. I was living in New York and got to see them 5 times, live. Madison Square Garden was the venue for all concerts of note ! I take pride in my broad taste in music . . . from British Invasion stuff from the '60s & '70s, to R & B, to Soul, to TechnoRock ! From the Beatles to the Temptations & Marvin Gaye to Ian Dury & the Blockheads ! NO ONE . . . N-O O-N-E was as technically excellent and creative as Pink Floyd ! Expand out your listening range and tune into albums like Wish You Were Here, Dark Side of the Moon (especially 'Great Gig in the Sky') and Animals. These will blow you away !
It's unfortunate that Pink Floyd retired from touring after keyboardist Rick Wright passed away. I only got to see them once (1994) and their shows were absolutely one-of-a-kind multi-media ultra-sensory experiences of sound, light & visuals. I would love to be able to experience that one more time.
While it's not Pink Floyd, David Gilmour still tours as a solo act (although infrequently). I saw his 2016 tour when it came through Chicago and it was amazing! They had the laser light show and he played a lot of the Floyd classics, along with some of his solo work.
David Gilmour is on hold from touring due to Pandemic, but he has videos of him and his family singing songs together especially his daughter, Romany Gilmour. I think that he might tour one more time.
David's gone on record saying he's excited to be able to play with actual musicians again in the studio. Apparently he has sights set on releasing a new album i the relatively near future. I imagine any corresponding tour would be less rigorous than anything previous given his age. I for one hope he carries on as long as possible and continues to give the world his gifts as only he can. Hands down my favourite guitarist/singer/musician.
My favorite Pink Floyd song. The music and message is timeless. Gives me goosebumps every time. David Gilmore is my second favorite guitar player. My brother is first but he passed away in May, so I'll never hear him play again. 😞
They already reacted to that: ua-cam.com/video/IISl9k9lM-E/v-deo.html I'm hoping they will do 'Sorrow' from the Pulse concert at some point. You can't really go wrong with anything from that show.
I have been lucky enough to see them perform live 2 times, their music always touches my soul,it always takes you spirit flying to another place in time GOAT🙏🌌❤️
