Why do you watch a video about Asian cooking and expect to find no Asian ingredients? If you want to cook using the ingredients you can find easily from the nearest supermarket, you'd better stick to cooking local dishes.
Guys, 10 minutes is the total cooking time! 😁 BTW, Hope you all enjoy my new ramen recipe! This is something I will definitely make weekdays for dinner or weekend for a quick brunch! You can get written & printable recipe here -> seonkyounglongest.com/easy-tantanmen/ Thank you so much for watching! I love you guys so much!! ❤️
Cooked this for my boyfriend and I tonight. And it was a HUGE HIT! He said it was even better than the ramen places we’ve been to in our city. THANK YOU 😊
I'm a college student trying to learn how to cook, and this is the perfect step up from instant ramen! All of this is completely within my ability. I can't wait to try it for myself.
I can't thank you enough for this. For nearly 10 years, I've only ever been able to experience this amazing bowl and my favorite Japanese restaurant when I visit Hawaii. I used this recipe yesterday and got quite emotional when I tasted it because it WAS THE SAME THING!!! Amazing to think that I could make that dish at home!!! Thank you!!!!
The second my husband saw your video he couldn't stop himself to think about it. We, fortunately, had some pork bone broth in our fridge (+slow cooked pork that I shredded for this recipe) so we did 1 cup bone broth for 2 cups of oat milk and then followed the recipe as written apart from minimal seasoning changes based on the spiciness level of our spicy oil or doubanjiang. I can confidently say that this recipe is AMAZING, it actually might be better than some ramen I've had in the restaurant...! So, this is a definite KEEPER! I found out about your channel a few months ago and every recipe I've tried has been delicious. Thanks a lot for your content and I hope you get settled in well in Texas.
Just finished my 2nd bowl, this ramen is BOMB! I followed the instructions but with 2 exceptions 1. Gochujang (Red Pepper Paste) in place of the chili paste 2. Peanutbutter in place of tahini. I was full from bowl one, but still had to have bowl two because the flavors are 🔥🔥🔥. Thank you for sharing, the soy milk hack is clutch!
I use Gochujang as well for the tare and substitute sesame paste with miso paste. Taste amazing as well! I would try using peanut butter the next time. Thanks for the tips!
I made this for my American husband for the first time last FridayI kept hearing him saying "this is so good". Lol 🤣 I made him again very next day 🤣 he loves tantanmyeon so much ❤️
As a cook who used to work in Ramen industry for 13 years, this is a great alternative recipe for short and easy ramen recipe for tantanmen. Even without the chiasu and pork broth, its still flavorful
Omg I tried this today. It was a bomb 🤤 I used gochujang paste instead and peanut butter instead of tahini. However, it was so rich and flavorful. I approved this recipe. Tks u so much.
Literally just watched your dan dan noodles recipe (which I've made thrice so far and loved - planning to recreate as a video soon) and i get the notification for this new video. Such a coincidence! Anyone else had the same experience?
I actually prefer it too, because let's be honest these are recipes from OUR culture, and white influencers selling Asian / Latinx recipes all over instagram just feels like cultural appropriation. At least if they don't even mention the country the dish comes from, and make a ton of money off these things without appreciating ANYTHING else from these counties.
When you announced the move, my first thought was, they are going to get a lot more house for their money in the south. Plus, the (SOME) Southerners are so very hospitable and kind. I hope you guys have a wonderful experience.
I used your original recipe and it was my first time ever making Ramen (I don’t cook much) and I was super pumped the the results. My daughter asks for it all the time.
I made this and the broth was SO delicious. Much better than 99% of the ramen places I have been too. I had to use dry noodles but I bought some healthier noodles and am going to make this again. Fantastic
So.. definitely wasn't 10minutes but WORTH IT. I didn't have the base sauce but I'm grateful you informed what it was composed of so I just eyeballed it with measurements of each...this still turned out better than a lot of restaurants...I also didn't make your chili sauce so I'm sure that would have taken it over the edge...love your channels and it was super cute your excitement about your new kitchen lol
I am so glad you added the boys into the video. We know how to be very well, but it was definitely awesome to see your son. ❤ I am going to share this recipe with my son. We love your food. Thank you. 🙏🏽
Haven't made the recipe yet. I stumbled on her website by accident, when I recognised her voice! Her Pad Thai recipe is the best I could find anywhere online. It's truly to die for.
I feel like I would need another refrigerator for just sauces/all these ingredients I've never used before. Lol!! Takes uo so much space!! But if the end result is this...😍👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
We are basically neighbors now (North Louisiana)!! Please host a meet and greet! I would totally make the 4 hour drive to Dallas! You've inspired me and I've fallen in love with Korean cooking and food since I found your channel a few years ago!
I made this tonight. OMG so very good. Thank you from me and my husband. I will share it with my son who will make it for his family, my 6 year old grandson will love it too.
Made this today with beef less ground instead of pork and let me say that I am stunned this was amazing! 10/10 recommend but beware it is spicy so not for the faint of tongue 😂
Tried it! Substituted some ingredients unavailable here... the Best Part is got so much complement from ppl who usually don't react much! Jump for Joy! Thank you! this is the Best!!!
I got sad when you said add pork but then got happy as a kite when you said "and or Impossible meat" Girl, this really makes me happy. Cause I don't eat meat, mainly nothing on land, more of a Pesc/vegg person. I can't wait to make this at home.
I always enjoy your videos!! You are my go to for Asian food, I went to the Asian market and bought all the ingredients and OMG this is so GOOD!! I just need to make your homemade chili oil and I’ll be set!!! I’m legit eating this as I’m writing this, Thank you so much for this!! Stay amazing
Tomorrow is my birthday. Thanks to your channel I purchased some Sichuan peppers and a mortar&pestle so I can make myself a tasty birthday dinner. I've been looking forward to tomorrow and I hope you keep uploading tasty recipes!!! p.s It's Sichuan Ramen
Thank you so much for this tutorial. Easy to follow and very informative. Congratulations on the new place and beautiful family! Much love from Toronto, Canada!
10 minutes to cook, 4 hours of searching multiple stores for all the ingredients. Worth it 😎
You can find all in Asian grocery
I do too! I went to multiple store and my ingredients still not complete 😥
@@yyzhg6894 I wish I had an Asian Grocery Store or Market in my area but unfortunately there isn't really anything within an hour or so drive lol.
Why do you watch a video about Asian cooking and expect to find no Asian ingredients? If you want to cook using the ingredients you can find easily from the nearest supermarket, you'd better stick to cooking local dishes.
@@vivida7160 Arent you just a ray of sunshine..
I have a feeling this is not going to take me 10 mins...
RedStarryNight sameeeee lol
More like 1 hour
Def not 10 min .
She did a Facebook live this week and got it done in 9:57, but had 3 burners on high. Gotta know your secrets!
Thank you for the recipe. Hope you enjoy Texas!!!

Cooked this for my boyfriend and I tonight. And it was a HUGE HIT! He said it was even better than the ramen places we’ve been to in our city. THANK YOU 😊

Try this one too it's a bit simple. ua-cam.com/video/MbcdIDFu7Bg/v-deo.html
Did you ever try this recipe?

I always love to see how your husband adored all the food that you made
Simple if you’ve already made all the suggested previous ingredients 😑

I love how your husband is always wearing your merch. So supportive.
"My face is shinier than your future"
Never have I been so offended by something I 100% agree with.
🤣🤣🤣 It was a joke someone made as a comment before about my "glowing" face. lol
Lmao I laughed so hard at this . And then I was like wait... but shrugged 🤷🏻♀️ and said true!
And I thought it said skinnier lol
You look stunning!! You’re glowing, honey! Love the new kitchen
Finally a ramen within my skill level. Thank you from Miami.
Finally! Someone that can fry sreak the best way. Stop it.... stop being a simp make sure you eat the best fruits
Oh. My. Gosh. Cooked this today and let me tell you: the BEST ramen recipe I’ve tried. Truly a talented gem, thank you for this!!
Are the ingredients hard to find :(? I want to make it so bad!!!
will you try this one too? ua-cam.com/video/MbcdIDFu7Bg/v-deo.html
Hey...could I use miso soup base instead of tsuyu?
I made this for my American husband for the first time last FridayI kept hearing him saying "this is so good". Lol 🤣 I made him again very next day 🤣 he loves tantanmyeon so much ❤️
New kitchen?! New camera?! New set up?! SEONKYOUNG HAS LEVELED UP! ❤️❤️❤️

this is part of why I love this channel, when she shares what she cooks with the people she loves and seeing their enjoyment.
Congratulations for your new kitchen ❤️
Damnnn her family is so lucky to always eat those kinds of food. She's a blessing
When I look at Latin or asiasn cuisine, I immediately feel better when they have an accent, Lord forgive me if that's wrong
😂 I’m Asian and I approved this comment 😂
It helps avoid the "watered down" version!!
Exactly! When I’m learning I want to learn the right way.
Exactly! I don't want a westernised version with the off brand ingredients. Like using "taco seasoning' instead of making your taco seasoning. Lol
I always love your hubby’s responses to your cooking! 😭 so funny
Making ramen at home always seemed so scary, but you make it look so fun and less intimidating :D
When you announced the move, my first thought was, they are going to get a lot more house for their money in the south. Plus, the (SOME) Southerners are so very hospitable and kind. I hope you guys have a wonderful experience.
“Our new KITCHEEEEEEN-so anyways..” 🤣🤣😂 that transition cracked me up. Thank you for the awesome recipe!
Y‘all……DO THIS RECIPE!! It is so good, I did it today and it legit tasted better than in a restaurant 😩😍
I made this on my 30 minute break XDDD
THIS TASTES SO GOODDDDD
I tried this recipe and it is TERRIFIC!! All my families loved it! Thank you very much!
Those noodles look appetizing, Seonkyoung. Thanks for another great recipe from a beautiful Korean cook.
I used your original recipe and it was my first time ever making Ramen (I don’t cook much) and I was super pumped the the results. My daughter asks for it all the time.
Fantastic! How amazing is that?!?! Great job!!
I cut this recipe in half to make one serving for myself, I skipped all the spicy ingredients but JESUS THIS IS DELICIOUS!!!
I made this and the broth was SO delicious. Much better than 99% of the ramen places I have been too. I had to use dry noodles but I bought some healthier noodles and am going to make this again. Fantastic
Made it again. Added korean chili flakes. Made it even better
just wait, when im not broke anymore, im gonna master all of ur dishes!
So.. definitely wasn't 10minutes but WORTH IT. You're in Texas! Welcome!!! My husband asks--- when can we come to dinner? We can bring you local, farm fresh ingredients!!!!
Just made it!!!! This was my third recipe I've tried of yours and they have been all delicious!!!! Thanks :D

You should do a vlog when you go food shopping. Welcome to Texas and congrats on your new home!!!
I am so glad you added the boys into the video. We know how to be very well, but it was definitely awesome to see your son. ❤
I am going to share this recipe with my son. We love your food. Thank you. 🙏🏽
This is a match made in heaven~ ramen and soysauce noodle~ 😍
Haven't made the recipe yet. I stumbled on her website by accident, when I recognised her voice! Her Pad Thai recipe is the best I could find anywhere online. It's truly to die for.
I feel like I would need another refrigerator for just sauces/all these ingredients I've never used before. Lol!! Takes uo so much space!! But if the end result is this...😍👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Ooooo! My guilty pleasure ramen is the “Creamy Chicken” flavor - I wonder if soy milk ramen is my homemade hack!
Just made this and it was AMAZING !!
It would take me 10 min just to cut those green onions 😬 looks delicious though!
I made this tonight. OMG so very good. Thank you from me and my husband. I will share it with my son who will make it for his family, my 6 year old grandson will love it too.
That is 4 tablespoons of Oyster Sauce!
Can't WAIT to try this recipe! I never to use unsweetened soy milk to get that milky broth no one ever has time to make old school! Thank you!!! 😘
That much oyster sauce is at least 3 tbsp 😂
Lol I just commented and saw yours great minds think alike
Made this today with beef less ground instead of pork and let me say that I am stunned this was amazing! 10/10 recommend but beware it is spicy so not for the faint of tongue 😂

Nooders
Finally a "fancy" Ramen that doesn't take hours to cook! Can't wait to try this!
Looks good but definitely too complex, too many unique ingredients.
Subscribed! You had me at that spin while screaming "KITCHEEEEE!!" and "My face is shinier than your future!" More power!
Wow. YOU are the real gem for this.
Tried it! Substituted some ingredients unavailable here... the Best Part is got so much complement from ppl who usually don't react much! Jump for Joy! Thank you! this is the Best!!!

I got sad when you said add pork but then got happy as a kite when you said "and or Impossible meat"
