Thanks for watching :) And before anyone writes another comment telling me to ”never come back to china”: I’m telling my observations and trying to be as realistic as possible. Let’s keep the vibe positive on the channel✌️
Really realistic? Hardly seen a such close-minde exchange student who is bitching about something incomparable. Why don't your lovely green Finnland to the concrete jungle of New York?
I get what you are saying. I lived in Canada and I love the nature there too. As for the airport security checks, the multiple layers of security is very annoying, I get that. They could have done it more efficiently, no question about it. But China is doing what's necessary to protect the general public from terrorism. Between the 1990s to 2015, there were multiple terrorist attacks throughout China (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Terrorism_in_China) in public places by the separatists from Xinjiang area for the establishment of East Turkestan in Xinjiang. Many civilians died including a massacre in the Kunming Railroad Station and in Tiananmen Square in Beijing. Since then, China has implemented strict security measures in all train stations, airports and significant areas. It's not for the control of people but for the prevention of attacks. There has been no more attacks since 2015. China also instituted patriotism education and trade schools for people from Xinjiang, which the West called concentration camps while all of the Muslim world didn't have an issue with what China is doing. That's why the Chinese people are willing to put up with such measures in public places. Please don't see it as authoritarian control.
UA-cam shadow banned me, I hope this one shows up, so much for freedom of speech..ewww🤮🤮 We all want security, except for the culprits themselves. China is well known as a country of efficiency, that multiple checks just cancel out this status, it's not just annoying, total lack of common sense from the airport security or Chinese government. Shouldn't one check and record everything be enough? Imagine, you have to unpack and repack multiple times, how does it make you feel? I have often said, China is a country that can run very fast, but it chooses to crawl...sometimes in the name of tradition
China is huge! The nature you are enjoying back in Finland is also available in the West part of China if you have a chance to visit there...check out some youtubers who's been to those places and you will see how amazing that is...
Yeah probably those are really good places to be, I wanted just to express how nearby a forest can be to the capital and how easy it is to just go hiking after work or a long school day.
@@ArniJ.North Xinjiang gives you scenaries like those of Switzerland. Hunan has the Avatar mountains. If you like nature, China has plenty to offer, from rainforest to desert, from burning basin to snow capped mountains. The only downside is they are often crowded.

@@ArniJ. but comparing a metropolis like Shanghai to Helsinki is pretty ridiculous. Helsinki would be considered a little town based on Chinese standards and of course it’s easier to be close to nature when the city is small itself. Have you been to Hangzhou? It’s another metropolis only less than an hour train ride from Shanghai, and it’s surrounded by mountains.
The people who told you to avoid dealing with Chinese are probably those that have never dealt with Chinese themselves. Chinese as well as Chinese products are diverse. There are good ones and inferior ones. People could be blinded by the lies made by media. But business owners could not be easily fooled. If the cost of dealing with China outweighed the benefit, they would have found the alternatives.
Finland is a tiny country compared to China. The governing of such a small country is vastly different from governing China. You don’t have 56 ethnic groups, different religions, different landscapes, desert, highland, different cultures, etc. You have a lot to learn yet !
The fact is if you stay in Finland for the next 50 years you will see little change because Finland has more land but not enough people to develop it. China is the opposite. The China you know today will be different in 5 years! Also you can play and enjoy nature in Finland with a relax life style in a society with little competition but if you are in China you have to compete in a busy economy to earn your keep.
@gunsumwong3948 Sorry, but got to update you on geopolitical affairs concerning Finland Enjoy Finland for the beauty & peace it still offers. For it will soon be destroyed, by what your Finland Government had unanimously signed off to warmonger US. Don't believe me, you should read the documents on what was signed over to US, or probably your Government kept it a secret from the public & the future generations of Finland. Google or UA-cam, it's in the news, a triumph, victory for US, which US couldn't help boasting & bragging over.
I don’t know if the passport scan in Finland also applies to foreigners. In china though, Chinese also able to use passport scan to passthrough immigration.
Sorry to say, but China does have automatic check for passport but only for Chinese citizens, I think Europe is the same, because I work in Spain everytime I come into border, only EU citizens can do automatic passport check, not the foreigners.
Nice and heartfelt sharing. Maybe next time you can visit some excellent places to hike in China. They are definitely different from Northern European and equally magnificent as your country's landscape.
China has everything. To the east is the biggest and deepest sea i.e. the Pacific Ocean, in the West is the roof of the world i.e. the Tibetan plateau. In the south, you have tropical climate and in the north you have Mongolian grassland and desert. In between you have all kinds of world-class natural and man-made wonders, including numerous historical sites. In terms of UNESCO-named world heritage sites, China ranks No. 2 in the world.
Finland is a beautiful and peaceful country, to say one's country is good is to truly love one's country. Hope you can come and explore China again, maybe through the journey and experience you can be a communication between Finland and China. Have a nice time and enjoy your time with family.
Is this your summer vacation or you just finished your exchange . I hope you explore more in China ,immerse yourself in Difference culture at different places,China is so huge. And you are always welcome back !🇨🇳
Travel a thousand miles is more rewarding than reading a thousand books. Nothing impresses more than personal experience and exposing to foreign culture widens your brain.
Absolutely agree with you on visiting as many places as one can! There are certain things I miss about almost each and every place. When I revisit them, the same feeling I had comes back again. I miss them but I also know at any given time I can only have one of them.
Well, i dont agree with u. I had been lived in finland many years ago and before that in china for several years too. Compare to china its yeas from capital Helsinki to outside to nature it take more shorter time than from Beijing or Shanghai to oustside, to nature. Thats bc finns cities are smaller, much smaller and also the population. But compare to people, landscapes, culture and social life finland is more boring. Its my openion. U can find from finland about 4 to 5 types of landscape, but in china u can find much more different landscapes from desert to almost tropical forest. Chinese are more patience, descipline, kids more dociles, cutlurally more diverse, more tolerant toward differency, family orianted and human centric sociaty. Thanks for sharing. There are quite a few negative comments. China is about the same size of Europe with more variety of landforms. There are crowded cities, rural forests and endless deserts. No wonder people feel offended when you use city experience to represent the whole country. I agree with you on the immigration check. It was extremely slow for foreigners. I’m very shocked there were only three windows open when I arrived in Shanghai, the largest port in China.
Glad you appreciate your homeland Finland more, which has a small population but big landmass. You should stay in Finland and help develop your country. If you leave others will come to take your home. Compared to China it is much less densely populated. Some provinces in China can be as sparse; just not Shanghai which is a huge populated metropolis.
You left China already and back to your very best love Finland. You can stop talking about China, and talk about your most great Country Finland now. leave China alone and go ahead talk FREE about your country.
I suggest you doing more research about China : China has dominated and will continue to dominate in most of the industries in the world for example the mobile operator DNA in Finland is using Huawei equipment for its telecommunication infrastructure. Even the US , for example Boston metro system they are using railway cars from China. If you study MBA or any business school, you understand the concept of technology adoption cycle (the S curve). China uses its domestic market as the scale down the per unit cost and bring everything down to an affordable level. If without Chinese companies’ contribution, many of us would not have a chance to own a mobile phone today especially in the poor countries.
Are you free to express your opinion about Jews? i dunno Finland. but in USA, The Jewish consortium drew up a blacklist of college students, which they published openly, requiring all companies not to hire these graduates. and finally, i hope u don't speak anything bad about LGBT, this will get u in trouble, deep trouble.

西方国家特别是美国(一个几百年历史的国家)却喜欢对中国事务指手画脚,说三道四,告诉中国人应该怎么生活。
The question is, did you immerse yourself in the Chinese culture when you were there and has your perception of the country changed?
It would takes more than an exchange period of time to immerse, so possibly not.
