Do I think Subnautica 2 and Below Zero are "Woke"? No. But there were some questionable decisions that below zero underwent. As long as the game doesn't stray too far from the first game, and don't implement useless filler for the sake of inclusivity, then the game will be an improvement than the last.

Instead of focusing on the positive of seeing a confirmation of co-op in a teaser trailer you instead got upset that they are making a "melting pot of races". The downsides of Below Zero weren't because of characters being minorities, it was immersion breaking voice lines from the main character and it having a completely different atmosphere than the first game.

When the first Subnautica didn't care about its character, which made it more immersive, with below zero and the new one the characters are much more developed and all of them are from minorities. Deadline was appoarching fast and the devs couldn't really do much more to improve the acting along side the game. the ''woke stuff'' has nothing to do with that point. they tried to make the char more orginial with giving her a girlfriend and background which btw was added in the last stages of development because we knew nearly nothing about who were we playing as and why she is searching the planet.
