How to change the front wheel bearing and hub on a 2006-2012 Ford Fusion, Mercury Milan, Lincoln Zephyr, and Lincoln MKX without removing the knuckle from the vehicle. This method eliminates the need for a shop press, and allows you to do it with normal hand tools and a puller that can be rented from most local part stores. Similar year Mazda 6 should be similar.

Just completed this job. I recommend at leadt a 4lb hammer for the upper control arm, a 2.5 wasnt cutting it for me.

You have to be careful where and how hard you hit though. You can break the cast knuckle or damage the threads on the ball joint.
