I feel like you had the same reaction I did to the final scene. Most reactors just kinda, “Well, that’s interesting 😐” For me it is one of the most powerful scenes in the series. How easy it was for The Night King to raise all of those dead people after they fought so hard to kill them? How cocky and unbothered he was? He really is like that. Just devastating and left me feeling hopeless. How can you fight against that??

Night King is the guy who turns babies into white walkers. Both him and the white walkers can raise the dead and turn them into wights. Wights look different depending on the stage of decomposition they were in when they were raised. Thats why some are skeletons, some are partially rotten and some look like fresh corpses, and we see all of them in this episode. Fire kills wights or prevents corpses from becoming wights. With this episode we learned that it has no effect on WWs (so probably not gonna affect the night king either) but they can be killed with dragonglass and valyrian steel (both created with magic).

The woman on the dock who tickles Arya's arm and earns a smile, I feel this was not scripted. I think the actress thought Arya/Maisie was so adorable, she just couldn't resist tickling her. In the books Arya's name while in Braavos was Cat of the Canals. She was much younger too, 10 or 11. The dock workers, drinkers and sailors would ask Cat to say filthy words in Braavosi, which she was happy to do, to their great delight and howls of laughter.
The many faced god is death. All the different religions in this world have some aspect of death to their religion (in the faith of the seven death is The Stranger.) Everyone dies, death wears many faces all over the world. When the White Walkers sword connects with Longclaw never fails to get me hype 😂

Silence where there should be some kind of sound is terrifying. Our natural instincts tell us that when the world goes quiet we should be afraid because everything is hiding so why aren't we. Like when you're in the woods or something and all the birds and things suddenly go silent? Thats danger. They've seen something. Its ingrained in us to know that's not good. On that note I cant hear no d*** AC and maybe the people complaining should be more grateful for sound

Whilst S5 & 6 are still worth watching owing to episodes like this one and there is still some reasonable dialogue left, most plot lines have gone to pot. Magic, instead of steadily increasing as intended is only used by the producers when absolutely necessary for the spectacle on screen: Dragons and White Walker zombie army. Bits and pieces are still being taken from the books, so much more left out. Bran doesn't even appear at all this season even though there is so much weird stuff going on in the caves beneath that giant Weirwood tree. Character development plummets whilst plot armour sky rockets. There is so much politics going on in The North and Dorne that is all left out and it is gripping, exciting stuff! Jon and Arya are also wargs, left out. Melissandre's magical powers grow when she is at the wall, her "glamour" abilities left out. Danaerys' magical "dragon dreams" where Quaithe appears to her and glass candles were left out altogether. Quaithe and Warlock plot lines just dumped. We don't ever get to see both Jon's and Tyrion's dark sides and both can be ruthless.
Finally first. Bro is teetering on the edge of getting to the end of season 5. Get ready to need a drink and a shit ton of therapy once the season is over. You’ll need it!
