And at one point when Tywin was telling Tyrian that he wanted to throw him in the sea because he could not prove he wasn’t his so there’s a little glimpse into that like theory that’s out there. One of the biggest theories, at least for the books because the last book ended with Jon Snow being stabbed, was that Jon was able to transfer his soul into Ghost as he was dying. All of the Stark children have warg abilities in the books, to an extent, but it was cut from the show. So Ghost looking over at Jon before Jon wakes up is a nod to those theories.
