Just left my optometrist to try daily contacts for the first time after wearing Monthly contacts. She ask me to try the infused for 10 days. So far so good but i will try them for a few days and see what happens. Thanks for sharing your results doc!
I live in the UK and could not find Ultra One Day or Infuse, so I contacted Bausch & Lomb. They said I had to ask my Optometrist to have them order them. I could not get through to them so I contacted a company that sells online and told them about it. They immediately got them in and put them on their website, so I ordered them and 5 days later they just arrived. I will try them tomorrow and hope that they will help with my dry eyes. @@DoctorEyeHealth I don’t remember my optician mentioning these. Do you have a video on these type of lenses? Actually my dry eye symptoms are quite mild in that I only notice them if and when I wear my contact lenses.
I developed dry eye in my mid 50s. It disappeared soon after I took all grains and corn out of my diet. I did add gluten free sprouted oats and some brown rice (all food I eat is organically grown) back into my diet. The dry eye symptoms did not redevelop.

I tried these and they weren't for me. They actually moved around too much in my eye. I currently wear Dailies Aquacomfort Plus. They are my favorite and I don't have any issues with dryness or clarity. They feel like I'm not wearing contacts at all.
That's great info!! Yes, everyone has different eyes and that's why there are so many brands of contact lenses. No one size fits all! I do fit a lot of people in Aquacomfort Plus though, they are a decent lens and pretty affordable.
Thankbyou for posting. I have a prescription for DT1 and the infuse. The DT1 is a much more comfortable fit for me. Infuse have a foreign body sensation when I first put them in. It goes away after an hour.
I have been in Infuse lens since July 2021, (i was on Acuvue Oasys daily) and I am the one was doing my search and elaborating it to my doctor during the routine eye exam that I read about infuse and want to try it. It's very very light to hold and over the eyes but that makes it sometimes if I have nails to get torn very easily. It's very comfortable, sometimes I forget that I am wearing a contact. but I have experienced that if I wear it for 6-8 hours it stick to my eye as you mention also and when I try to remove it, it feels very sticky and hard to get it out! but my overall experience I love it :)
Thank you so much for this comment. I have been using acuvue oasys daily Contacts’s for probably about 10 years now. I recently tried infuse and I think I want to switch but can’t decide. This comment helped immensely
Haven't heard of these lenses. I've had dry eyes for years and on Restasis for over 10 years. Recently a new eye doctor gave me Aqua Comfort Plus lenses to try, but my eyes really weren't very comfortable in them. So I tried the Dailies Total 1s even though my eye doc said they will fit my eyes a little tighter. That is true as I have to always use a rewetting drop before removal. That said, my eyes are more comfortable in the Total 1s. Must be my eyes like the the material better.
I've often struggled with B&L lenses because they are ' too wet' lol but I'm tempted to give these a try! Never got on with Total 1' s as I often say...they're fine for a couple of hours and then just feel like grit. But love Aqua Comfort Plus and Tru Eye...although I've heard J&J have discontinued Tru Eye :(

I tried the Infuse but it was like a good fit for me. It got uncomfortable after 30 min of wear. Hopefully this contacts work for a lot of people with dry eyes.
Do you have a video about bi focal contacts vs 2 different prescription contacts lenses in each eye? My doctor likes the 2 scripts in either eye but I am not sure I like it?
I wear the daily ones four to five days before throwing them out. I experience zero discomfort during the day. Thank you for this review. Love your videos - so informative. I have been looking for good reviews of the Infuse lenses. Are you saying the Infuse lens fits tighter than the Dailies Total 1? Seems odd as the Infuse is listed as 8.6 BC, while the Total 1 is 8.5. I ask because I have relatively flat corneas due to past Lasik. Currently using Dailies Total 1 due to stubborn mixed dry eye. Second question: I have an astigmatism of -1.25 in the worse eye. Do you think a toric like Oasis 1-day would make a significant difference in vision versus the Total 1 or Infuse? Thanks!
All very good questions!!! Thank you. In the past, especially with harder lenses and older soft lenses, the base curve and diameter played a larger role in the fitting process. Now the manufacturers are finding new materials that tend to flex and fit more eyes, no matter what the base curve. In addition, we are now finding that the sag height of the lens (which is somewhat independent of many factors) plays a role in comfort as well. So even lenses like the Dailies Precision 1, which is an 8.3bc, fits most people too. SO it may not matter as much. If the astigmatism is worse in 1 eye. I would also say it depends on what the sphere power is like in that eye. There is a phenomena where if the sphere power is about 4x larger than the astigmatism, a spherical equivalent negates a lot of the astigmatism and you should see very well despite a sphere only lens. BUT for most people, an astigmatism lens will see a bit sharper.
Hi i have scratched just a little bit of my white part in eye i didn't feel any pain or discomfort it do look like needle hole which is visible in mirror so should i pay a visit to eye clinic or not
I would love to try these, but idk if I can replace my Dailies Total 1. If we wanted to try these, could we go to our eye clinic and ask to try these out?
hi dr , can you recommend a very thin colored lenses ,ive been trying colored lenses for almost 20 year and the maximum i can put it in my eyes is one hour ,appreciated

Where can I get the best of treatment for blockage of the upper lachrymal duct of my right eye which causes tearing and pus emission. I presently live and reside in Nigeria 🇳🇬 West Africa 🌍
Today I went in for my overdue eye exam and asked my eye doc for these lenses. He's super cool about letting me try different ones and isn't pushy with certain brands or lenses. I've been using Precision 1 and CooperVision MyDay interchangeably for the last few years but saw some marketing for these when they were initially launched in the US in 2020 so I've been wanting to give them a try. Eye doc was surprised to even hear me mention them - he said he actually totally forgot about them because he usually doesn't recommend B&L's legacy one day product, BioTrue because they've been around for a while and there are better options out there. He didn't even have any trial lenses because B&L hadn't sent him the drawer kit for Infuse. But he was excited that I remembered so he ordered me a trial. He said he'll be very interested to see how I do with them because he'd love to have another lens that slots below Dailies Total 1 (the ones the doc was talking about in this video and are the most expensive one day you can buy) but above cheaper dailies like Coopervision Clariti. I can't wait to try them!
Thanks Dr. Allen, great information. I've never heard of the Infuse Lens. I too end up having to take my contacts out and wearing my glasses earlier and earlier in the day. I wear Proclear One Day. I have an 8.7 curve and a 14.2 diameter, does that mean these lenses won't fit my eyes? Thank you for all this eye health information. My past doctors just diagnosis it as extremely dry eyes. I recently moved to FL so I'm currently looking for a new Ophthalmologist. Thanks Again!
Thanks Nancy! Most of the newer lenses are made to be more flexible and fit more eyes, so even though proclear works well for you at an 8.7 bc and 14.2 diameter...those numbers are not as important as they once were 20+ years ago. That is why manufacturers are no longer making multiple base curves in their fitting sets, they just don't need to because they flex so much. Hope FL treats you well!!!
@@DoctorEyeHealth Sorry to disagree, but that base curve seems to matter a lot to my eyes. I usually wear an 8.3 or 8.4, and lenses with bigger base curves feel like they're flopping around in the breeze. I tried ProClear and B&L about a year ago, and those "newer and better" lenses never fit right, so I stay with my tried-and-true Acuvue Oasys, which always seem to fit well and give me the best acuity.
I had bells palsy 3 years ago and im sill having issues with my right eye being dry and I experience discomfort after a few hours of wearing my contacts would these be something to try?
I'm trying these right now, no dry eye problems but they aren't comfortable for me. I can feel the edges of the lens in my eye. It is irritating. I think these would be perfect with the water gradient technology of the total 1.
How does the B&L Ultra monthly compares to infuse in terms of comfort? For me the regular ultra is just comfortable for a few hours. Total dailies 1 has a more durable comfort. If Infuse is even better that will be a very good thing. If only they came in multifocal torics as well...
I have had to wear glasses since 1st When I turned 18 I switched to contacts. I had to switch to Acuvue Oasys In the spring because severe dry eye problems. But now they are getting just as bad with the Oasys contacts. Would I be able to wear a non toric lens to try the comfort of the Infuse Contacts? I was always told I had a bad astigmatisim. But when searching for a new perscription my eye doctor switched my right eye cyl from -2.25 to -1.25 ? Do I need a Toric lens? Were could I get small packs totry different brands of contacts? I would like to try 30 at a time
Can you please do a video about colored contact options for those of us with astigmatism? I’ve found some expensive online sites but I’m unsure if they’re safe
Usually contact lenses do come in large powers. From +6 to -8 or -12 are common. The biggest risk or side effect is the larger the power the more thick the contact lenses are and we need to be aware of less oxygen getting to the eye, which can cause corneal edema and stress on the cornea.
I’m 28 and was recently diagnosed with Coats. No optometrist found it until recently, I really had no idea. My eyes are fine but they are going to continue monitoring. Anything you can tell me about it? Thanks a lot I appreciate it.
@7:05 If Infuse with BC 8.6 sit tight how is Total 1 with BC 8.5 is perfect for you? Personally I couldn’t stand Total 1 at all and ended up with Oasys 1 day. I’ve just ordered Infuse to see what happens.
Hi doc, do we need to clean/soak daily contact lens in the solution before wearing them or is it ok to just wear them straight from the packaging it came with? Been wondering about this, thanks!
Hello doc. I have a question. When i get up at morning i tend to have dry eyes and sometimes before bed so i put artificial tears to help them. during day they're ok. Do i have dry eyes syndrome? (I have keratoconus)
Is it normal to strain eyes with toric contacts when you look up close? My eyes are relaxed looking into distance but looking close is not comfortable.
Hello sir how r u? Sir my question is that sir I use normal eye cooling eyedrops for eyes but sir I left my mobile on top of my eyedrop for 1 hr ,so sir will it Damage my eyedrop? Can I use my eyedrop on my eyes or buy new one my eyedrop was closed but I left my phone on top of it so is my eye drop damage by radiation of phone ? Shall I use them or buy new one??
Hey Doc, I wear scleral lenses because I have keratoconus and I do love them but I'm dealing with dry eyes and find myself using drops through out the day, any suggestions to help that? or even a longer lasting rewetting drop I can use? I use Tears at the moment... thanks in advance.
Thanks Eric! For rewetting drops, any preservative free drops should work. I prefer Refresh Mega 3 and Systane Products. Also a drop called Freshkote. BUT if the lens is uncomfortable or fogging, best consult your eye doctor who fit them and see if the lenses can be coated or new ones made with Tangible HydraPEG or some other surface treatment. This often improves comfort and wettability.

I just wanna ask. With the 20-20-20 rule, can't you just close your eyes? Every 20 mins, you have to stare at something 20 feet away for 20 seconds, but why not just close your eyes, wouldn't it be just as good?
In a general sense, I'd say yes, But everybody should be doing that. However, it is not a cure for those who suffer with dry eyes when wearing contacts and looking at a screen.

BUT for most people, an astigmatism lens will see a bit sharper.
ive used total1 for years. is Ultra OneDay better/more comfortable than total1?
Hi i have scratched just a little bit of my white part in eye i didn't feel any pain or discomfort it do look like needle hole which is visible in mirror so should i pay a visit to eye clinic or not
I think if you have a question like this and you see a defect, yes, definitely follow up with a local eye care professional.
I would love to try these, but idk if I can replace my Dailies Total 1. If we wanted to try these, could we go to our eye clinic and ask to try these out?
I want these so badly but they‘re not available in Germany
Oh really?! I wonder when they will come out. They are not listed as the Ultra one day are they?
Wrote Bausch+Lomb in Germany an email and asked: They estimate that they will become available in Germany during 2022 (probably as Ultra One Day).
@@christianeschenweck8331 thank you! Nice to know
They are available (ultra one day). I just ordered one package.
hi dr , can you recommend a very thin colored lenses ,ive been trying colored lenses for almost 20 year and the maximum i can put it in my eyes is one hour ,appreciated
I shifted from acuvue true eye to dailies total 1 after facing dry and discomfort issues. I would love to use better technology even with higher price tag but its not available in my country.
I imagine it will eventually be worldwide. How are the Dailies Total 1 working for you?
@@DoctorEyeHealth Its better than true eye and If I'm not tired already the Total 1 is comfy.
Thank you for all info that you give.
I wanted to get these but can just get the biotrue.. how do they compare ?
Is this comfortable for keratoconus ??
Dry eyes and astigmatism...what's the best contacts (I had lasix in 2000,and that adds to dryness)
How do you get the color of your eyes so bright and vibrant?
Luck of genetics, what colors you wear and lighting? 🤔😁
Out of curiosity, how did these work for you?
@@gtgivens wearing them now! Very comfortable. Seems to have a bit longer end of day comfort than the Total 1s. Very happy with them!
Could tightness of the fit counteract the dry eye relief?
Can i do push ups , light weight lifting with high myopia-15 ? Plz reply 🙏
I'm trying these right now, no dry eye problems but they aren't comfortable for me. I can feel the edges of the lens in my eye. It is irritating. I think these would be perfect with the water gradient technology of the total 1.
Sir I have +17 power in my left eye and +20 in my right eye. Shall I get these types contact lenses
Compared to Oasys 1 Day, which one is more moist?
Infuse irritated my eyes a lot throughout the day. Oasys felt far more comfortable for me
@@CallieRios I've tried it already. I feel as same as you, Oasys 1 Day is much better.
I’m ready for these in a bifocal!
OOOh, I have a video about multifocal contacts coming in the next few weeks. What have you tried?
How does the B&L Ultra monthly compares to infuse in terms of comfort? For me the regular ultra is just comfortable for a few hours. Total dailies 1 has a more durable comfort. If Infuse is even better that will be a very good thing. If only they came in multifocal torics as well...
do the make it for presbyopia and what do the call them
Couldn't get on with total 1 proclear works for me as have lazy eye
Infuse & Ultra One Day are not sold in the UK
Can we able to play sports like football , soccer , cricket after c3r-PRK please tell sir.
I personally don't see why not. Of course you will want to call and check in with your surgeon. How far out are you?
Four day's sir
I have had to wear glasses since 1st When I turned 18 I switched to contacts. I had to switch to Acuvue Oasys In the spring because severe dry eye problems. But now they are getting just as bad with the Oasys contacts. Would I be able to wear a non toric lens to try the comfort of the Infuse Contacts?
I was always told I had a bad astigmatisim. But when searching for a new perscription my eye doctor switched my right eye cyl from -2.25 to -1.25 ?
Do I need a Toric lens? Were could I get small packs totry different brands of contacts? I would like to try 30 at a time
Are they covered by most insurance?
Can you please do a video about colored contact options for those of us with astigmatism? I’ve found some expensive online sites but I’m unsure if they’re safe
Why colored contacts?
@@randymarsh9488 cuz there’s so few colored options for astigmatism- I have regular contacts but want the option of changing my eye color
@@maddie8778 why? Just keep the natural eye color
Hii I have a doubt....if I choose small frame, then my lens width or edge thickness can be reduced or not ???
Are contact lenses available for those which a massive eye power? Like 4.5...and are there any side effects?
Usually contact lenses do come in large powers. From +6 to -8 or -12 are common. The biggest risk or side effect is the larger the power the more thick the contact lenses are and we need to be aware of less oxygen getting to the eye, which can cause corneal edema and stress on the cornea.
So is it advisable that we use contact lenses?
If I ever need contacts, I'll get in contact with you :)
💯
I tried them I couldn't get a good clear vision with them. What other products do you recommend?
I like precision 1 and Eyeris too.
I’m 28 and was recently diagnosed with Coats. No optometrist found it until recently, I really had no idea. My eyes are fine but they are going to continue monitoring. Anything you can tell me about it? Thanks a lot I appreciate it.
Hi, what is Coats?
What's the best one now seeing this video is 2 years old?
@7:05 If Infuse with BC 8.6 sit tight how is Total 1 with BC 8.5 is perfect for you? Personally I couldn’t stand Total 1 at all and ended up with Oasys 1 day. I’ve just ordered Infuse to see what happens.
Hi doc, do we need to clean/soak daily contact lens in the solution before wearing them or is it ok to just wear them straight from the packaging it came with? Been wondering about this, thanks!
They're packaged in solution...
Hello doc. I have a question. When i get up at morning i tend to have dry eyes and sometimes before bed so i put artificial tears to help them. during day they're ok. Do i have dry eyes syndrome? (I have keratoconus)
Are these lenses for soft contact lens wearers or hard.? I wear gas permeable lenses.
Is it normal to strain eyes with toric contacts when you look up close? My eyes are relaxed looking into distance but looking close is not comfortable.
You have have a binocular vision anomaly, like convergence insufficiency. Ask your eye care professional
@@Cliche8701 Well, when I take them off the problem is gone, I'm nearsighted
I have I’m ordering
Hello sir how r u? Sir my question is that sir I use normal eye cooling eyedrops for eyes but sir I left my mobile on top of my eyedrop for 1 hr ,so sir will it Damage my eyedrop? Can I use my eyedrop on my eyes or buy new one my eyedrop was closed but I left my phone on top of it so is my eye drop damage by radiation of phone ? Shall I use them or buy new one??
Pls make a video on ghost images
@@DoctorEyeHealth Ok I will try those other products, my lenses do not fog up but tend to get dry later in the day so I might have to monitor wear time, thank you so much for your help.
I’m planning on doing a cosplay and I need purple circle lenses, do you know if Uniqso is a reliable web where I can buy them? I’m really scared to get an infection or worse
They seem not available where I live :( Searched both names.
Hi! A few months back I commented in one of your videos about precision1 for astgmatism. Do you know if those were discontinued? I'm living on Kansas right now, and I couldn't find it online :(
Thank you!!
What about Smart Contact Lenes?
Yes! Much stir about new AR contacts. I cant wait to get my hands on some.
I just wanna ask. With the 20-20-20 rule, can't you just close your eyes?
Every 20 mins, you have to stare at something 20 feet away for 20 seconds, but why not just close your eyes, wouldn't it be just as good?
That is a very good question. I think closing the eyes may also be a good option, especially with the mindset to rest.
In a general sense, I'd say yes, But everybody should be doing that. However, it is not a cure for those who suffer with dry eyes when wearing contacts and looking at a screen.
I can’t wait to find something better than Acuvue Moist which are terrible and keep falling out of my eyes.
DT1 is supposed to last longer
i have flotares pls where can i get eye drop
