@dikdawg3438 in a situation where the octane isn't limiting timing ( you generally need more as rpm increases think of it as lead time) using a centri like say when I went from a D1sc to an F1A-94...the d1sc compressor map was done...but since it's a rising boost curve and the -94 wasn't remotely done the same engine that nosed over early revved another 1000rpm with the -94.... When I put that on an even larger engine I had to drop pulley to get same peak rpm ( at much more power).. That centri is either out of its compressor map efficiency zone with that pulley meaning pulley down, piping size, filter ect...or your timing is causing it to peak early. On a centri it should move your engines natural power peak UP not down....this is if you have enough spring pressure and can't evacuate the exhaust...there are other variables but generally it's down to cfm vs temp vs timing....
Great, video! How frequently should you change the oil in the system? Also, mine has the oil catch can, is there any specific maintenance needed for that? Thank you!
@@SpeedAddict731 so what do you think Ken? Should I sell my 2010 GT500 for a Gen 2, buy an ESS. Can you tune and put an ESS on the new Mach 1's? I could never be as fast as a Gen 2 unless I build my motor, which I'm not doing. Thanks man!

Im really interested in adding one of these ESS superchargers to my 20 PP1 Mustang. Is it a must to upgrade fuel system components if using the 120 pulley? If so what should i go with while using 93 octane?
I’ve really been dragging my feet on adding a supercharger. I’ve got a 16 GT which I believe has the most forged internal parts. It’s a performance pack car, so I assume I’m better off with a centrifugal blower. What do y’all think?
@@SpeedAddict731 I am so tempted to bring my car to u to install a ess kit.. but your so far from me. How long after i drop my car off for your team to install it? day or two, I might be able to do it
@@d3et1roi3t if you are just getting the ESS kit. You will only be here a couple days max. Just need to install the tune. Do data-logging then wot on the dyno to finish the tune.
Have you identified your piston slap yet between 1800-2800 rpm ? I would not recommend putting alot of internal engine parts in the motor. With you adding HP to it , it's definitely gonna blow up prematurely. I just had to order an aluminator short block to rid my 22 mustang gt of the identified piston slap bye the FSE . They started a new one and it slaps too. FSE said it's normal condition. So disappointed with ford. New 1800 mile mustang and I need to buy a new motor to rid the issue . So sad ford. Watching your video as I'm typing, you have a severe piston slap now. Scope you cylinders .
I don’t have any abnormal noise from my engine. If you are talking about the noise at light throttle around 2,000 rpm while driving, Ford has ruled it normal and I have had cars put down 800+ on stock engines with no issue.
@HPR hopefully it holds up for you. I'm not rolling the dice while investing all this cash. 5600 aluminanator short block from ford performance will give me Piece of mind. I hear the rattle in your motor. Get ready to consume oil first, then blow up .
@@brianfisher9012 my engine has almost 2400 miles on it, been boosted since 1,121 miles. It has no abnormal engine noise in it at all and hasn’t used any oil at all. Is this your first gen3 engine? Also how did you hear any noise over the blower or bov in this video? I went back and watched it to see.
@HPR yes. 2 - gen 2 motors boosted with whipple charger. Zero bottom end noise. This has this awful what sounds like the bottom end is coming out since new. It's embarrassing to drive. I have comp cams and springs, boundry oil pump port veined, timing chain gear that i had plans to build this motor but, I do not feel comfortable with this compromised block. Ford performance assured me the 5.0 aluminanator will not piston slap or break with boosted application. I'll be able to sleep a little better at nite with this large investment. And will be able to turn it up a Lil bit more maybe.
Fill to lower level of fill hatch to keep from any issues with over filling.
