They're on an unprepped surface, so the elapsed time for a 0-60 or 1/4th mile are totally irrelevant. However the TRAP SPEED for both vehicles is extremely, extremely indicative of both these cars having nowhere near the amount of claimed power lol. If these cars really were past 900bhp, they'd both be into the 140s for the trap, regardless of how poor of a launch they may have.

980 bhp is around 750 at the wheels. And when you have drivers bouncing off limiters because they THINK paddle shiftibg is quicker, when it isnt, is a issue itself and a manual trans with these cars is not the best choice and crappy street tires, lol. 0-60 probably 5 sec. 1/4 in the mid 11's.

Id really like to see these same two cars competing with professional drivers on race tyres. Those 1/4 mile times are super sad, I had an 86 pushrod 5.0 with maybe 350 horsepower that did high 11's
You are *DEFINITELY NOT* running high 11's with a 350hp Foxbody mustang! I have owned 4 Foxbody stangs and the one that I own now was dyno'd at 372hp and Im running mid to low 13's. Even on a prepped surface I'm still in the 13's. High 11's and low 12's is what Gen 3 and 4 vipers run!
To be fair that's probably done on a prepped surface that would rip your shoe off it if you tried to walk on it, this is on an old dusty runway with grass growing out of it.
Driver mod needed for both cars, when u get the giggles driving your own car you clearly don't have enough seat time🤦🏾♂️...as soon as both cars begin to get into power the drivers chicken out and grab the next gear and fall out of the power band on every upshift...

I run street radials on my Audi in the summer, and have drag springs. Weight shift plus tire is a big deal. I didn’t see too good of weight shift on the cars. @@notyourtypicalfarah7194Yeah ... the problem on W204 C63' s is that you cant get bigger tyres than 275 on the back i think. If he runs 700 HP, those 275s are rookie numbers, 295 would be better which pretty much even a base 911 (no turbo, no turbo s) uses. For comparison a RS5 has 275 on ALL Wheels, front and back, even just with 450 hp. I read into the C63 thematics and the consens is that theres not enough space in the wheel arch for such tyres because you won't fit a 295 rubber on a 9.5J Rim. So you would need at least a 11.0J Rim. I know some people who also have 650-750 hp supercharged W204 C63 ' s and everyone complains about the traction problems. I guess it would still be better than here because the c63 is only automatic. 1000nm on the rear on a manual is uncontrollable from a standing start, thats why some people use custom differentials which are controlled by a GPS Box and custom gearbox control unit which is constantly measuring the wheelspin and taking away power until the tyre does not spin anymore. It works great but most people are too dumb to understand why this is even needed, because they think you can floor 1000nm on the rear and it takes off like a electric car.... It shows that nobodoy really driven a mustang in this comment section because even stock with TC Off the tyres will spin for good 2 seconds until it grips.
@@inkman6964People wont understand that. 95% of the people commenting here know nothing about cars. The youtube comment section is the worst education source for such things, people are ignorant. Interesting battle...Supercharging vs Turbocharging on the same car. I noticed the supercharged car was able to rev cleaner and pull harder higher up the rpm range through its gears than the Turbocharged car did. So maybe "slightly larger" sized turbos are required but with similar boost levels on the Turbocharged Mustang or more waste gating or a combination of both. Cool video always entertaining!
Bigger turbos means the power delivery is worse, but you make bigger power. Because superchargers are lineair with the engine the power delivery is better.
Geez, they can't even beat 1980's era 5.0 times with some gears and good tires. I was turning 12.56 ets in a 1966 Mustang with a 289 on street tires and an open 3.5 rear. Daily driven automatic with a carb. This is just showing that dyno power numbers don't mean a damn thing on the street or on the track. I worked at a company that built a turbo 351 1985 mustang that first pass at the track was an 8.6 et... chassis was only legal for 9.90... again, daily driven. They dyno'd over 1000hp, but dialed it down to low 900hp to get it down the track on street legal slicks.
Still doesn't make sense how a foxbody with h/c/i... pushing 320whp with a t5 trans and some random street tires... runs a mid to high 12 second quarter.... somethings deff wrong here. Or they're at super high elevation?
Bro where do yall find open concrete like that where it’s just concrete for miles and nothing else, I’ve been trying to find an area like that but can’t
Superchargers always made more sense to me because the power is based on engine RPM, turbos on the other hand are too dynamic in their power delivery. honestly though I haven't driven a performance car with either, just turbo diesel 4 bangers and an old 4.2L turbo Nissan Patrol.
Why so slow for the power? I mean they're fast by normal car standards, but not 900bhp+ fast. Either the power is hugely exaggerated or Mustangs have an awful chassis? Would of thought 3 sec 0-60 and 10 or 11 sec 1/4 mile for those specs.
Traction... Ah yeah never heard of it silly me. Surely 900bhp+ cars would have decent suspension, tyres, LSD, etc which would all aid performance stats? These cars are underperforming massively for the power in comparison to other modern machinery. Hence why they're barely on the leader board against cars with almost half the power. Like I said is it a Mustang chassis thing where they just can't put the power down or are these cars not really running the power they say?
@@SpiritBlueFezST remember manufacturers only quote their best times - not necessarily the times you’d expect on the road (or runway). US times are notoriously optimistic and they usually do their times at the strip after a burn out and on a prepped strip. Makes a big difference. Adding more power to Mustangs is the ultimate example of how men are still on the whole, mostly stupid, and are susceptible to marketing and big dyno print outs and claims. The male equivalent of Prada handbags. There is nothing rational about it. Powerful RWD cars start getting slower 0-100km/h times after they creep above 400-450hp atw (on the street using street tyres). The useable power/speed band just creeps further and further up to the point they do not serve as a useful street car platform.
If you think 900hp Mustangs can't be fast than you don't anything about them. Firstly, they didn't have proper tires and secondly they guys can't shift a manual fast enough. If these idiots had proper tires and had a 10 speed automatic, they would be faster.

Is that the Rev Limiter I hear off the line? Is the 3.31 ratio low enough? My 2014 doesn't recover quick from a rev limit. Hey my XSR900 motorcycle has clutchless rev matching shifter both up and down... doesn't FORD have something similar yet? Now that's TECHNOLOGY that doesn't require a double clutch transmission. Precise instant shifts (90% + full power thru the run), never a missed shift. Just don't downshift into beyond redline which gets locked out. That would make ALL the difference in these times at least with a Manual.
....recently I heard about builds where supercharger is powered by turbo....so there isn't HP loss from transmission of torque over belt and turbolack is compensated through airtank I suppose....I wonder if gained power is enough to compensate the extra weight...

Facts
With those 60 foot they got, i say low 130s MPH at 750whp. Need like 1.5 60foot to get close to 140 at their 750ish wheel.
No tires for the race…
Wrong, I have a 2017 Gt350 with a Whipple supercharger that makes 940hp, with no traction it trapped 124 mph in the quarter, traction is a big decider
@@Phantom-gj9hf My Z makes 600 wheel and even spinning all the way down the poorly prepped track it traps in the mid 130’s. 137 is my fastest trap due to poor intercooler efficiency so maybe these guys are heat soaked by the end.
It’s really a 10-speed auto vs a 6-speed manual transmission. Should have both used the same transmission for a true Supercharged / Turbo shootout.
All these people saying these cars are slow, take into consideration the strip they are on is like a back lane. No prep at all, loose surface etc. Close to 1000bhp to the back wheels means very little traction at all 🤷♂️ from a roll these would smoke most your cars 😂
that's because people act like they brain. don't understand the video like you said No prep at all, loose surface back road like racing Close to 1000bhp its going to be impossible to get traction!.
But in fact they are slow on that surface. The surface is part of the world. Only fast on stickies at the drag strip, which is mostly useless in the real world.
I drove my 2013 Corolla at 70 mph on a 45moh road, I know what fast is 😎😎😎
They still slow 😂😂😂😂😂
980 bhp is around 750 at the wheels. And when you have drivers bouncing off limiters because they THINK paddle shiftibg is quicker, when it isnt, is a issue itself and a manual trans with these cars is not the best choice and crappy street tires, lol. 0-60 probably 5 sec. 1/4 in the mid 11's.
Can tell they're just having fun with their cars not trying to go out and compete. Good on em. I think if I hit snooze on my alarm 5 times before getting out of bed, I'd still have a better reaction time getting out the door than they did on the 1/4 mile 🤣

Put either of these on a prepped surface with street radials and they would upset anything. The drivers know this and are out having fun.
Maybe invite MAP down for a serious race where they can show drag prepped and do it properly 😈

I run street radials on my Audi in the summer, and have drag springs. Weight shift plus tire is a big deal. I didn’t see too good of weight shift on the cars.

Jamie, would be really interesting to see how a standard auto Mustang would fair against them, I have a black 5.0l V8 2018 Mustang, with a Rousch exhaust system and slightly lowered standard engine etc. I just think that on that surface my car could probably match them, as it could probably get its power down better and then no manual change, sometimes all the power in the world is useless if all your doing is spinning your wheels. That said great cars, sound amazing and great video . If you ever want to put them up against a standard one for comparison, I’m a member of gas gang and we have spoken before 👍

@@dalturbo he wouldn't smoke them because of the power, but because of these drivers and conditions. A 10 speed automatic with proper tires especially when 250hp more than a 700hp C63 would get destroyed.

That time you can archive with 1.9 tdi fwd and 300/320 HP .

Been waiting for that TT Mustang on the battles! 😳
Sounds like it revs to 5 thousand
Why so slow for the power? I mean they're fast by normal car standards, but not 900bhp+ fast. Either the power is hugely exaggerated or Mustangs have an awful chassis? Would of thought 3 sec 0-60 and 10 or 11 sec 1/4 mile for those specs.
You have heard of an important thing called traction?
Also just for reference check the 2021 supercharged Shelby Mustang GT500 performance stats it has a sub 4 second 0-60 and 'only' 760bhp.
