Emphasizing good rooms and overheads for toms! 🙌
The quality of this video and the knowledge you're giving to us needs to be rewarded by a lot of subs. Great video man! Keep it going 🔥🔥
The tip about getting most of the tom tone from the overheads and room mic is super helpful. I learned something new and important! BTW, regarding SSL strips, I bought my first - the Brainworx SSL 9000 J - a couple days ago. I wanted to have that quick and straighforward approach that the SSL design provides, just as you said. Love your content!
I'm preparing using SSD because I need too much time for good results in Superior drummer. It seems to be that SSD is more "ready to mix" for the modern production. Thanks for your work!
Thanks for the video. Do you find that in composing an arrangement, the drums dictate how the arrangement will be due to them not being flexible enough?
Thanks boss, I got quality information from this, especially using the same plugin all through, gives a deeper understanding of how modules affects the sound, thanks
Thanks man, glad you like the video! Let me know what other topics I can cover for you!
Great video
where did you get that plugging of compression ???
please make video like that with stocks plugins
This was amazing. What gear are you using for your tweaks ? Can I email you questions ?
Hi Danny, Yeah sure, I don't want to put my email address down here, but feel free to reach out through my website www.martinmixing.com!

On striking my alesis crash, it sounds like the SSD splash and not the crash on the reaper DAW.Any help would be appreciated. 👍
@@martinmerenyi601 thank you very much 😊
Great video. What plugins do you specifically recommend for steven slate 5.5?
Depending on your style of music, personally I'm a fan of SSL console emulations. You can not go wrong with a SSL 4000E or 9000J channel strip, it's what I use most, actually.
@@martinmixingI see! I play heavy metal hard rock with steven slate 5.5 on drums with a backing track and I'm looking for plugins to have a good mix in kick snare and in general
@@giannispan8129 ok cool, that's pretty much all SSL then :) I'm happy to do a consultation call or even a mixing workshop for you and your music if you are interested, you don't need that many plugins to make things sound great. That said, if you're serious about music then investing into a plugin bundle from a reputable manufacturer is definitely a great step towards great sound. Stock plugins are great, but the 3rd party plugins make things easier and more convenient, and faster.
Yes i am interested How will this be done? I have cubase 12pro as daw
@@giannispan8129 Great, can you please message me via my website www.martinmixing.com? We can take it from there!
Martin ... and you are from Hungary :D ... if I am not fooled by my ears

@@martinmixing8856 ez volt az első, csinálok dobokat reaperbe, kellet kis segetseg
I cant put the tracks on the channels i dont no how to do it i no its probley simple as u kinda fast forward that part but i dont no how to do it 😭
0:58 I think it's not the alternative kit, if you look at the menu on the left it says "Deluxe 2 Au natural" right under the settings tab.
You're right, thanks!
@@martinmixing You're very welcome, I'm new to SSD and noticed it by coincidence. Helpful feature when you're confused :)
@@goatofalltime19 Hoe you find some useful tips in the video! Check out my other one as well that I did recently, there I show some more advanced mixing techniques as well. But to be honest, Sticking with the methods here should give you great results every time, more than good enough for most music projects that require programmed drums :)
@@martinmixing Yes, I'll check the other one too. SSD is already amazing out of the box but your videos will surely be helpful too. Keep up the good work.
Your videos are just brilliant and simple .thank you mate
