    Thank you, that was beautifully simple. In fact, the only problem I'm having with being new to Studio One is getting used to how simple it is to do so many things!! Great stuff.

    Haven't had a chance to look at the SSD5 VST, but I have a Pearl Mimic Pro which is "Powered by Steven Slate Drums". I send all of my individual kit pieces out like this via physical outputs and mix that way (not using the internal mixer in the Mimic). While that goes outside of the point of this multi-out VST talked about in this video, my point is that it is WELL worth doing the separation of your drums in this way to mix completely inside the box, keeping everything in the same mixer with similar FX, bussing, etc to really glue your mix together and make a cohesive sound rather than having to jump around to different "sub-mixers" and all of the FX that are then completely separate from the rest of the mix. Thanks for sharing this one.

    Great video, thank you a lot!! However do you think that when we record we should use the original levels in the mixer of SSD or should we set to zero all faders? I ask because when mixing the audio files I usually use the original levels that comes with SSD to preserve the balance but I’m not sure if that is the right thing to do. Can you help? Best regards and stay safe!!

      I typically set all the fader in SSD3 to zero

    Great Video! Tried this last night found out that if you change a Groove you have to start from the befinning again all the faders move in unison. Also I was wondering if using this method eats up addtional CPU.Saw one video on another channel where the dude rendering the midi to audio tracks.

    quick question: Can you then bounce each 'empty' drum track to separate burnt audio stem?

      Paul, Right-Click instrument track in the arrangement window, and then select "Transform to Audio
      Track". The options to create individual stems is located there (using Studio One Ver 5.1). Regards, Tony

    Hello: How can I add tracks to the SSD5 mixer? Some drum bodies do not appear in the SSD5 mixer. For example the crash. I don't see any button to add tracks to the mixer. Thank you so much

    Hi Dave, Any reason why you chose to have snare, kick, etc on a stereo track, when the dropdown for each track gives a choice for mono or stereo?

    • @HomeRecordingMadeEasy
      @HomeRecordingMadeEasy  2 роки тому

      no reason. Typically kick, snare, bass, vocal would be mono not stereo

    • @mikeshakespeare4596
      @mikeshakespeare4596 2 роки тому

      @@HomeRecordingMadeEasy Actually the mono outputs do not appear to show in S1. You'll see in your video when you expand the instrument that you only have the option of checking output boxes 1-16, which are all stereo. Mono outputs start from 17 onwards but do not display for reasons I can't understand. Do you know how to make the mono outputs show up in this list?

  • @zebric

    however the tracks are already processed by the ssd plugin, any plug in you apply is over the slate ones.

  • @Tico_Rodrigues7

    I've tried everything, but SO5(Original) doesn't recognize the dll. of the SSD5. it scans other plugins in the C:\Program Files\Vstplugins directory but does not recognize SSD5.

    Where are you getting the list of sounds in the mixer? At 4:11 you are saying click on expand then check off all 14 channels. Where is this list?

  • @bjthebrain968

    Why not just click in the empty box under "routing preset" and choose "Everything on its own stereo." Achieves the same goal in a fraction of the time. This can be done in ssd5 free as well.
