Hi Jon, thank you very much for the nice tutorial! I found you are using Slate Digital plugins a lot. I am wondering how much do you think the effects of Slate Digital plugins are better than the Cubase stock plugins? I guess you can achieve the same quality of your music by using only Cubase stock plugins. Have you ever tried to make such comparison before? Thanks a lot!

You have a great knowledge in sound processing and tone shaping! just a couple of questions: how seriously\professionally it's your Room acoustically treated?, and then ..wich are the specs of your PC? it seems to handle good all the Slate plugs, but actually I don't know how much CPU angry they are..thanks! :)

To me the drums sound better without compression. With the compression, it sounds like the volume is slightly fluctuating in an unnatural way and the sound is too saturated (for lack of a better term). Is it really necessary to add compression?

Hey man, I’m running Cubase Elements 13 with SSD5 (5.5) Have you landed on a solid template yet? I’ve been using SSD5 for about 6 months but only recently figured out how to breakdown the entire kit into their own respective tracks. That said, I’m still working on building a “Go To” SSD5 template that works well with down-tuned heavy guitars, any advice or input would be a great. Thanks!

Does anyone else find that searching for grooves is absolutely TERRIBLE. Time consuming, no organization at all, no ability to label, save, search, modify anything. You can't even tag favorite loops. If anyone has ideas of how they navigate that ancient interface, do speak up.
