- An Air Force airman became suspicious when his daily coffee started tasting “foul” and set up hidden cameras to determine whether it was being tampered with. What he discovered would not only shock him but ultimately lead to the end of his marriage. His own wife, Melody Felicano Johnson, poured bleach into his coffee pot in alleged hopes of poisoning him. Law&Crime’s Sierra Gillespie breaks down how Johnson got caught and where she is now.

wtf... 2 yrs for attempted long term premeditated murder?? people get more for tax evasion
her crime was done with malice, legally malice is a determining factor in deciding severity of punishments. so yeah 2 years for this is a not enough she'll not be incentivized to stop the behavior. it's a precursor to even worse behavior to come.
Maybe so but an alimony free divorce is priceless.
My friend got 15 years for filling 4 fake prescriptions. His mom got 57 years for handing out scripts to people. I think this is wayyyy worse. The justice department is crazy
I agree! Though I think perhaps it’s due to a plea deal for pleading guilty. She’s a dangerous person. She needs a lot more time

She attempted to kill an active duty member of the armed forces and she only got TWO years?!???? That judge is an embarrassment. That vile woman deserves at least 10 years behind bars
Just 10 years? Should be at least 30 years for attempted premeditated murder.
The end reporter said prosecutors wanted 2 years, assuming she made a plea deal it might be out of the judge's hands, I think. Big questions about how such sentences happen with clearly attempted murder cases and stuff, but maybe the dude himself didn't want to deal with a trial, I assume he's safely away from her in every sense, and now many people know not to trust her if she tries anything in the future.

She probably has no prior criminal history which plays a part, it all depends on the state in which the charges where filed and what the law states in the state, but I gaurentee she never tries anything like this again. 2-4yrs may not seem like a lot but trust me it's gna feel like 10 to her prison isn't fun.
