A lot of it is unfortunately due to the game's weak tech. A very common hacking technique is to stress/overload the opposing system to expose vulnerabilities. This game is already running at it's limits so it makes it very easy to poke and prod to find things if you're out there looking for weaknesses and exploits.
A tip for some easy rupees using this method. Fuse Diamonds (or any other high value material) to the weapon and shield before duping. Go to Tarrey Town where there is a Goron that charges 20 rupees to separate fused items without destroying them.
There is a new item dupe that still works after the most recent patch (5/21). More efficient than this, you can dupe up to 16 items at a time and no long save/load times are required. Look up the paraglider dupe glitch.
@@kutsen39 It's easy to do it with paraglider as long as you pick some place tall to fly off of. I like leaving from a balcony in a village. No enemies or worries about hitting anything. Then pause right away after the paraglider opens, do the glitch IMMEDIATELY, and make sure you fly over your shock fruit or bombs so you don't blow them up after. I don't like the shield version because you end up breaking the shield.
Also let it be known that this dupes the spins current state. Sonic you dupe something like a royal shield at low durability the second shield will also be at low durability. So best to do this on new equipment
I found a way to duplicate any equipment without reloading, anywhere. Simply crouch. From here, there is 2 things to do. Bow/Weapon: Drop the equipment, equip any other weapon/bow, then drop all your shields. Pause buffer with + + or B +, then drop your equiped weapon. If done properly, there will be 2 of the first item on the floor, and your shield. Shield: Drop your equipped shield, equip another one, then drop all your shields. Pause-buffer, and drop your equipped shield. There will now be 1 of the SECOND SHIELD on the floor and 1 in your inventory as well as the first shield you dropped that wasn't an equipped one, so do NOT drop a good shield in the start, or you must do it again for the best results.
Just a quick observation I made when trying this: If it doesn’t work and you’ve tried multiple times make sure that you do something different like move to a different area, pick up a weapon, or a herb then save your file. Then try again. Seems if you try to do it on the same spot with little changes in the gameplay it won’t work. Not sure if it’s just me but it works. Another thing that might be the case is that it doesn’t work when I use the super shields, only when I use the original. So maybe that could be it too.
There's also the material's duplication and it's pretty simple compared than in BoTW, let's see if this may get patched or not in next update, who knows
@@mvb02 are u dropping the 2nd bow after the item shows up on the arrow? I've heard that doing it on stairs facing downwards makes it easier, and make sure your shield is equipped and small.
@@mvb02 I think it's a matter of luck on how you press the button, but I've seen this problem happening to some people with certain items I dunno if it's something specific, but you could try with other materials. Also follow what Cabbage says and make sure you do all steps clearly You could also reload your game and try again tho, it helped sometimes but I don't think that's the real solution, just some partial thing you could do. There should be videos going more in-depth with this stuff so you could check them as it's something relatively new

But yeah, hopefully they find another way more efficient to this one, even if it's more complicated at the end you could decide which one do you want to use depending on situations and given that duplicating weapons can be done with the 3 at a time, there could be a way of doing so with materials

For some reason, bows are super hard to dupe. I can dupe shields and weapons pretty easily but I can only dupe like 1 in 10 attempts on the bow and it’s driving me INSANE.
bows are the easiest ones. all you need to do is to stand in slope (like stairs), equip a bow in your hands, drop it, equip another, quickly + +, drop equiped bow. i found out accidentaly when i tried to duplicate items
Atleast on 1.0.0, you can easily duplicate bows. Idk if you can do it without fusing and item to your arrow but this is how I do it. I usually need 3 bows. The 3rd Bow dropped duplicates and occasionally copies the durability and sometimes the upgrade depending on the 2nd bow. I'll equip a new bow with full durability and a decent upgrade, fuse an item to it and quit + about .5 seconds into the green glow. Drop a bow, then drop the equipped bow, then equipped the bow you want to duplicate. Quick ++ out and back into the inventory and then drop the 3rd bow. It should say you can't take this out here and put a bow in your inventory but still have 3 bows on the ground. The new bow should have the durability and upgrade of the 2nd bow. Plus the item you fused to the arrow should also duplicate. I ran into this doing the item duplication glitch and found out it can also duplicate bows. I can't seem to put stats on the Royal Bow though.
still works as of 5/21. I wasn't paying attention yesterday and just started firing down on the A button right after turning on the switch to load the game and looked up and seen the software update loading bar 👀! I then restarted and turned off system updates in settings and walked away until just now to try the glitch. the start ×2 is the hardest part and took a few tries, but thankfully the glitch still worked today. thx for sharing and keeping it short and sweet👍
But you can throw it in front of a rock octoroc, hell suck it in and repair it. Then you can duplicate it. But this works only once per octoroc, so just kill it afterwards, mark the location and wait for a blood moon
use your non-dominant hand (hopefully it helps) or left hand, and quickly click + twice. if not use your other hand. if you wanna know if it works, there is a similar dupe glitch BUT for materials, it's good for like "practicing"
Still works with the shield in 1.1.1 as far as my testing goes, i probably won't do this with weapons or bows i just wanted another hylian sheild to put on my wall

I have watched 10 different dupe videos but they all werent consistent. But this has 100% accuracy. I knew my presses arent slow as I am very fast. Equipping from quick menu, saving, drop -> equip, double press pause, drop and load is the guaranteed gear duplication formula.
You can save weapons (bow or melee) as constructs and recall them through autobuild. Just needs Zonait. Attach (not fuse) them to a fan, save them as a favorite construct. Rebuild the construct out of Zonaite, unwiggle the construct with Ultrahand, take your freshly built weapon.
I can actually say this game is brilliant best zelda game yet and i enjoying playing so far it since it was released on launch but now there is glitches! u can easily do get, inn!.. worked for me thankyu. (100 Percent Zelda) bro for shearing this glitch! with us brings the game to all new level i love doing glitches! yes i was bugger!! for it on GTA 5 lol

Go out and back in the menu like SUPER FAST. Then drop the other item you equipped to drop the first one. Dont leave the menu, just load your save and it should be duped. Sorry for the long reply lmao.

Its a really slow method but hey, it works. I hope they find a faster way or a way that you can dupe multiple mats at same time

Just unequip the bow and drop it after the glitch
One will drop and the copy will stay in your inventory

I had a similar bug, but with a sword. I had it in the hand and on the back (holstered). After dropping it with dpad, both dropped.

If you fuse a weapon with a diamond and you duplicate it a few times, you can separate them in Tarrey town for huge money gains.
you can dupe items on their own use the bow glitch or the shield jump glitch
