I figured I should be a bit more specific about this, since this wasn't mentioned in the video. If you want to duplicate the Zonai Devices in the inventory without taking them out, you'll want to ensure that the devices do not manage to spawn into the world (the message "You can't take that out here" appears) and instead get sent back to your inventory. This way, you can actually add Zonai Devices to your inventory, instead of being at the same amount every time. This has more success doing it behind something big like the Great Fairy Fountains, or up against a corner of some kind.
If you stand on something like a house and use the paraglide to slow your decent. You can get 4 rounds (more than 21 items on the ground will cause them to start to despawn) of duping in one go (jump, pause (+), hold items, unpause (y+b), pause (+) again, repeat) . Saves your shield aswell. Don't need to have items at the end of your inventory. Just do as the above video
Gonna have to check everywhere to see if it is taking an item example. since it sorts items with this method. it could be the item next in line when it sorts., maybe bottom of list. so i'd wait til later today when rest of community starts doing this and exploring everything.
the new y+b method to dup is so much better than the previous one. Now I can dupe as much as I want without worry of losing items like the previous ones did.
this doesnt just transmute the next item in the new sort list? IE rubies when pressing y+b to dupe diamonds if the the sort is set to the one b4 sort by type
The other huge benefit to the new way is if you pause really close to the ground, you can dupe something like beetles and still be able to catch them. You never have time with the shield method. Kind of want to pause buffer and get as close to the ground as possible. But took me maybe 5 minutes to turn 3 Bladed Beetle into 11.
So glad I found this video, I was farming ores the hard way. The only thing I think I'd add is to make sure you don't sell the last one of any item you're duplicating. I learned this the hard way after selling a whole stack of rubies.

Stand completely up against a large wall where the zonite devices can't get spawned because it's too far, then hold 10x, press Y+B and boom you have added ten more devices to inventory rather than dropping them

With the zonai devices if you stand to close to a wall and get the message “You can’t take that out here” and do the dupe they amount you took out actually get added on top of what you already had So if you had 10 rockets did this to close to a wall so you get the message and take out all 10 you end up with 20 in your inventory instead Edit: make sure you don’t have any weapons/bows/shields out, itwont work
a good indicator that it works is that in your Zonai Device menu, as soon as you click y+b or y+(plus sign) you should see the orginal number of the item show back on its icon before it subtracts the amount you take out. Example: if you have only ten rockets and you take all ten, then do the dup.. before the menu close you should see the number of rockets in the menu go from zero back to ten. Meaning it work, so if you have 25 of a device, remove 10 then dup.. before the menu close the number should have change from 15 back 25 and etc... if you don't see it change back to the original, then that mean the dup didn't work and you will just have to try again.
Note: do this in the kara kara bazaar well, there should be a tunnel when you go down and you’ll come across a destroyable wall. Just do dupe around the tunnel and you don’t even need to measure any specific distance
I'd like to add something, that i found out. When you do the Zonai Device glitch correctly and you stand too close to a wall for them to actually spawn, you don't just get the message, that you you're too close to the wall, you also duplicate the Zonai Device in the amount you wanted to take out. For example: I stand too close to a wall, hold 10 fans, do the glitch, i have 20 devices after that in my inventory. Thus, you can actually re-stock the amounts of devices you actually need indefinetly and you don't have to gacha roll what devices you get on which terminal in which amount
(Warning: some minor spoilers in this comment) The perfect place to do this trick is outside the Igoshon Shrine, which is located in the Water Temple archipelago! 1. These sky islands have water physics, with reduced gravity (similar to the moon), so the jumps there are in "slow motion" and makes the trick of jumping on the shield and entering the menu ridiculously easy (not that this is a difficult trick anyway, but in this place it's practically impossible to make a mistake) 2. The physics of the jump is so slow, that when you fall to the ground after pressing Y+B, Link has already stopped surfing the shield, so you will never hit it on the ground and reduce the durability (I have already performed hundreds of times with the same shield and the duplication works perfectly) 3. Outside this shrine, there is a sand floor, which further reduces the chance of damaging the shield, in case the above item fails 4. Because it's right at the entrance of a shrine, it's a perfect spot to teleport easily!

Are you 100% sure nothing in the inventory is taking the place for the duped items? Ive noticed the item you dupe changes slot position so maybe it isnt necessarily taking one from the right but something else at random. Only way to be sure is to take account of every item you have, do the dupe then double check. I find it hard to believe its taking nothing. Edit: Ok just tested this and 100% items are accountable for after the dupe, just had to be sure, thanks for posting!😊
@@n0ame1u1 Yeah that was the first thing that worried me at first, but its safe dw, just made a tonn of good items. One way Id recommend doing it is with the glider since you can drop multiple times before hitting the ground, makes the process much faster. Have fun! :)

Exploring the world becomes so much more relaxing when you don't have to worry about your supplies anymore. You can just pick a direction and go, with confidence that your Unlimited Bombs and 10 Savage Lynel Bows can deal with anything that comes your way.
Yes this helps the exploration a lot. I dont think this will get patched since its a single player and it doesnt affect any quests etc. This I think a feature like BOTW had which makes the game more fun and relaxing.
You can make this even more efficient by doing the gliding version and pausing again right after before touching the ground. You can keep dropping items and duping them as long as you’re not touching the ground and as long as you don’t go beyond the 21 items dropped limit. So in other words you can dupe 20 items at a time rather than just 5.
You just got yourself a new sub!!!! Thanks bro!! For Zonai devices, I duped them by the Forge Construct (underground mine). Stood right next to the wall and item duped worked without item spawning near me. Which is even better. This just made things way easier for farming items. I highly recommend saving often cause it does messes up some time.
If you have Mineru's Construct, its way faster to just sit in the mech and drop items from there, you can still pick up the items and its way easier and faster to drop items
Perfect timing. I was just about to get rid of ALL my Zonai charges to get the Large Zonaite in the last slot of my inventory to do the other glitch. U saved me from wasting those.
The previous glitch was consuming items if the duped items weren't at the end of the inventory because ot was shifting all items after the "1" dropped item the glitch was relying on (if I understood well). But as this glitch relies on sorting the inventory, doesn't it still consume the item that is moved to the duped item slot during the sorting process?

If no one else has pointed this out I just want to mention a couple cautions. 1. you can dupe lizards/bugs but they will try to scatter so depending on how fast you mash to reacquire 1 or 2 might get away but still a net increase. 2. some materials like chu jellies or bomb flowers might react if you land directly on them. (this seems completely random but after duping red and white jellies occasionally I would land on one and get burned/froze but again net increase. bombs however if you land on one detonates all USE CAUTION!!!!!)
The shield jump way will eat through shield's which sucks if you're still early in the game. With the gliding method you can actually do 3 or 4 sets of dups before you even hit the ground.
If you stand too close to the wall to pull it out with the zsd, it puts them back in your inventory to use later. I have 27 big batteries ready to use and 30 mirrors
If you do this from a low glide, you can get up to 4 dupes of 5 items in one go. Don't wanna do more than that if you're mixing items, because over 20 dropped items in the worldspace will trigger despawns, potentially leading to a loss of items. As long as you keep track of the number of items you've dropped, this is faster, easier, and does no shield damage meaning you don't have to do extra work to dupe your shields.
You can do the exact same thing but instead of shield jumping just paraglide. Pause when flying and do the glitch just like he does, but you can also do it multiple times in the air
The great abandoned factory in the depths is the perfect place for the paraglide duplication glitch as well as the zonai device dupe. there is a short ramp and ledge right near the teleport for gliding dupe, and if you tuck youself between 2 of the fans in the nearby alcove, the zonai device dupe works every time.
Tip for easy food: 1. Get some raw meat (I recommend gourmet, a lot of animals in snowy areas drop it) 2. Go to the depths under death mountain 3. Perform this glitch (preferably the paraglider version since there is no sand/snow) 4. Wait for the meat to cook itself, then pick it up
Man this is so awesome! It works really well! I jump off a slight incline and use the glider to avoid damaging the shield! Thanks so much for posting this video.
There's an even faster duping method that was found mere hours after this was making the rounds. Just jump off a ledge pull out glider, open inventory, hold how much you can of what you want duped, then press B & Y together, you will keep the original amount you had while throwing the now duplicated ones on the ground. You can dupe infinitely in air until you touch the ground bigger the ledge the more you get but the ground can only hold 21 items before despawn happens
If you have sage Mineru you can just ride on top and do the glitch. No jump shield surf required. Since your suspended in the air it still works and saves even more time as you are able to collect items while riding Mineru making it very efficient.
When duping items sensitive to dropping force like bomb flowers or giant brightblooms. Do the duplication over water so they have their momentum absorbed. otherwise jump off a small ledge and dupe the bomb flowers in small batches to prevent detonation.
I think it is totally fair to use these glitches, because amount of resorces required for upgrades is ridiculous and also I did many of them already in BotW so I don't feel like it is cheating when I use to upgrade BotW armors.
That's how I feel about grinding for rupees to buy the armor in the first place But I don't feel like gathering the materials in new hyrule is unfair, that's the gameplay loop... Do you want to play TOTK for 10 hours or for 100 hours? Will you enjoy it for 10 or would you enjoy it for 100 Would you naturally find or come across those items within those 100 hours you're more than likely to play? Why duplicate if the game experience itself is cheapened? What are you even playing the game for? To not play it anymore?
The only thing about the old bow glitch, I’m super close to programming a gtuner to just do it for me. Meaning I can AFK while it does it. But glad these came out. So much faster than the bow. And less painful on carpal tunnel hands.
The first one with the shield and also works with devices, but instead of creating devises creates capsules. But you need to be in someplace where you can't use them, bcuz sometimes creates some devices and only ads the remaining capsules (like, can create 3 fans and add 7 to you capsule stack)
This happen to anyone else? When I try doing the wall glitch with big batteries. I get the "cant take that out here" message. Sometimes it dosent do anything. But sometimes it just adds an additional 10 batteries into my inventory. Weirdly, the first time i tried it. I started with 8 and ended up with 18 in my inventory.
I was having problems with bombs and fire fruits activating, I just went to the wetland and glide above a body of water and duped them there. Just picked them up out of the water.
you can also try to do the zonai devices trick near the broken bridge in rito and lucker clover gazette, while standing on iced water and in front of a small wall. the difference is that the items will not come out but instead it will be added to your existing zonite devices inventory.
Nice. I noticed with a glider attached to a shield, i have more airtime. So now as soon as I press Y B, i press + & drop 5 more & repeat until i drop 20 items & get it 20 more of an item. Nice glitch.😬
I am trying it right now. Works really good but save everytime after a dupe if you dupe items that can explode (either you die or lose them if the glitch won't trigger that time) to save a few headaches.
Can confirm that this also works in fairy fountains, that way you won’t need to waste any usage of your shield, and you can resume the the materials just fine
It's better to do off of stairs. This way you can jump and paragliding down, pick up duped items, sprint back up a fee steps, slide turn, jump, paragliding repeat. Once you get a rhythm, you can bang off like 30 successful dupe stacks Ina couple minutes.
Sadly these don't work with bomb flowers because they explode when dropped or when you land from the shield surf. But this is so awesome, I was able to farm so much rupess hahaha!
okok so in the first mine in the underground where you get autobuild there is an empty bottom shelf if you go through it there is enough room to shield jump so do it with fairies and you have enough time to catch them in this small area...... 999 revives here i come
You don't actually need to use this glitch to get infinite rockets, you can just warp to the Mallet Smash shrine at the very north edge of the Tabantha tundra and it spawns rockets forever right in the first room. That's where I get mine anytime I run low.
You can even do the shield one with fairies and things like bugs and frogs. Just make sure you’ve almost touched the ground that way they have less time to get away.
Here's a secondary thing with the duping. Do the shield jump from height. If you Y+B and then immediately press + you can get the glitch off 3-4 times before you hit the ground, massively increasing your yield.
Out of everything, I'm fucking so happy I don't have to hunt for God damn fire keese wings. An hour of searching and I only found 2. Thank God for this.
If you stand 1 or 2 steps away from a wall and make the glitch of the spheres, the spheres won't come out and will be stored instead of laying in the ground.
I'll increase everything to 500 each. After that, any extras I pick anywhere or from Amiibo, sell for profit. I can use the Truffle to cook for maximum hearts including Yellow Hearts all the time.

If you put a fan down, and then paraglide above it, you can save yourself a lot of time and shield durability by just paragliding above the fan and dropping loads of 5 at a time.
Will say that duping large zonai charges and just buying a metric ton of components seems easier than duping the components every time I want to build something lol
trust me the new one is faster, you just have to find a small ramp so you can get back into glide quickly. The new method you don't have to worry about which slot the item is in and you don't need to find something that's only 1 quantity. With some practice and an ideal spot you can duplicate much faster than the old method.
Bro what it’s the same glitch it is just trading out the pause pause for hitting y and b at the same time. And nothing gets deleted so it makes no sense to like the other one more
I think you're a bit confused here, you can still glide and do it multiple times with this, the difference is you skip putting the item in the last slot and has zero chance of losing anything
Even better if you have Minerus’s construct you can go on top of her and do the glitch you dont have to do it in the air and you can pick them up from There too Btw if you want Mineru’s construct you have to defeat the four beast’s the one in Gerudo, Zora, Rito, Goron if you do that then you can start unlocking mineru’s construct
Just a heads up, don't try and do this with anything in a glass container (Oil Jars, Monster Extract, Goron Spice) they will just shatter upon hitting the ground. Same goes for bomb flowers or any of the elemental fruits.
I am amazed TOTK has game breaking glitches, but none of them can be done accidentally and ruin the player experience ^^ feels like a miracle from the developers
Whether it's a miracle or not, my Switch is offline until I've had my fill of TOTK lol. (when my save file is similar to my BOTW file with everything maxed in a way you could play for years without farming........)
It’s even easier if you just do it on the mirue mech don’t even have to jumó just drop 5 from the top of the robot press y+b in the menus and pick them up even easier.

This glitch doesn't need shield surfing, just go up a small slope and use the paraglider and repeat the glitching process, same results without damaging shields.
I was like I’m not playing today I need a break, then this video shows up, now I’m going back to playing 😂 thanks Philly and all the people who discovered this.
If no one else has pointed this out I just want to mention a couple cautions. 1. you can dupe lizards/bugs but they will try to scatter so depending on how fast you mash to reacquire 1 or 2 might get away but still a net increase. 2. some materials like chu jellies or bomb flowers might react if you land directly on them. (this seems completely random but after duping red and white jellies occasionally I would land on one and get burned/froze but again net increase. bombs however if you land on one detonates all USE CAUTION!!!!!)
For red chu I just dupe blue a bunch and then light them on fire as needed.
I liked and subscribed because this is the only easy duplication glitch that has actually worked for me. Thank you for sharing

I love how each glitch builds on eachother. First it was the bow dupe method, then the shield surf dupe, and most recently the shield surf yb dupe.
The shield jump way will eat through shield's which sucks if you're still early in the game. With the gliding method you can actually do 3 or 4 sets of dups before you even hit the ground.
If you stand too close to the wall to pull it out with the zsd, it puts them back in your inventory to use later. I have 27 big batteries ready to use and 30 mirrors
If you do this from a low glide, you can get up to 4 dupes of 5 items in one go. Don't wanna do more than that if you're mixing items, because over 20 dropped items in the worldspace will trigger despawns, potentially leading to a loss of items.
As long as you keep track of the number of items you've dropped, this is faster, easier, and does no shield damage meaning you don't have to do extra work to dupe your shields.
it's even easier in low gravity locations
You can do the exact same thing but instead of shield jumping just paraglide. Pause when flying and do the glitch just like he does, but you can also do it multiple times in the air

Most hilarious thing is spawning like a billion times bombs and watching your switch lag when they all go off in an enemies face

The great abandoned factory in the depths is the perfect place for the paraglide duplication glitch as well as the zonai device dupe. there is a short ramp and ledge right near the teleport for gliding dupe, and if you tuck youself between 2 of the fans in the nearby alcove, the zonai device dupe works every time.
Tip for easy food:
1. Get some raw meat (I recommend gourmet, a lot of animals in snowy areas drop it)
2. Go to the depths under death mountain
3. Perform this glitch (preferably the paraglider version since there is no sand/snow)
4. Wait for the meat to cook itself, then pick it up
so much better than having to sort items around to be the last one, amazing vid Philly!!!
03:34 If you are high enough, you can grab 5, press B & Y, than + again to repeat. Don't go beyond the limit for dropping stuff though.
Man this is so awesome! It works really well! I jump off a slight incline and use the glider to avoid damaging the shield!

That’s great but someone already found a better way with gliding and not breaking shield.
There's an even faster duping method that was found mere hours after this was making the rounds.
Just jump off a ledge pull out glider, open inventory, hold how much you can of what you want duped, then press B & Y together, you will keep the original amount you had while throwing the now duplicated ones on the ground. You can dupe infinitely in air until you touch the ground bigger the ledge the more you get but the ground can only hold 21 items before despawn happens
If you have sage Mineru you can just ride on top and do the glitch. No jump shield surf required. Since your suspended in the air it still works and saves even more time as you are able to collect items while riding Mineru making it very efficient.
When duping items sensitive to dropping force like bomb flowers or giant brightblooms. Do the duplication over water so they have their momentum absorbed. otherwise jump off a small ledge and dupe the bomb flowers in small batches to prevent detonation.
I think it is totally fair to use these glitches, because amount of resorces required for upgrades is ridiculous and also I did many of them already in BotW so I don't feel like it is cheating when I use to upgrade BotW armors.
That's how I feel about grinding for rupees to buy the armor in the first place
But I don't feel like gathering the materials in new hyrule is unfair, that's the gameplay loop...
Do you want to play TOTK for 10 hours or for 100 hours? Will you enjoy it for 10 or would you enjoy it for 100
Would you naturally find or come across those items within those 100 hours you're more than likely to play? Why duplicate if the game experience itself is cheapened?

The only thing about the old bow glitch, I’m super close to programming a gtuner to just do it for me. Meaning I can AFK while it does it. But glad these came out. So much faster than the bow. And less painful on carpal tunnel hands.
Best done in Low Gravity situations where you can glide for longer - also max 20 items on screen.
This is so much fun, and if you do with a dragonfly or other insect that flies away, it is back in your inventory.... lol

The first one with the shield and also works with devices, but instead of creating devises creates capsules. But you need to be in someplace where you can't use them, bcuz sometimes creates some devices and only ads the remaining capsules (like, can create 3 fans and add 7 to you capsule stack)
If you do it in the air, just hit pause immediately and you can do it 4 times before the items start despawning

This happen to anyone else? When I try doing the wall glitch with big batteries. I get the "cant take that out here" message. Sometimes it dosent do anything. But sometimes it just adds an additional 10 batteries into my inventory.
Weirdly, the first time i tried it. I started with 8 and ended up with 18 in my inventory.
Its even easier to do with a wing shield since you jump much higher (any shield + wing)
I was having problems with bombs and fire fruits activating, I just went to the wetland and glide above a body of water and duped them there. Just picked them up out of the water.
you can also try to do the zonai devices trick near the broken bridge in rito and lucker clover gazette, while standing on iced water and in front of a small wall. the difference is that the items will not come out but instead it will be added to your existing zonite devices inventory.
Nice. I noticed with a glider attached to a shield, i have more airtime. So now as soon as I press Y B, i press + & drop 5 more & repeat until i drop 20 items & get it 20 more of an item. Nice glitch.😬

I am trying it right now. Works really good but save everytime after a dupe if you dupe items that can explode (either you die or lose them if the glitch won't trigger that time) to save a few headaches.
Can confirm that this also works in fairy fountains, that way you won’t need to waste any usage of your shield, and you can resume the the materials just fine
It's better to do off of stairs. This way you can jump and paragliding down, pick up duped items, sprint back up a fee steps, slide turn, jump, paragliding repeat. Once you get a rhythm, you can bang off like 30 successful dupe stacks Ina couple minutes.
Sadly these don't work with bomb flowers because they explode when dropped or when you land from the shield surf. But this is so awesome, I was able to farm so much rupess hahaha!
okok so in the first mine in the underground where you get autobuild there is an empty bottom shelf if you go through it there is enough room to shield jump so do it with fairies and you have enough time to catch them in this small area...... 999 revives here i come
You don't actually need to use this glitch to get infinite rockets, you can just warp to the Mallet Smash shrine at the very north edge of the Tabantha tundra and it spawns rockets forever right in the first room. That's where I get mine anytime I run low.

You don’t need to shield surf. You can just be handing from the glider and press Y and B can do this many time in a row while gliding down
You can even do the shield one with fairies and things like bugs and frogs. Just make sure you’ve almost touched the ground that way they have less time to get away.
Here's a secondary thing with the duping. Do the shield jump from height. If you Y+B and then immediately press + you can get the glitch off 3-4 times before you hit the ground, massively increasing your yield.
You can also achieve this by attaching a Wing to your shield, it increases the height you get from the initial shield surf jump
Up to 21 items at the most though. Because anymore than that and items on the ground respawn.
For those who didn't update, sorting dupe works on 1.0.0
So weird, I was able to use the ship glitch this morning and now it doesn't work. I changed it to the glider and works just fine. :P

6:40 if you are along a wide wall the extra devices won’t display
You can press the menu button again while midair and redo it before you picup the items. Much faster
If you stand 1 or 2 steps away from a wall and make the glitch of the spheres, the spheres won't come out and will be stored instead of laying in the ground.
you can just do with with a parachute from high places and keep pausing and duping as you fall until you hit the ground
I'll increase everything to 500 each. After that, any extras I pick anywhere or from Amiibo, sell for profit. I can use the Truffle to cook for maximum hearts including Yellow Hearts all the time.

If you put a fan down, and then paraglide above it, you can save yourself a lot of time and shield durability by just paragliding above the fan and dropping loads of 5 at a time.
looks WAY better than the fuse arrow-bow drop method, gotta try it when i get home!
Will say that duping large zonai charges and just buying a metric ton of components seems easier than duping the components every time I want to build something lol
U may also attach a Wing device to ur shield for a lil more uptime, if u desire that extra cushion.

Getting item in last slot isn’t feasible once u have a lot of it
No you dont
trust me the new one is faster, you just have to find a small ramp so you can get back into glide quickly. The new method you don't have to worry about which slot the item is in and you don't need to find something that's only 1 quantity. With some practice and an ideal spot you can duplicate much faster than the old method.
Bro what it’s the same glitch it is just trading out the pause pause for hitting y and b at the same time. And nothing gets deleted so it makes no sense to like the other one more
I think you're a bit confused here, you can still glide and do it multiple times with this, the difference is you skip putting the item in the last slot and has zero chance of losing anything
Even better if you have Minerus’s construct you can go on top of her and do the glitch you dont have to do it in the air and you can pick them up from There too
Btw if you want Mineru’s construct you have to defeat the four beast’s the one in Gerudo, Zora, Rito, Goron if you do that then you can start unlocking mineru’s construct
Just a heads up, don't try and do this with anything in a glass container (Oil Jars, Monster Extract, Goron Spice) they will just shatter upon hitting the ground. Same goes for bomb flowers or any of the elemental fruits.

I am amazed TOTK has game breaking glitches, but none of them can be done accidentally and ruin the player experience ^^ feels like a miracle from the developers
Whether it's a miracle or not, my Switch is offline until I've had my fill of TOTK lol. (when my save file is similar to my BOTW file with everything maxed in a way you could play for years without farming........)

You can make a copy of zonai devices if you stick to the wall facing it then press Y+B I just discover it when I'm doing the glitch

I tested and the glider glitch works for fairies just be quick so I'd suggest doing about 2 at a time so they don't fly away.
for the duping, you can just put you finger over the B and Y buttons, and then press them at the same time

It’s even easier if you just do it on the mirue mech don’t even have to jumó just drop 5 from the top of the robot press y+b in the menus and pick them up even easier.
