Little info: You can go to Gerudo desert and walk into the sandstorms. Then you have to search for a Mushroom-like thing that spawns gibdos or just search for them in the sandstorms. The gibdos seem really strong but if you use any element like fire, electricity or ice you can nearly two shot them. They nearly always drop their ribcage that does +40 damage and that for nearly free
For anyone killing the lynel, your weapons don't lose durability while you do damage while mounted. So damage the claymore to near breaking to double it's damage and fused damage and stun it and mount it, using the damaged claymore as your weapon
HERE IS A TIP FOR IF YOU LOSE HEARTS TO GLOOM !!! if you cook sundelions it will returned your gloom stloen hearts !! Cook 5 of ghe and get 15 gloom stolen hearts back !! Cook 3 and get 11 ! ( No need to fast travel to the surface )
Quick tip for people struggling with lynels there is a weapon to OBLITERATE them fuse your best material to a royal guard claymore (it needs to have breaking point passive ability) and damage it enough to have it say ‘badly damaged’ so if you fused a decayed rg claymore to a white maned lynel mace horn instead of doing 72 damage it will do double aka 144! So if you ride the lynel and attack it wont drain durability so you have an insane lynel killer (just make sure when it throws you off it you dont press y again and accidentally attack cause it will shatter) the lynels in floating colosseum in depths dont give gloom effect when riding so take use of that. Happy playing :)
Here's a tip for fighting the Lynel - if you can hit the parry, you can probably hit the timing for the backflip. This allows you to use flurry which does a lot more damage. I killed him pretty quick once I stopped parrying and started flurry-ing
if u have a really good sword it's better to parry tho since you have a window to pull out your bow and headshot the lynel, I defeated that lynel in the video in under 30 seconds by just bowspamming and using a double damage lynel royal gaurds sword
In the Throne Room, I recommend checking out the staircase that leads up into a tower. To the right, there will be a pathway to a chest with 50 rupees. I also recommend exploring the Library. There is a Shard of Dinraal’s Spike in one of the hidden rooms.
9:03 Those Horriblins on the ceiling, if you kill the black ones you can fuse their horns with weapons and their horns have +22 fuse damage so they're pretty good even for weapons that do little damage like the boomerang
If you read Zelda's diary that leads you here, it says his old one was tore up so she ordered a new one from the tailor and hid it there as a present for him later
Something to note is that the royal claymore adds x2 multiplier to attack power fuse when it's about to break, hitting the lynel in the back while riding it doesn't cause any damage to the weapon. You hit things with royal claymore, get it to breaking point. Fuse it with soemthing like black bokoblin horn which doubles the fusion damage and then lunch arrows at Linel and get on its back for insane damage, fierce diety is a good pick for these fights or an attack up potion for the duration of the fight.
When you pick up the bow in the sanctum you'll see a large statue near that ledge. Check behind it for another 32 damage royal guards claymore that wasn't mentioned here
Cant believe you missed the dusk bow on top of the tower, such a crucial part of exploring the sanctum lol. Longest range bow in the game if you had just flown like 10 seconds farther you could've landed right on top of it
I went to the floating castle in my beginning too. But I first glided down the shrine, then went to the library. From he cavern bookcase passage I ascended to right outside the throne room area. I got the shield but I managed to get the master sword after several shrines, and some bubble devices. If you ascend from the Room of Awakening, on the beginning sky islands, your high enough to get over the Light Dragon. I think I saw the dragon around midnight every other night. I haven't even been to the depths yet, no camera still. :s. Thank you for showing me the Lionel fight. Really useful.
For the gloom monster you can use brightbloom seeds near it and it will kill it since it gives off light, and to recover hearts stand by fire/light to recover the lost hearts from the gloom
Followed this step for step until I got to the black horroblins with the ledge. Down to one heart and I had gloom damage. It was fun while it lasted lol. Awesome walk through. Thank you
Yeah those gloom horroblins are not an easy fight. I followed this guide after having roughly 35 hours in game, so I had plenty of heart upgrades and stamina upgrades. I still died to those horroblins probably 4-5 times. Not to mention the gloom lynel fight afterwards LOL. This was my first time killing a lynel in ToTK and I couldn't even imagine trying to come down here at the very start of the game with only 4 hearts. It's been years since I played BoTW, so I was rusty as hell when I first started playing ToTK. There's no way I could have pulled this off as soon as I left the sky islands.
I grabbed some puff shrooms before doing this and it made a major difference! If you attack it to a shield, parry their attack it will go off and they stop noticing you. You can legit walk behind them and wail on them and they never notice xD
Thanks for this guide! I was going through 10:43 area and you were saying there's nothing here that we would need anymore, but I explored one of the hidden door area (right side from the entrance we came in) and found another chest that held a Shard of Dinraal's Spike (which when fused can get a +16 power attack, which is good for new players). :)
12:57 what you can do there is actually use a wooden weapon to light the fire and AROOW (BUT DON'T SHOOT IT) and simply walk up and light it. Hope that helps.
Thanks so much for this guide! I was in it for the armor; so clean! At 10:29 There's a Royal Shield behind that chest where the boots were, I only saw it once I got there myself😂
There is a early Shard of Dinraal's Spike in the same room you find the Royal Guard Boots! very good for early Overpoweredness. Its behind a bookshelf to the right of where the Royal Guard Boots are, dont miss this!
You can keep the Lynel 😅. I’ll take my armor, shield and other goodies and conquer other parts of hyrule for now 🎉 thank you for the great detailed guide

Royal Guard Sword was pretty crappy in BotW as well. Great damage for a non-unique aword, but it might as well be made out of balsa wood when it comes to durability.
I loved going into the castle in BotW for weapons whenever I needed them, and I was hoping it'd be the same in TotK. Thx for showing how to get in and where the important things are. There's a purple and a gold rupree in the Sanctum, as well. The Purple is behind the staircase leading up to the right after you get the RG bow. The gold one is a level or two above where you first entered, I'm not sure exactly where, i just stumbled over it. The Hylian shield for later in case it increases in strength the longer i play like in BotW before I get it. The Lynel can wait, I'm still learning new fight strategies without my endless supply of bombs. I'm lousy at the flurry rush. I usually use bonfires to get up in the air and hit the Lynels in the face with bomb arrows. Clearly, I can't do that here. Especially without a flameblade. I sure hope I find one later in the game. Thx for an entertaining and educational video!
Just so you know on Lynels if you hop on their back after you stun them with an arrow and start hitting them your weapons don’t take any damage helps a ton
Stronger monsters are dependent on how many divine beasts you cleared, then up to 10 of each monster (type and then each level: red, blue, black, silver, gold) in the game added to the "XP system" look it up very interesting
I appreciated this tutorial. I did feel like the fight in The Depths was edited because it was not a 1-2-3 fight if you don't have rubies. I only had 1 and died 10 times before I cleared it so if you can find more things that explode to use..do so before you go down there.
Are the weapons in the castle similar to like certain one time spawn items meaning if you pick them up in the early game they are low power and can no longer pick them up late game at a higher power? Has it been tested yet?
when in the castle getting the champ leathers take a side trip to zelda's tower for the 2 50dp royal bow over the fireplace and in the side tower just watch out for the crumbling bridge between them
Thanks so much. A lot of people making videos are doing it already macked out. The only question I have is… will I need those weapons and shields when it time to take the castle and they’re not there anymore?
you are missing out on something really powerful get a royal guards claymore and fuse it with the most strong thing you got then keep jump attacking until it says it almost broken. you wanna then go fight the lynel BUT everytime you can mount it switch off to the nearly broken claymore because when you are on a lynel the weapon does not take durability damage and not only that but you can jump off the lynel right before it kicks you off so you dont take any damage. I used the strategy to get majora's mask and it was super effective. last thing to note is that if you are holding the claymore and you flurry rush make sure to NOT attack because it will break the claymore
13:04 if you don't have a fire fruit just use ultra hand to light any of the wooden objects laying around catch on fire using the torches already lit that's what i did saved fire fruit and arrows
I finally made a weaponized platform with about 5 beam emitters, and 2 cannons, and I took out the floating Coliseum, and got my Majora's Mask, and some cool swag. Finally, now I get to be OP, and will continue farming them every Blood moon. Very good video. Also, I can tell you how to make the platform, for only 33 zonaite. Very inexpensive.
At 21:46 if you ride the Lynel you will ONLY lose the YELLOW "extra" hearts and nothing more. At 22:29 when you see the Lynel scream, while it's screaming if you act fast enought and fire an arrow in its face you will cancel the nuke bomb :D and at 22:44 when Lynel is charing up the flamethrower attack you can either parry it like in the video or just deliver one arrow to the face to cancel the attack =)
I have everything you had while defeating the white Lynel and I still lost as someone who played botw too. You made it so easy man, help. 😭 Thank you for the video and new tips I learned tho, definitely gonna practice lynel combat now. 😅
Also there is a durable 30dmg bow in the highest roof of hyrule castle so if you have stamina I recommend taking that first and go down and pick up a royal bow thats 38dmg from the lower roof

Thanks for the headsup info about getting to the castle. Helped getting the armor and the higher weapons there.
Surprised you didn’t grab that royal shield behind the royal guard boots
Thank you Hispanic Ludwig, great walkthrough more than earned a like & subscribe
I’m not Hispanic but thanks LOL
If you drop it in front of Octrorocks you can get a random enchantment too on top of repairing it.
Just found your page already enjoying all the information!!
I can’t believe I’ve killed that Lyndell without taking an single hit!!
This was greta walkthrough. Exactly what I needed.
Looking good and looking FRESH!! Thanks man, this was really well done, great job!
my son ran up to me while doing this and said dad your really good at that game🤗
Just so you know on Lynels if you hop on their back after you stun them with an arrow and start hitting them your weapons don’t take any damage helps a ton
Grab a couple high level weapons and stronger monsters spawn in the over world too. At least it was that way in botw
Stronger monsters are dependent on how many divine beasts you cleared, then up to 10 of each monster (type and then each level: red, blue, black, silver, gold) in the game added to the "XP system" look it up very interesting
This helped SO MUCH. Thank you so much for this video! You’re awesome and I love your content man!
When your on the Lynel back, you have to jump by hitting X before you run out of stamina. This prevents durability loss and damage.
Good looking out my guy, much apreciated!
I appreciated this tutorial. I did feel like the fight in The Depths was edited because it was not a 1-2-3 fight if you don't have rubies. I only had 1 and died 10 times before I cleared it so if you can find more things that explode to use..do so before you go down there.
How did he forget the royal guards claymore in the sanctum!?
Are the weapons in the castle similar to like certain one time spawn items meaning if you pick them up in the early game they are low power and can no longer pick them up late game at a higher power? Has it been tested yet?
No all values stay the same.. you can upgrade items
@@Al3XB85can you explain?
@@Al3XB85elaborate please
@@tristanward9937you can upgrade them by fusing them with high value materials like horn from Black mobs or Diamond
Watched the entire video 11/10 would recommend
Little tip: if you missed it behind the chest were you get the royal guard boots there is a royal shield.
Behind the statue/rubble pile on the side with bow there is also a royal guards claymore tucked away
Very well put together. You made this whole process easy as pie. Thank you! Oh , and subscribed. Nice work.
when in the castle getting the champ leathers take a side trip to zelda's tower for the 2 50dp royal bow over the fireplace and in the side tower just watch out for the crumbling bridge between them
Thanks for the video!! Have the champion's leather, hylian shield and I actually took down the lynel as well.
Super helpful bro great video definitely want to get the cover art armor for Link
I recommend using the muddle bud wildflower on the lynel it will disorient and confuse the lynel.
Thanks so much. A lot of people making videos are doing it already macked out.
The only question I have is… will I need those weapons and shields when it time to take the castle and they’re not there anymore?
you are missing out on something really powerful
get a royal guards claymore and fuse it with the most strong thing you got then keep jump attacking until it says it almost broken. you wanna then go fight the lynel BUT everytime you can mount it switch off to the nearly broken claymore because when you are on a lynel the weapon does not take durability damage and not only that but you can jump off the lynel right before it kicks you off so you dont take any damage.
At 22:29 when you see the Lynel scream, while it's screaming if you act fast enought and fire an arrow in its face you will cancel the nuke bomb :D
and at 22:44 when Lynel is charing up the flamethrower attack you can either parry it like in the video or just deliver one arrow to the face to cancel the attack =)
I have everything you had while defeating the white Lynel and I still lost as someone who played botw too. You made it so easy man, help. 😭 Thank you for the video and new tips I learned tho, definitely gonna practice lynel combat now. 😅
Also there is a durable 30dmg bow in the highest roof of hyrule castle so if you have stamina I recommend taking that first and go down and pick up a royal bow thats 38dmg from the lower roof
for info : hylian shield can be broke so don't over do it ,it has high durability but can be broken
Man dis dude so good I sub at 8 min
Good stuff man! Amazing video!! Thank you! Got a new follower here!
In the library where you get the boots, you can also light all the torches to get 300 rupees, and you can move another door to get a dragon shard
Just want to let you know that when you are getting the royal guard boots, behind the chest there is a royal sheild! I got it and it helped a lot! But thx for the vid anyway it helped so much!
