When fighting Gleeoks with the Laser tank I just found ride away out of there range. They will fly down and then go back to them and melt them again. Repeat till they die and you never have to get off the build!
nah bro, nah, i kill gleeoks way faster than your machine does using a nomsg mastersword fused with the silver lynel horn blade katana thing and a 5 shot bow using eye balls
"perfect build", remains mostly useless against enemies where it matters. The classic aerial drone still remains superior there. Your tank uses way too many props just to drive. You can make a lot more powerful tank with protection by using a stabilizer instead of the two small wheels.
I mean vs gleeoks having to rebuild it several times to kill it doesn't really make it worth using vs them though. I'd hardly claim this vehicle kills gleeoks effectively if the gleeoks blow up multiple of them before dying. Vs everything else you can do the same w/ the airship if done right but w/ better mobility and you can make an airship still have protection using the elevator pieces for your barrier. it blows up enemy camps, blows up lynels and I suppose if you're willing to rebuild enough of them also beats gleeoks it's just... the air ship is a lot more mobile and uses cannons better than this tank (using cannons caused the tank to blow itself up a lot on reg foes if they got close). this tank also had trouble actually traversing even the smallest bumps which made it a real nuisance to ride around and god forbid you need to go to a lower elevation or a higher one without a nice slope up or cross water that is not just walked over. I used a build w/ 7 fans, a square platform (it was one that looked kinda like the elevator part but it's not that part. it's just one big square piece), a control stick and 2 heads one with lasers one with cannons and it basically does everything this tank does but isn't screwed by terrain and even can land on water and fly again off the water. However to drive it proper you gotta use recall as a means to quickly go down when needed, though in exchange this also allows perpetual flight as you actually can recharge your battery mid flight using this. Optionally if you want protection vs lynel arrows (though w/ actual piloting skill you won't get hit by the arrows) you may replace a laser or cannon with an elevator piece and it will block lynel arrows and due to it flying the lynel CAN'T get near it to do his big dumb roar and blow it up. neither vehicle is really worth using vs gleeoks since gleeoks just destroy them and wasting hundreds zoanite to kill a gleeok really isn't worth it. if you want a gleeok killer just use a bot that fights on its own and just stun him w/ arrows. vs everything else the airship just is better. Also good luck killing a talus or a frox w/ that tank. an airship beats those too.
Well, except for electricity. Which would shock the entire cage and you with it. It would also attract lightning, setting fire to your surroundings and hurting you with it. (Learned that from experience.)
@@chadgrimwell8380 Yeah, but if you're willing to go that far, why not just pop a -proof food every time you go into battle? Why bother with a good wall at all? Like, the cage will stop flames and frost emitters (I think), but why even bother with those? Why not just use a L-shaped metal lattice?
Just plant a giant brightbloom seed on your vehicle - due to the render range of brightblooms, which is like 600+ units, anything it's attached to also inherits the render range. The same goes for dragon parts, which are 2000+ meter render range. Your machines will never despawn due to range again!
You can actually put another construct head on it to create what’s called a pulse laser! It repeatedly shoots the laser instead of a continuous stream which does way more damage and uses less battery!
You can maximize your battery usage and still have great damage output ( better even..?) by attaching another construct head to the existing construct head, then attaching the lasers to the second construct head and not the first one. I don’t know exactly why this works but it sends out laser pulses instead of a steady stream.
I remember making a similar build for combat myself. In my case though, I wanted to go for the absolute most DPS possible, so forgoing any sort of protection i went for a design with the minimum requirements to move (just a steering stick, two wheels and a stabilizer). Added a pole to mount the weapons on and keep them high off the ground, and then from there I reached the build limit by adding a whole 14 lasers along with a single canon for armored foes. Lastly I took advantage of the fact that only the top part of a beam emitter needs to be exposed to fire: that allowed me to stack them in a way that creates a much more focused laser array, ideal for small targets like silver bokoblins
Laser damage isn't based on time exposure to the beams, it's based on initial contact of the beam. You wanna deal more damage with beam emitters? Make them spin. The faster the rpm, the more 'initial contacts' per second, resulting in dramatically higher DPS than just having them act as traditional lasers.
I built something similar, but had a pair of canons on the side along with some headlights. Literally explored a huge chunk of the Depths with it. Uses up a TON of battery tho.
The editing is awesome, im actually so surprised you don’t have 100k+ subscribers I watched this video the whole way through and every second was entertaining
Thanks for this cool design! I had a lot of fun driving around, installed a stabilizer on top though, for driving on mountains. Unfortunately a lynel killed my first car, I came too close
I built this and saw another video suggesting to add one more construct head to it. What it changed was the lasers now pulse fire instead of constant fire. It had the same amount of damage but took less battery. I also only uses six lasers. I didn't add the remaining five you have. I should have haha😂 I've only got four battery units (that's two batteries but the second only has one unit instead of the three) Works great. I'm wanting to try it in the depths next.
Imagine a whole army of these tanks, but autonomously self driving, each with a powerful laser on top and can move quickly across the ground. Now imagine Ganon turning them against the Kingdom of Hyrule! What a plot twist. Sadly such a game will never be created.
I did build a tank that works pretty well (2 cannons on top and 3 beams), but i am using that underground part of with 4 wheels that is raised a bit, so link has a lower ground and it doesnt get hit by a close explosions. It works against lynels as they cant hit you with arrows, but keep the tank away from some range. Full build is: 3x cart (2 for roof, 1 for front protection) 3x Beam emmiter (would be more, but there is build limit) 1x Steering stick 4x Big wheel 2x Sleed (side armor) 1x Spring (on back of the tank to enclose link inside) 2x Cannon (on top on each side with stabilizer under + constuct head so it only fires when it sees the enemy) 1x stabilizer 2x constuct head 1x spike (found underground) 1x raised platform from yiga camps You can also replace the front tank spike and find a long steel beam in vulcanic areas, place it on top costruct head and 2 cannons on each side, allowing you to keep explosion away from you even more. Its also very energy friendly (at least till is fires). Also any normal mob will start looking for you as they cant see you in tank if you run out of energy and you just wait :D ...right now i am working on flying death machine that uses a boat from that island.
