I like this car talk, i can super relate to wanting to lift heavy because it's fun! Good amount of selling your course, not too much of it as it has been before but you still stick to it. You are really molding yourself to a fucking awesome channel IMO! Congrats and good on you! Your channel deserves to grow!
@@DozerWeightlifting Hell yeah, keep it up and keep improving, you have got something! Do your shit and reap the rewards of your harvest, you deserve it!
I agree with your approach to weightlifting. I also weightlift for the immense mental health benefits and emotional stability it provides. In my opinion, if you're not weightlifting as a job, you should train however you want. Do whatever you have to do to make sure one shows up to the gym and lifts, even if it isn't optimal. Your videos are so entertaining and inspiring. Keep it up! I always look forward to your videos because you're real.
Been doing Dogpack for a month and love it so far! I was wondering about max out Friday and wondering if I should be maxing too but I figured I’ll just stick to what you program and trust the process. I like seeing you crush it in Fridays though and always enjoy the uploads!
I started OLY because I enjoy being able to lift heavy weights in this manner. Granted it’s no where near this, but training to get there. Also nearing 40 so shit hurts all the time and makes training consistently hard as well. Another reason why I want to open a weightlifting gym. Hopefully to one day coach but really to just have a place for people to come and weight lift. Proving Ground Weightlifting coming in the next few years.
Your approach is totally understandable. I trained in competitive swimming all my life. Now Im 32 and just want to train twice a week and do sprints and resistance swimming work. Lots of starts and underwater work, because it is fun. I swim no more than 3km a week, when in highschool it was around 80 km a week. But it is fun, I can still be explosive and swim fast. Am I going to get the fastest time possible? No, but I'm still swimming fast, getting faster, and having fun, which is the most important.
I don't know about competitive lifting, but, I learned cleans when I deployed to iraq. I was hazed with cleans, squats, deads, but it was because of me so well deserved, lol. I will say, it kept me happy, during an actually insane time. I think as long as you're having fun, you should do that I'm your training. As, you kept saying "you are lifting for you, you're having fun", etc. I'm 40, and my goal is a 300 clean by 41... 50 pounds away, just an amature but having fun makes the lifts unscary and i can attack the weights with no fear. If I'm not having fun training sucks massively. I served in the marine corps so i watch foe your intensity
What optimal training looks like depends on your goals. Your goal may be lifting for the love of it. If that's not one of the best reasons to lift, I don't know a thing. Keep it up!
Hell yeah. Doing something because you enjoy it is totally legit. Hustle and virtue culture can take a lot of fun out of what you enjoy. It doesn't have to be for everyone or anyone, but yourself. Get it.
So I bought some gorilla mode base. Half a fucking serving is good enough for me at 6 am. It's intense. I tried their protein too and it is goooooooddddd.
A little concerning that this is your avenue for good mental health and you "fine" with it ending out of nowhere because you decided to go heavy. Just something to keep in mind, man.
Skipping a banger song because it wasn't the right moment in training is too relatable lol.
for me the song is "piano wire" by slayer
please keep the putting on the plates in the video always such a perfect sound
dat weightlifting asmr
Dog, keep doing what you're doing. Don't need to explain it to us, we love it.
8 Ibuprofen a day is wild but I respect it. Optimal training isn’t fun. I lift so I don’t spiral into the depths of mental despair.
8 is fkin insane lol
that's some calstrength shit
All the best with mental health
Just doing steroids is probably healthier
R.I.P. that liver but if you never drink then that might balance out.

If it works for you and there's progress and joy, you do you!
That comeback for 140 was awesome

Bruh just do your thing man. Don't listen to anyone, you do you just go forth and do what you enjoy, legally 😂🥳🥳
You "train" for yourself, and what works for you physically, mentally, and emotionally. This in the end is for you and about you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The only reason I lift weights is for the snatch and clean, otherwise I would just do calisthenics
Fight the fight 🙌💯🔥

Do you ever get scared lifting heavy?
Oh ship i didnt realize we were getting drama today. Just keep doing what makes you happy dawg were here for it either way.
There’s no drama man. It’s just me clarifying why I’ll go off program and max out a lot.
@@DozerWeightlifting hell yeah man, i respect the grind. These uploads help me stay consistent so much!

I think he is pushing the bill more than usual to hit 360 after that Id say he may retire from training so hard.
Motherfucker I listen to Dying Fetus during my warm ups. Ya’ll need more heavy music besides Gojira.
The drama is so stupid, don’t worry about anyone else
