  • Times have changed so much from when we used to hang out together. Some of us are gone. But these are good memories.

Now I understand why Robert is connected to the Byrd farm. It's his family, and his connection to a wonderful, and fun time. Makes sense he goes piece by pieces through the house full of family stuff. Never can replace a lost treasure that could be missed. Again Walter, amazing video and answering in pictures to question some of might have.

Thank you, Sandy! Yes, the Farm does mean so much to him. He came along late, but was very much a part of the place, and joined in with Uncle Ken from his, Robert's, early days.

I continue to thank you Walter for taking us all along and sharing your and Roberts life and family. I wish I had such memories. Seeing pics of Robert when he was younger, just makes me smile to see what a man he has become, along with the rest of you. You all have a lot to be proud of, and sure that Little George is just smiling down from God's heaven.

Nice. It looks like memories of good times. I only ever had one aunt and uncle and set of cousins, and they always lived in a far away state. I always envied people who had aunts, uncles and cousins nearby. I see someone had an AMC car. Not too many people even know what they were any more. Thanks,
    Barry

You're welcome! Those were good times, and we were a close family. So once my Dad retired at Ft. Benning and we were settled in one place; then it was easier to have family close. Then years later 'Ken And His Gang' was formed, and our weekends were the best for the next ten years or so.

Walter this was great 👍. I love seeing the old photos of everyone having fun and family time. I'm always going through my mom or grandma's old photos. Ken has a great smile and laugh. That side by side photo of Robert then and now was great too. His love for the Byrd Farm really comes through in his videos. Take care 💛

@@WalterMallardPhotography Ken has really had grief in his life, hasn't he? No wonder you fellas mean so much to him... So his wife died in the late 90s? Did he have to see her suffer from some illness, or was it instant, like little George and my son's wrecks? The shock was hard, but I got the comfort of knowing he didn't suffer, and that helped a lot. I am glad Ken had y'all there for him, because with y'all around,I KNOW he had to feel loved!

@@ghayes6237 Wendy died from a bad interaction of two medications. It was a slow painful death. I think it was the late 90's. Ken has had a lot of grief in his life, since childhood. Mom says that when she first introduced us to her little brother ('where'd you get them?') we soon meant the World to him, once we were of an age to hang out with Ken. I’m not a Dr.Who fan myself but I have sever friends who are and i grew up with my cousin who loved Dr. Who and would have gone nuts over that Tardis! That was awesome!! Is that still hanging around somewhere? Who made it? Is it Brian that is The Dr. Who fan and if so who is his favorite Dr.?

    • @WalterMallardPhotography

We all are Dr. Who fans. Tom Baker (4th Doctor) is our favorite. But Brian is Peter Davison's (5th Doctor) Doctor here, near about. Brian built that TARDIS. It's painted cardboard over a wood frame. It did not last very long. Hilariously someone once asked "why do you have a blue outhouse in your yard?"
