You did a fantastic job. That was relaxing.
Thank you so much! I appreciate it.
Beautiful
Thank you.
It is great that the Old Byrd Farm can again be a place for all the 'Boys' to hang out! Uncle Ken's eyes still have that twinkle of mischievousness Again Thank you for sharing
You're welcome! Ken can still do his laugh!
I love seeing the Old Byrd Farm through your eyes (pictures). You see beauty in everyday things. Makes me stop and look around at my home. Robert has Uncle Ken's eyes and nose it seems. Of course, I've never have seen a picture of Robert's mother but still. Thank you for you videos.
You're welcome! Thank you!
Loved this thanks Walter and i did subscribe
Thank you so much! I appreciate it!
Wonderfully done. I can see Roberts vision in this. Even when I look at it now there is an overlay of what it is going to look like. It always looks good to me. I see you have included the new addition to the Old Byrd Farm. Aaron on his tractor. Keep posting, I'll keep watching.
Thank-you Walter. I'm in!
You're welcome, Alana! Thank you!
Walter sorry to hear about your loss....Thank you for the response enjoying your Pictures and Family always..Be Safe and Well
Thank you so much! I hope to have up another video soon.
This is Linda thanks for all you do and all you are amazing ❤️😇
You're welcome, Linda! Thank you!!!
all beautiful but that 1st black and white one...I love it!
Thank you, Carol! I love that shot too!
Your photography is wonderful, Walter. The picture of your mama with all the greenery by the house front makes me hope some of that will come back as a memorial to her. The porch shot with the cut-out railing and the rain barrel in black & white could be an artist's pencil drawing. It's perfect. I'm glad Robert is keeping a Byrd Farm journal. When the farmhouse and grounds become a show place, that will be a wonderful addition. I enjoyed the mellow music, not at all melancholy to my ears. Thank you!
it is great seeing the difference between when Robert started and now with the new roof!
nice images along the way we pass but once.
Amazing, so sweet yet sad; what was and what is and dreams what it may be yet again some day. There is life again on the old Byrd Farm....
Yes, to all of that!
I loved the video. The contrast between old and new, what was and now is. Lot's of changes for that old house. More challenging than most people would want to attempt but if Robert sticks with it he can preserve the past. I never expect the house to be a jewel of the neighborhood but it would be a testament to the way things used to be. You really capture the reality of each picture.
Thank you so much! Yes, I am looking forward to seeing how Robert progresses with it. He has done such an amazing job as it is!
Love Love Walter♥️♥️
Walter u sure captured Uncle Ken♥️♥️
Thank you, so much!
Very nice, you can see the work that has been done in this video. Walter you you capture the farm beautifully.
Thank you so much, Sandy. It is amazing the changes there.
Most excellent! Loved the still lifes! Hard to believe that delicate and beautiful wisteria bloom is so danged menacing. Music, composure, presentation are exemplary! Thank you! Blessings!
Thank you! I know it! I used to love wisteria! I had no idea!
You take your viewers to another time and it’s captivating!
I am so glad to hear that. Thank you!
Wow, so many changes, both old & new memories. Ageless.
Yes! It is amazing how different the place is now.
Melancholy music, but beautiful, even the wisteria. All wonderful shots capturing the farm, the people, the animals. Is that your mother in one of the older photos? You definitely got me with this one. The Old Byrd Farm always hits home with me. I have never really figured out why, but it always pulls my heart strings. I love it.
Yes, that is Mom. I am glad the Farm does resonate with you.
@@WalterMallardPhotography your Mom ❤❣️
@@SondraD7676 Thank you.
A beautiful montage with lovely music..look how far The Old Bird Farm has come! Salute..
I know it; so amazing!
I so love all the photographs of the Old Byrd Farm. I have been trying to find the very 1st video of Roberts, of BEFORE he was able to buy the place, But can not find it. Such a shame that all the Wisteria took such a hold on the barn and almost the shed and house. There is another Tree that does something like that here. Paul and I bought one yrs ago, and the tag only said that it was a tiger eye tree . Long story short, for about 4 yrs, it was very pretty, and then one day while mowing the front lawn, I noticed small shoots of the same tree, starting to sprout all over the lawn, and so I did a bit more research, and found out the dang things sprouts off MORE trees from it's own roots!~ YIKES!! Talked it over with husband, Paul and we not only cut the tree down but also dug out the roots as well, took us a week, and two yrs ago, I found a little shoot starting to come up, but after I pulled that, none since then. Never again!
Wow! It's like a monster movie!!! I'm sorry that it turned out that way. I'll look and see if I can find that video myself. Usually if you go to an account and then click Videos on that account it lists them from most recent to earliest. I'll try it myself.
What a pleasant, relaxing video to view, thank-you!
You're welcome! Thank you!
Another great video Walter. I bet Uncle Ken is very proud of Robert. He is doing a wonderful job preserving the Old Byrd Farm. I'm sure you are proud of him too.
I surely am proud of Robert! Ken is so happy about him taking care of the place.
Hi Walter enjoying your pictures...
If I may who is the women in the dark skirt and light colored blouse ??
She is my Mom, Robert's Grandmother. We lost her September 14, 2022.
Such a treasure! It has come along way in these pictures. Thank you for sharing with us!❤️
You're welcome! It surely has!
The photo of the lady talking to the squad car cops... Was there a byrd house story I missed?
Ha! Ha! Ha! That is Jennifer Slayton. She was our next door neighbor up the street. She is Johvan Slayton's sister. They both appear in several videos. Jennifer was my model. I was doing a shoot with her at night, where she was standing with a spotlight behind her. Fred, the Waverly Hall Police Officer drove up and said "my spotlight is brighter than yours!" So I used his spotlight and him in a model shot of Jennifer.
So much work has been done. Wonderful vlog. Good choice of music. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you and you're welcome!.
Is Robert’s grandmother your mother? And did you and Brian grow up there on the Old Byrd Farm? And was it always called that?? Thank you for sharing such beautiful pics!
Robert's Grandmother was my Mother, on this Earth, until 9 months ago yesterday (Yest. 06-14-2022). We were an Army family and loved all over, but moved there in the 70's. Over the years and with a divorce, kids moving away, and Mom living there by herself, it became unmanageable, and she came to live with Brian and me. The Byrd's built the house in the 1800's.
@@WalterMallardPhotography thank you for taking the time to respond to my questions 🥰
What a familia tribute to your mother, Robert’s grandmother, to save the old farm! My there must be sooo many memories living there! As obviously shown in your pictures.
Understandable what happened. Through a divorce I raised 4 kids solo and as I age, it’s getting harder for me to maintain.
Love seeing pics of everyone in their younger years! Keep ‘em coming!! They’re beautiful! Xo
@@kellycal124 Thank you so much! I feel for you.
@@WalterMallardPhotography 🥰
Can we ever get a drone fly over?
I don't know. I'll ask Robert.
No pressure, but I have come to look for your work everyday☺️. I love the music married with the photos; perfection. God has blessed you and Robert with an eye for beauty in the purity of nature and reverence for what is important to capture through a lens.
I have subscribed and look forward to more of your work. Thank you for doing this for all of us to enjoy. Peace be with you.
Thank you so much, Juliette! That is so sweet of you. I do enjoy putting these together. And you're welcome!
Another amazing intimate look into the old bird farm from different perspectives! More memories to add to the history of the farm. Again thank you!
You're welcome! Thank you so much!
Soooooo! glad you are presenting these.
I appreciate that!
I love seeing the old and new in contrast. So beautifully framed. Thank you for sharing these Walter.
You're welcome! I am always happy to find what I've shot and forgotten about.
Very nice Walter. Thank you for sharing. 💖
Thank you, so much! And thank you!
How long did Uncle Ken & his mother live there?
Ken and his wife, Wendy, lived there for just a couple of months in the 1970's. His Mom; Grandmama, and her mother; Grandmother, lived there for a short time in the early 1970's before moving back to Sumter County. Then Grandmama came to live there again for a couple of years in the late 1970's, and then she died there in 1980. A very sad time.
Great history of the old Byrd farm to date in pictures ! :)
Thank you!
I’d say roberts family has owned this farm for over 50 years and his great granny lived in it at one time. If I were a metal worker and I’m not, I would restore her bed for him to tilts original state and he could use it for his family. What a keep sake
Robert does plan to restore that bed frame. It was his Great-Great-Great Grandmothers.
I really enjoy your black & white photography📸 It may be the devil in disguise, but wisteria can really be pretty😈 My how Uncle Ken has aged....Please continue to share your fantastic talent, and tell the story of The Old Byrd Farm🐾🦊🐺
Ha! Ha! I know! Don't tell Robert, but I love wisteria! It is beautiful and smells heavenly! Yes, Ken has aged a lot. Hard to believe we used to ride the school bus together.
This is Linda once again you have done it thank you so much
I appreciate that! Thank you!
Stunning work Walter! I love how your photos tell a story and it reminds me of my childhood in Ohio.
Wow! Thank you, Debbie!
Is the lady at the beginning your grandmother? And is the chubby fellow Charles Wakeley Jr.? Was he Uncle Ken's son? Uncle Ken seems like a kind gentle soul... he AND these pictures take me back about 60 years when I got to be one of the boys when we were at Granny's...even if I WAS a little girl ! Warms my old heart ! Subscribed!
The lady at the beginning vis my Mother. We lost her 9 months ago yesterday (Yest. 06-14-2022). The heavy set fellow helping Ken with the car is Ken's son, Little George (George Kenley Green Jr.)
@@WalterMallardPhotography so...was your mother Robert's grandmother? I seem to recall her passing away during that time. I am truly sorry for your loss. I lost mine when I was 18.
@@ghayes6237 Yes. Robert is Brian's and my nephew; our Mom's grandson. We lost Mom September 14, 2022. We miss her dearly.
@@WalterMallardPhotography Well she raised two fine, respectful sons. You do her proud !
