Dinglewood's is a fantastic gem of a place. Scrambled Dogs, old school diner with counter seating inside the pharmacy. Great meeting with Glen. Thanks for taking us back to that nostalgic place. ❤ Brings back lots of warm memories of diners from the past. 😊
Interesting hearing more about how you do the photo slideshows. Love Dinglewood! Right after covid when the Columbus museum opened back up I took my girls and they had a contemporary photo exhibit with a photo that inspired me to make a recreation. I ended up photographing my daughters standing in front of my dad's 1997 Lincoln Towncar which was parked in front of my parents last home. I had my girls wearing T-shirts from Piggly Wiggly and holding the styrofoam Dinglewood Pharmacy cups leftover from our lunch that afternoon. It ended up being one of my favorite photos I've ever take because it has a lot of sentimentality to me and I love the Columbus, GA references. Anyway, enjoyed the chat. Glen and I have exchanged messages a couple times and talked about meeting in the future. Y'all seem very nice!
UA-cam has been my outlet for doing SOMETHING with my photographs. I am so thankful to be able to show them in some capacity. I love Dinglewood, and have been going on and off for years. Every once in a while you realize there is a food you have not had in a while and this time around it is onion rings. If I ever make it to Georgia I will have to add the Scrambled Dog to my first list. My first time list rarely gets updated as I am a creature of habit and trying new foods happens rarely. A Scrambled Dog would be new in form but not weird.
Yes! And it would be so good! My favorite onion rings are from Dairy Queen, and - I suddenly can't remember the second place. I used to love SONIC'S Onion Rings.
Yes. It is pretty simple, and delicious really. It is a hotdog in a bun, that has been chopped up into bitesize sections, in a hotdog dish. Then chili is poured over it. Then sprinkled with oyster crackers. After that, are options for shredded cheese, pickles, and onions. I prefer mine simple; oyster crackers, ketchup, and mustard. I have made them at home, just recently, and they are just not delicious like they are at Dinglewood Pharmacy.
Stacey, Brian, and I lived at the same apartment complex. And it was Stacey's and Brian's KIA's that were broken into. I was driving Brian's KIA when I met up with Glen.
