This is just sublime. Incredible jazz samba beat with so many subtleties.
Maybe a Salsa-Samba. Ritmically more Salsa and Harmonically more Bossa Nova-Samba that came from Jazz.The middle section is a brazilian carnaval because the percusionist is Armando Maçal, a brasilian guy
Esta es la mejor versión que he escuchado, mucho mejor que la aparece en el album Travel ( la batería electrónica no está bien lograda, para mi gusto), el solo de Lyle siempre excelente pero Armando , Pedro y Paul están soberbios y Pat al final no quiere quedarse sin el carnaval, que maravillosa creación de nuestro querido Lyle.

I was very naive. I saw PMG many times during and after this era, and was a little disappointed that the solos weren’t to the recording. I was young and dumb, these guys were players. Pat and Lyle didn’t hire slouches.
I tended to prefer the original solos, because they'd cut such a deep groove in my brain. Heard live, the fun was to anticipate the solos and be fooled and surprised.
