I actually used the term before I realised Transphobes used it, it makes no sense when they use it anyway.
Its actually why I as a non-binary like to use it, because damn I'm confused about where I fall on the gender spectrum, my gender is a mess, it is also called questioning but I've given up and have accepted the mess.
So I'm still using the term.

The Catholic Churches in my area (I live in Lincoln, Nebraska) are fighting against adding sexuality and gender identity as protected statuses in employment, housing, healthcare, etc.

Misgendering itself isn't a form of violence as they claim, it's a form of microagression (when it's purposefully used) and it can gravitate to more violent situations.

All definitions agree that violence is: action intended to cause harm or damage to someone/something. Purposefully referring to someone in a manner they don't like is meant to hurt them. It is violence.

@@seankelly4174 IDK about that. There's quite a big line to cross between being rude to trans people and straight up physically hurting them. I know a few transphobes IRL (I keep them around because they're my family and I want them to learn and grow, and plus they're only mildly transphobic) and none of them would actually wish physical harm on a trans person even if they are super rude and disrespectful to them. Surprise, not all transphobes want to actually kill trans people. In fact, most of them are just ignorant and/or misinformed, and just need to be taught the truth and have their hearts open to it.

God says love thy neighbor, and being transphobic is certainly not loving. He created you just the way you are, whether that be cishet, trans, or queer. He loves you unconditionally. As a (retired) Christian myself, it baffles me how some other Christians hate on those they see as not fitting in to society. There are multiple teachings in the jesus book that literally say to love everyone, including those viewed as “outcasts”. Jesus himself was an outcast and persecuted by society for the longest time lmao. What happened to “love thy neighbor” yall?? Or all the positivity and acceptance that jesus actually did preach. A note for my trans peeps: Dysphoria isn't just the a lack of something. It can also be the feeling that something shouldn't be there, and while they may seem like the same thing, they're vastly different. You are valid and nobody can tell you what your dysphoria means to you.

The dog and cat one is so dumb, animals don't have the same level of consciousness that we do. They don't think about their bodies and the way they look like we do. They can't feel a burning level of uncomfortable in their body the way we do.
