If any of these so-called “alpha males” ever had to raise a kid on their own, they would give up in frustration after the first day. The level of strength it takes to raise a kid is astounding to me, that’s why I seriously doubt I will have kids. I know I’m not ready at this stage of my life, and I am not sure if I will ever be ready for one huge reason, my own mental health. I was raised by a mom and a dad who never went to therapy and never took care of their mental health issues, and so it worked it’s way into their parenting. I’d never want to give someone else the childhood I had, so I’m very hesitant to even consider having kids of my own.

@@phataldestroyer Definitely true. I have the same annoyance with crying infants/toddlers, it grates on my ears and I get exhausted just hearing it. I know that they’re young and do that to get attention, but that doesn’t get rid of the annoyance. If I ever did think I was prepared for a kid, I could not have an infant, and likely not a younger toddler either, I’d probably have to have them at least 7-8 years old. I can’t get pregnant by mistake, so luckily I will never have to worry about that concern, if I ever want kids and can handle them, I’ll be adopting. I can’t have my own kids and god knows more people need to adopt.

The whole "women are caretakers thing" getting him flamed gives me joy. I never wanted kids anyways and even if I did I can't have kids because I had ovarian cysts and needed surgery to remove one ovary. When I had the surgery I thought "oh good now people will shut up about me not wanting to be a mom!" but instead now they just act like I'm broken.

We have enough population and there’s so much more we can do as people than provide children to an already growing tide of humans we already have. We can do so much more or nothing at all, it’s truly our choice, the era of needing to keep up the population is and has been over for decades. I’m not sure why this mentality still stands.

That's why the real alphas in the human world are the mothers. Moms always have a hug, some drink and a snack on them and take care of you, when you are injured or sick.
