I can live with people not knowing all of them, to be fair. But not knowing what the basic term "personal pronouns" means, that's just sad...

When I was a kid, I ‘used my imagination’ to pretend I was a dragon, because I had decided dragons “didn’t need to be a he or she”, and I related to that… if I had been taught about pronouns and gender identity when I was in second grade, I’d probably be less anxious and a lot more comfortable with myself today. As a trans individual, I've struggled with the whole "I'm not female but I love feminine things" for years due to being told I'd never be seen as trans if I chose to wear "feminine" clothes and or makeup. My own brother pushed that down my throat when I tried coming out at like 15 or 16. It took me 23 years to figure out who I am. 7 or 8 years of that being me questioning and or shoving my own truth down because I was afraid no one would accept me. To this day, I still question myself but I remind myself that this is who I am.

The questioning wasn't on weather I was a girl or not, it was on weather I was male or non-binary, if not both. I like using he/they pronouns and feel like myself when people use them when talking to me.
Same tbh, i know 100% i'm not female, but my issue is wheter i'm male or masc nb, i don't relate 100% to the macho culture men have where i live and it's weird to call myself a man seriously (i'm ok with male tho). I know i preffer he/him pronouns so there's that, there's a big chance i'm autistic and that has a role on my gender wackiness so i just accepted it.
I've had so many famly members go back on their support and talk shit and deadname me on my back, their justification is that i act too female and like men (female as in, i like sewing, doing my nails and dolls). At this point i just tell them to fuck themselves and get a life
You should be able to wear whatever you want without worry or judgement, it's those stupid labels like "fem" and "masc" on clothing and other things that is the problem. It's ruining our comfort and creativity to dress how we want when everything is ALWAYS associated with gender...

I wouldn't date a trans woman because I'm a happily married lesbian who's wife is expecting our first baby in November made possible by a sperm donor. But if my situation was different and I was single then I would date a trans woman.

I had my top surgery while my husband was deployed. He recently was able to visit for a week and I was 2 months post-op. His first words: "You look like you."
I almost cried in the airport. Held it in because I didn't want to freak out our kids. I'm so lucky to have the most loving and supportive partner ever.

Honestly, I feel like LGBT+ tiktok and other social medias tend to sensationalize the LGBT+ community.
Don't get me wrong, pride is important, and I understand the feeling of finally being able to express a part of yourself that you've had to keep hidden out of fear for most of your life. The first year after I met friends with whom I could safely express my queer identity I knitted so many pride flags, it was great.
I just wish that LGBT+ was seen as, well, human, not something you celebrate for a month. We're people not seasonal trends like pumpkin spice. I love the queer memes and cool flags but why can't we be around all year? ):

The fact that there are so many christians/followers of Christ who are LGBTQ+ members- at what point do you just give up and realize that God is not a reflection of your personal prejudices.. For extremist and Rightist Christians, there are a HECK of a lot of things that count as sins if they take the bible super literally. Like wearing Tattoos, eating shellfish, judging, showing too much skin, wearing braids, shaving beards, being a glutton-specially on alcohol, and all that stuff. LIKE DOWN TO THE WORD.
The fact that they know some of these are the things they endulge in, they decide to seek another sin that they're not committing and treating it as a greater sin to make them feel better about themselves. Specially the one's who cherry pick what they want from the Bible.
As a Practicing progressive Christian, I just accepted what Saint Aquinas referred to. That humans will never be able to understand the true nature of God and the Bible that's full of heavy metaphor and allegory and just know that God loves everyone and Jesus made sure of that.

the only thing I didn't like about Hello Fresh was the wastefulness of the packaging. The preportioning is great, and really helpful, but they use a LOT of plastic packaging, and it would be nice if they found a way to do less plastic.

I'm a mom of boys. I regularly give them make overs, we have spa nights, I'll do their nails, and my youngest went to school with an acrylic coat on his natural nails and was so proud of them, showing them to everyone 🥰 let kids explore the world and do what brings them joy, it doesn't hurt anyone
I wasn’t ever allowed to get short haircuts except for going to my shoulders. And not to long after I came out as trans ftm, my dad brought me to get a haircut that I wanted. He told me he’s never seen me so happy before when I was sitting in the chair getting my haircut. He’s told me a lot of times that he’s proud of me for how far I’ve come in life. I love my dad sm. I’ve always been close to my dad since I was young. I remember what he said when I came out to him as trans. He told me he doesn’t care what me and my sisters gender or sexuality is, that he’ll still love us unconditionally.

As someone who's mother tongue isn't englisch, I found that one reaction to learning pronouns so funny on multiple levels ... like while learning englisch pronouns are so completely basic knowledge. Not to mention that I learned englisch pronouns roughly at the same time in school as the german ones and that was in first grade!

Exactly!! I still remember certain phrases so we could remember them better, for example: he, she, it das "s" muss mit (he, she, it, the "s" has to stay) referring to verbs with these three pronouns which end on an "s". I can even envision the page in my folder from years ago, simply because learning pronouns in englisch was something so basic that we repeated it pretty much every week from grade one to five. And then these people come along and .... I just can't at this point, this is so ridiculous🤣

Ok, so I took a summer writing class last week and the majority of the class was part of the LGBTQ+ or an ally, but there was one EXTREMELY transphobic/homophobic girl.
This person asked for everybody’s pronouns and we all replied normally- but this girl decides to say “I don’t have pronouns. That’s stupid and gay.”🤨
Then, we had a break and the teacher gave us chalk, so me and three other peoples covered the entire parking lot with pride flags, feminist/LGBTQ+/trans rights/BLM stuff just to piss her off.

companies treat pride like a holiday, they whip out the pride merchandise when they know the most sales will occur instead of showing their support all year round. companies supporting us for a month once a year is nice, but i'd rather buy pride merchandise from a company who openly supports us all year round.

when i was a little kid at my daycare there was this 3-year-old boy that loved playing with dolls, but the daycare lady had to hide that he played with them from his parents cuz they thought it meant he was gay. every time she took away his dolls he was so sad and it broke my heart even as a child. people need to stop pushing their gendered norms onto children. people don’t want children to be “taught about pronouns” cuz it’s apparently too mature a topic for them, but those same people will push their children to act certain ways to not appear gay or trans. it’s harmful, cruel and incredibly unnecessary. as those uneducated parents say about talking about pronouns with children, we need to let kids be kids to foster a positive and caring generation, which is what every parent should want.

I came out to my mom as trans (ftm) about a year ago. Ever since then she purposely annunciates she/her pronouns and my deadname (Chloe lol). BUTTT it makes no sense because a friend of mine is mtf and my mom respects her pronouns and preferred name.
