Fun Fact: over 90% of people who comment on here know all the lyrics to this dope track.
Fun Fact: 90% of the people who comment on here think Everlast only has 3 songs...
Yes indeed!
@@redrollins8346 I wonder what it’s like to be that person
@@uncledarthy3783 I see what you did there. Nicely done, sir.
"Cause I got lyrics, and you ain't got none, If you come to battle bring a shotgun" dubba dubba dubba
This song is in every DJs library. It's the law. This song will make a corpse jump.
H.O.P. house of pain...hop around...
You said make a corpse jump🤘
No it will not. 🤦♀️
Yes Sir!👍👌
Facts 💯
This song is 30 years old, and to this day when it comes on everybody immediately starts jammin.
Immediately!!
You can never have too many bagpipes in a rap. 😂
Truth
@@jeanineperrine4335 no doubt, right?!? I DEFINITELY brings a different and interesting vibe to the whole deal!
The Roots - Do You Want More
I agree! Note: Technically it's mid-90's "trip-hop", but for even MORE bagpipes, see DREAM, by Forest for the Trees. lol ua-cam.com/video/pHVMdGL0kno/v-deo.html

I used to work in a club, & if this EVER started playing, nearly all drinks stopped being served by us as EVERYONE in the club (including all the staff) would just start jumping around & singing along. We never got a single complaint about it because as I said, EVERYONE started dancing. I've never seen a song stop Brits drinking like this does!!!
ในเมืองไทยก็เหมือนกันครับ เรายังชอบอยู่ ทั้งที่ กรุงเทพ สมุย ภูเก็ต และในคลับหลายที่ ในเมืองไทย😊
The best reaction I have ever seen before.
@@tommyp.naknakorn8298 Route 66......
Love me my Cult of Personality
Don't feel stupid bro. Everybody knows this song. They just don't know they know it. 💚
That's the truth. Ever seen Mrs. Doubtfire? That's where I knew this from
Facts!
Absolutely. Who knows how many commercials and tv shows have used it?
Lol
Your facial expression when the beat dropped was priceless!!!
I knew you knew it and just waited to see your face but you thought Everlast with that thick accent was black; that's priceless!
I love how many people are like "never heard this in my life!" And the the realization sets in LOL
The music video for "Jump Around" was filmed during the 1992 New York City Saint Patrick's Day parade. Portions were shot on the parade route as well as in Central Park and Old Town Bar and Restaurant. This song reached No. 3 in the United States, No. 6 in Ireland and No. 8 in the United Kingdom.
Still jumping albeit slower on middle aged kneecaps
Thanks Wikipedia
Won a Grammy in 1992 for best Rap performance by a group or duo! ☘️
Well deserved 🔥
Irish have ALWAYS known how to jump around!
I LOVE that he wears Larry LEGEND’s jersey!
Wisconsin Badgers' official song. We built our college stadium to specifically accommodate everyone jumping around for this song. It measures on the Richter Scale, every home game.
I’m Irish on my mother’s side. My life, the Irish know how to have fun. Even having a cup of tea is fun! Very proud of my Irish roots 🇮🇪☘️❤
Nothing Irish about House of Pain. Not even Boston Irish.
The late 70' 80's and 90's best era of Hip Hop the true golden age of Hip Hop. I'm glad this generation and hearing how true rap music was meant to be song. Everyone had they own unique sound
Just say 90s bro
This is definitely the best reaction I've seen for days. You genuinely sounded shocked after the intro as you didn't realize you were familiar with the song, but didn't know it was these guys. Thank you so much lol
This song is full of energy. Today we don’t see nothing like this. Time to have something like that
I feel ye !!!!🤟🤘👆👍
The whole CD was full of bangers! I'm 50 and still know every word of this song. 😁 The lead guy is called Everlast. He went on to do a popular rock album. You should check out "What It's Like" by Everlast. Really good song .
Definitely react to Everlast song "what it's like" great song, very deep song.
He still makes 🔥🔥🔥 music. Nobody knows cuz he pissed off Eminem.
I love Jump Around and its success has earned it spot in music lore but I wish people would go deeper on that debut cd/tape. So many hidden gems. The "Irish style" them really made them stand out but they could come with the beats and rhymes.
I’m also 50 and remember seeing them live at the Brixton Academy in London back in the early mid 90’s. Great live. Good to see the likes of these and Beastie Boys getting the respect they deserve again 🤘🤘🤘
All their Cd's had nothing but bangers. If u ask me House of Pain never did a whack joint. Even their unreleased tape is straight fire.
So happy to see someone else get hyped when they hear this CLASSIC!
Everlast - "What it's like"... same guy, different sound, still kicks ass!
Awesome suggestion
“I got more rhymes than a bibles got psalms” that’s a good bar
JoeDee Cee I thought it was, “I got more rhymes, than a bottles got songs.”
@@johnnybraccia452 I always thought so too
“And just like the prodigal son I return.” Is the next verse so it fits. I used to think it was bibles got songs....but that doesn’t really make sense either lol
@@wholehogfan Mmm yeah now that you mention it, it does fit better with 'prodigal son' if the line before that is 'bibles got psalms' but I dunno man, when I listen to the verse I'd swear he says 'bottles got songs' lol
My favorite is, "I'll serve your ass like John MacEnroe and if your girl steps up I'm smackin' the ho."
Genius.
One of the most iconic rap tunes of all time. Everlast can drop bombs and Lethal always had dope beats.
"Trying to play me out like as if my name was Sega"
Dude, if you know your videogame history when this song came out,
then you'll know that this line was a massive burn about the company.
Love when everyone goes down the 80’s-90’s music rabbit hole. Miss this type of music. Also your reaction is awesome!
One of the best experiences I’ve had was being in a bar in Boston at around 1:00 am and then you hear those bagpipes; we were JUMPING!!
You will hear this song at just about any sports event or game. Hell, it’s been used in Super Bowl commercials.
This is REAL hip hop right here!
This is the first record I ever bought. I miss being a kid in the 90’s so much.
Same smh
Me too 😢
Dude, all these videos, I’m just reliving my youth! Thanks!
The attitude - when they walk in to the bar. You feel the vibe. I never smoked cigatretes but I am grateful that I had the opportunity to hang out in smoke filled bars.
30 years later it's still banging, you young dudes missed it hip hop was alive and well
Love your reaction! We all jumped on the dance floor when this song played!
BARS!!! I was 22 and the song came out, and of course living my best life going to house parties going to the clubs and whenever this song came on, it was such an amazing thing to be part of a big crowd and some people you didn’t even know just jumping around and singing together back in the day. Shit was different than it is now. People just party together. Everybody got along. I mean it was so different. I miss those times.
A good follow-up to this one is Onyx - “Slam”. Another good hype song.
And, if you are feeling froggy do the Onyx and Biohazard version..... Those guys sounded good together on multiple tracks.
damn I forgot about Onyx .....blast from the past
WORD!
The track is so contagious a hip hop classic, like your reaction so positive.
This beat was given to them by cypress Hill. After the song blew up B real said giving up that beat was their biggest mistake. But then said he was happy that house of pain blew up from it because their so tight he couldn't have been more happier for them because they fam. Everlast even said it was cypress Hill that opened the door for them to be recognized in hip hop. Now house of pain reinvented themselves and renamed themselves La Coka Nostra. And they're fire. Listen to Slaine from La Coka Nostra 99 bottles on the wall. It was a tribute to jump around but totally different but the same energy.
Swaggy, you're the authentic article. A true fan. Great stuff, son.
This is the most sampled and imitated background in all of hip-hop!! 1992/1993.
For 24 years they've had the tradition at the University of Wisconsin football games where they play this song between the between the 3rd and 4th quarters. Search UA-cam for it, its nuts seeing thousands "jump around" together. Opposing team even can't help but to jump around. Best tradition in college football.
The best. It makes me so happy when I watch that!
That is what is commonly known as a 'banger!'
Saw these guys in 1994 with cypress hill, funk doobiest and stone temple pilots. Was amazing 4 hours or so. Never forget it.
once you've heard it, you'll want to hear it again and again.30 years later👌😘
This takes me back to middle school dances in the mid 90's lol
Indeed
Your reaction made me SO HAPPY! And relaxed- thank you
Muggs from Cypress Hill made this beat
Rrrrreally. Wow. I always thought it had a Hill vibe to it. Sort of like 'Aint goin' out like that...' Well that explains it. ✌😀👍
@@rjohnson993 b-real got the beat first and couldn't do anything with it they couldn't write to it so they gave it to Everlast and he came up with Jump Around
Now I'M learning sh*t!
Ice Cube turned down the song because of the first original beats of this. Didn't sound like this preproduction.
Actually son dooibe got the beat first an sat on it so B real took it lol but we all right
They sampled the sax wail riff from "Shoot Your Shot" by Jr. Walker And The All-Stars, 1967...
*THE OG's OG*
Give a listen 'cuz that's what I grew up on. The best... ❤
I remember hearing this song on the radio as a kid, and if you don't remember this song Mrs. Doubtfire film should ring a bell.
Ive loved this song since it was released. Ive just watched 5,6 maybe 7 reactions to it back to back. I loved your reaction best! My face is aching from grinning the whole way through at your obvious appreciation of it. First time ive seen your channel. I'll check out more definitely.
Hello helloooo, I'm from Austria or I also listened to Haus of Pain in the 90's and since yesterday I remembered it again and I'm so happy!! And happy that you feel it just like I do....!! Thank you
This song in the nineties taught me how I have intrepid RAP !!! And I am 72 years old !!!! LOVE it !!!! Kudos to you
Thanks !!!!
Beat was made by DJ Muggs then offered to several groups, until House of Pain picked it up. Cypress Hill just ran it here in Auckland concert 1/4/23
I'm loving the fact that you're getting into it so much. This song just kicks it on so many levels; and whenever it's playing, people just smile and *JUMP AROUND!!!*
Gotta love it! 🍺😋👍
It's cool that these classics are loved by folks to this day. So many artists have come and gone over years....yet songs like this endure AND are recognized.
Oh ya Jump Around is one of theee best.. OG. This song was everywhere.. every club was playing this.. tops. Thing is STILL played partys n clubs all the time.
Another similarly Irish-themed but very different song you might enjoy is Shipping Up To Boston by Dropkick Murphys.
He really nailed this reaction he really enjoyed the song!
One of the best song ever “HOUSE OF PAIN”. For life
Play this at any event & watch what happens!!! TIMELESS BANGER!!! 🔥🔥🔥
This song should be constantly played and as loud as ever, when this pandemic is over !!!!!!!!
I love watching these reation videos this is my era , fun fact cypresshill made the beat for this , back in the day hiphop was banging ever tune that came out was killer ,
Danny Boy was my favorite. Everlast went to solo stardom & DJ Lethal went on to even bigger success with Limp Bizkit..but always wished Danny Boy could've hit that same success solo cause he had such a smooth flow and bars as well for days
“Man, getta f out…” that was the funniest part, bro. Your reaction throughout the song was a good match too.
If this don't get your party started....it's a dud.
Facts
So true 👍
If an Irish kid was born after 93 ? They grew up on this song. I was in the Marines when this album came out. We played the wheels off it.
The melody can sometimes still be heard at sporting events in stadiums. Basketball, ice hockey, etc.
This song is so iconic that I can't even listen to Harlem Shuffle - where the sample came from - without it feeling wrong.
There is a video of them doing this live somewhere in Europe in like 2016. Crowd went nuts, like 75,000 fools jumping around. 😂
Such a great song, great lyrics !
React on Rob Base & DJ E-Z Rock - It Takes Two 💯🔥
And Joy & Pain
OHHHHH THAT'S A CLASSIC! 🤩👌
47 years Old and This still Jumping Around
I just finished my sophomore year of high school when this came out. This joint was EVERYWHERE that summer. I remember when we had to come back 2 weeks before school started in my Junior year for marching band practice, we'd hang out afterwards, while this kid blasted it over his system. He had his car seriously jacked with like subwoofers that shook the fucking ground with the bass.
Good stuff. 73, but I still jump around (as much as I'm able) when I hear this song. Robert, UK.
O ya never gets old
Love your reaction
Surprise there white with a huge Boston connection,, 🥰
I’m so happy to see so much enthusiasm jumping 😅🤣😅😂
This is my Senior Class Song, and that was in 2004, in Texas.
I am of Irish descent tho.
Best reaction bruv. Love ya.
We were there when it came out.
Proper tune. 😘👍
This is probably the best reaction of all time
When im having a hard day i watch this and all my stress goes away
I'm from Wisconsin at every Wisconsin badger football game they play this song and the place goes crazy. U feel like the stadium is coming down.
Lol Im in London and remember when this song came on it was wild. Happy times.
Back in the day this was always bumping on MTV!!!
Best reaction video I've seen of any tune ..quality..genuine as genuine can be 👏..grown up with this tune ..never gets old 🎶🎶
Man your reaction when you heard the intro you were lit. One of the greatest bangers of all time
I salute you as an Irish Turkish. Salute you all.
I had their cassette back in the day!! Damn I feel old!
My brother. Love you. Watching you realise the song was amazing!
One of the most lit songs when i grew up it was everywhere and people went crazy
They play this at a lot of college football games (particularly Wisconsin) and the whole crowd goes nuts.
🤣🤣 The Swaggy walk off, the best! This was so fun man.

The horns at the start of 'Jump Around' and 'Calm Down'were sampled from 'Harlem Shuffle' by Bob and Earl
Yep, i am 62 and danced to this plenty in da club in my partyin days!!! Lol
You are so adorable in this reaction! You lost your shit and giggled a few times!! I was in 9th grade! Still one of the best songs!!
I recently started watching reaction videos and this one is 3 years old but it's the best reaction to House Of Pain i have come across and it's in my favourites list now 😂
Still love this and video is great. They’re American Irish based around St Patrick’s day. ☘☘ Even now I Jump Around xx Dublin, Ireland 💕😘
A couple of things: 1. Take the first letters of "House of Pain", and the result it "Hop", as in Hip Hop. And House of Pain refers to the movie The Island of Dr. Moreau. The Dr. would send his victims to a place where they conducted medical experiments, and they called it "The House of Pain".
And the movie is based on the H.G Wells novel.
Love your energy reactions i grew up with this song since the 90's
Thank you for making me smile this afternoon.✌️
I actually had fun watching you dude. Props!!!
My first time seeing one of your videos. Hands down the best reaction I've seen. I loved it! 💖
House of Pain reppin 818 and the Valley baby!!
Haha I love your reaction 2 seconds in. Your eyes go to the side. Awesome reaction
I always think of Mrs.Doubtfire 🤣
