      He wrote all the raps throughout the whole movie except one. Parking lot rap battle. he was supposed to write a rap for it, but he was so busy he didn't get a chance to. It's when it's time to shoot the scene, he told them that he's just going to do something off the top of his head. So that one is an actual legit freestyle

      FRR not only did Wink have to trick the girl to even get alone with her, and we all know she was doing it to get that “ticket” out of the city she had previously talked about. So that’s still really Eminem’s hoe anyway, But he also got the shit beat out of him. • @colonelb
    @colonelb 2 роки тому +52

    (Yes I'm extracting actual life lessons out of this fictitious rap battle scene from a movie)
    There are two really useful things to pick up on in what Rabbit (Eminem) does here:
    First, he is honest about his past and talks about it openly - this is especially important for anyone trying to have a public presence, or be a celebrity, or a politician. If you think about how many scandals happen where someone tries to blackmail someone or calls them out for something private, all of that is avoided if you beat everyone to the punch and share your past on your own. It's also a good idea to try and live in a way such that you'd not be embarrassed if the world saw you do something.
    Second about communication in general: If you are talking with folks especially if you are laying out some sort of plan or suggestion or giving a presentation - it's helpful to try and think about what the likely concerns, objections, and counterarguments are going to be and address them in your talking points in advance - this reduces the likelihood of someone interrupting you and also shows that you've thought through your idea which will help convince some folks that may be on the fence about it. As a good rule of thumb you want at least 3 reasons why you think something is a good idea because most people don't think through things that deeply so if you have at least 3 reasons you'll probably have enough to win over most folks.
    This is ESPECIALLY good to get in the habit in with any sort of job or career - the people that are good at presentations, speaking, and writing - are the people who get promoted more easily or asked to be leaders. VERY important to know that the most important general skill to learn and improve on is to be more articulate - that is useful no matter what job you have or get.
    Cheers.

And the fact it came not from some world renowned director is even crazier. I always recommended to see this movie even to those who has zero knowledge or interest in rap, because it's just a cool film. Also, Em wrote all of the lyrics in this movie. He based them off of what was actually said (I believe), no one disses Em as hard as he disses himself (Bad Guy is a great example). Oh! Except for the last one, Em actually did some research so Clarence is getting roasted for real (I also believe Anthony was surprised when Em started listing off personal lore.)

      I disagree, he should've first watch the whole movie before reacting to the final battle. There are too many punchlines linked to things which happened in the movie. Also, if he watched the movie, he wouldn't feel sorry for papa doc for being obliterated in the final battle.

    • @theunsweetkarmaway
      @theunsweetkarmaway 3 місяці тому +1

      @@aphr0e156 I won’t argue with that. And the dramatic narrative of the film sets up the feelgood ending. Kind of like how in the original Rocky, you need to understand his struggles to appreciate the significance of the final bout.

    I’ve never understood the whole “yeah they call me rabbit, this is a turtle race” it’s obviously a reference to the tortoise and the hare. But in that story the tortoise wins

    • @Preservestlandry
      @Preservestlandry 2 роки тому +5

      But the hare could have easily one but was just lazy, that's how I took it. This rabbit in this movie is not going to lay down and nap, so he can easily win.

    Little known fact….. Em rewrote his last battle rap there. Papa Doc’s final rap was originally better than Em’s. So when it came time to do the actual final recording after rehearsals, Em spit this out. Nobody knew till the recording started. Papa Doc was actually a battle rapper before he turned to acting as well. Sadly, he passed not long ago.🔥🔥🔥
