@Craig O'malley He can't help it. The mass media have everyone, and especially black Americans, 'narrowly pigeonholed' and mentally enslaved to their media-contrived "black culture". It's a very effective tool to control them. Of course, any individual can choose instead to think outside of the box. But for most, that challenge proves to be too much.

Everlast, was one of the first white dudes in the main stream game. He was hooked up with Ice T and the Syndicate, then moved on to this band, then went solo, and keeps going back n forth between solo work and various groups like Lo Koka Nostra with B- Reel and Warporn Industrys. He always laughs and admits he was glad he didnt break with his first solo record in the 80's cause if he did, it was so corny and he was so young, that if he had made it then, he would be just like Vanilla Ice was 2 years afrer his break, which is finished artisically, instead of a 44 year career.

House of pain is made up of three members Danny Boy, Everlast and DJ Lethal. Everlast is the main rapper on the song jump around, he was initially discovered and worked with Ice-T. I believe Everlast and DJ Lethal were originally from LA but Danny boy was originally from New York City and moved LA. Danny boy whose father was incarcerated when Danny was only two months old then his father later became a homeless alcoholic who was murdered by being doused in gasoline and set on fire. Danny boy then became involved in gang activity. So although they are a white rap group it appears that they were influenced based on their surroundings and their life experiences. Cypress Hill later covered the song, Jump Around.

ok soooo....we did NOT go rom the Beasties to Vanilla Ice. While they have the same melanin content, they are as far apart as they could be musically. House of Pain is closer to the Beasties to b sure, but occupy a totally different area of 90's hip hop
