The Final Episode | 2001 KX250 Rebuild Episode 8 | Kawasaki 2 Stroke

- In this episode of the KX250 build I ride the bike, rejet it, add a few finishing touches, install the Phathead cylinder head, and do a photoshoot of this mean machine. Thank you all for following along with this build. It has been an awesome 5 months and I greatly appreciate all of the support. Be on the lookout for a complete timelapse of the build coming soon.
**NOTE: Luke at Phathead informed me that a head gasket is NOT required when running a Phathead. The O-rings can be re-used when swapping domes and you no longer need to worry about replacing the head gasket. Yet another plus to running a Phathead!

Great build man! I got one over the winter and gave it the full treatment too! The main difference is I didn't get the restyle kit from TX Race (I will at some point) and went with a full FMF system. Fatty and Turbine silencer. The 2000 KX250 is a blast of a bike. Keep it up man. Love the energy and the content!!
Absolutely stunning mate, Love it 🤙
great build series,.....can't wait for the next project bike.
❤ you still need the purple lining seat so I can match the hubs
You d an amazing job on this kx 250, just like WAAOOOwh, Please tell me where can i have the PLASTIC KIT for my KX 125 2001
The plastic kit please tell i can buy it
This is the TX Race restyle kit!
Looks beautiful! Ready to shred!
how bye this parts?
What was the rough estimate to get bike in this condition mate , it’s a beaut
Turned out perfect. That Phathead is the cherry on top 👌
Been thinking about this TX re-style kit for my bike. My concern is being married to them for replacement plastic and graphics. Do standard KX plastics and graphics work once the brackets are installed? If so what year KX and model?
Sorry it's so late but im pretty sure you can run 2020+ kx450 plastic with some modifications with a razor. Definitely double check though!
Fantastic end result, watching from England 🏴!!
Thanks so much, glad you enjoyed!
Importa peças para o Brasil
This is not the tx race kit plastics. What are these?
They are TX race
@@KincadePavich damn okay thanks. Mustve been the graphics throwing me off or something. Is there a US dealer i can buy them from?
@@squid0g Nope, the only place you can buy to my knowledge is directly from them. Definitely pricey. They look great, but if it's a bike you plan to ride all the time I might consider going with original style. Some of the fasteners are cheap and flimsy, and getting the tank on and off is a process. For this bike kind of being a show piece I'm happy with them.
@@KincadePavich hmmm okay. Thanks for the insight👌
How much you want for it
2:35 where you find that white brake guard please?
OEM part. Bought it on Rocky Mountain
💯🔥🔥🔥🔥 love my old 2T bikes
I got a 2001 kx125 and the frame is rusty, but the motor was rebuilt when I bought it so I don’t wanna take it apart just to paint the frame
I know it sounds like a pain, but you really can have that engine out of that frame in under 2 hours. Rust is not good for the longevity of the bike!
@@KincadePavich I just ordered the kawi green touch up paint (comes with brush)
@@Scythe_Voltage Nice, good luck!
Beautiful. I would buy this bike!
It'll be for sale eventually! It is in my living room right now :)
Que hermosa moto
3:40 where did u get those rubber boots for the lever
