THANK YOU to everyone who has stumbled upon this video recently! It is awesome to hear all of the great feedback and see this build get some solid recognition. I'm on the hunt for another project bike!
I don't usually comment, but it is impossible to stay indifferent to this young guy's skills and courage. it takes tons of knowledge and bravery to brake a bike to so many parts. my friend, you have the balls of an ostrich!
That seat cover tho!🤣 I once bought a Kdx220 with a hole in the lower case like yours, and I actually brought it to a boat propeller shop and they tig welded it back for me.
Holy shit its 230am and i just finally finished tearing down my 2000 KX250 and came across this video.....first 30 seconds of the video and reading the description GOOSEBUMPS! LETS GO lol
Glad to see this bike being restored.. I have this very same year of bike which I ride every summer with my riding friends which all all have the fourstrokes , 250s and 450s, I keep up and outride some on this bike. I'm pushing 60 years old and feel like a child when I ride..love the video and long live two strokes.
I bought an abused/neglected 01 zrx1200r about 4 years ago and spent the fall, winter and spring doing to it what you just did. Only thing I did not video it. I wished I had, because every where I ride it, people want to talk to me about my bike.. great job by the way
Lucky for me, dude is one of the best mechanics😂 I’m really a hands on person but your 2-3 kx250 rebuilds vids make it feel like I could completely rebuild one while it being my first time
I just found one of these bikes in pretty good condition.. I looked at it yesterday and this video inspired me to buy it.. I’m going to pick it up this weekend for 1900 bucks, seems like a steal.. new top end and everything
@@KincadePavich definitely ride lol all it needs are new plastics and there’s a small tear in the seat.. and the front brake lever is a little bent.. I’m just gonna piece it together to my liking over the winter.
@@KincadePavich ride, but buy parts here and there.. probably take it down to the frame over the winter lol. Do you think this is too much bike for a first bike? I’ve ridden before but never actually owned a bike of my own
I currently have my 98 rm250 I'm rebuilding. Police found it after being stolen 14 years ago. Its came back missing almost everything I have frame wheels forks and half a motor. But pleased to have it back.
I’m in the middle of a total frame up resto of a 1995 KX 250. It will be brand spanking new when I’m done, I can totally appreciate what this kind of endeavour requires.
Hey man love the build! literally after watching this you gave me so many ideas with my new restoration of an 87' kx250 thank you so much for the inspiration , I have to do the whole bike inside and out wish me luck.
awesome fkn job. I am so tired of watching the rich people rebuilds with every tool in the world at there disposal, ovens and racks and presses and, its freaking crazy. I love how you do it with all the tools a normal guy would have in his garage. Love the vise/press idea, big kudos. You just showed all these corporates bastards it can be done on a budget.
Good job dude. I did the same thing with my 1999 KX125 apart from the bottom end rebuild. One cannot understand the pain, effort, commitment, time and money needed to accomplish a decent result, unless they have done it xD
I agree with you 100% I'm redoing my old 2002 that's been sitting for 12 years...tough finding parts for the old L model kx 125s these days. No bling at all for sale through pro circuit or anybody else...sucks
My dad has a kx250 2001 and I have a 2000 kx 125 i put a 2014 front fender on it and it looks sick lol love the bikes tho gonna keep this bike forever was the first dirt bike I bought with my own money
Awesome work. I applauded your commitment. I know how frustrating it can be just to keep up with Maintanince on a bike I can just imagine a whole build. The good thing about it is you know it’s all new parts. It’s just remembering what Oder to go in.
Wow... I would swoop on that bike in a heartbeat. I really miss my 2stroke :( This is one of the most incredible and beautiful bikes I've ever seen across all makes in my entire life. Although, I am a Kawasaki rider myself, so maybe I'm biased. I seriously would love to own something like this, great job man!!
Thanks for the comment! I did end up selling the bike a couple months ago for $6000. My next all-out build like this will be a 2003 Suzuki RM125 this winter!
W🤩🤩🤩w, this restauration truly came out perfect! I own a 2007 CRF250R, recently renovated quite some parts of it,it's pretty much done visually except for the graphics which I still need to choose, still needs replacement of big parts like the exhaust, both silencers and pipes though the original ones have no dents, nibs or scratches whatsoever... Saying this because Honda is the brand I like the most but this video on the restauration done to this Kawasaki and how it turned out to be really spiked my apetite on these greeny ladies, moreover a friend of mine just finished a full restauration on a 1996 KDX250 just like the one you performed and it's looking deliciously good,he's just waiting on the exhaust chamber to return as he send it out for a nickel-plating procedure. Once again big congrats all the way from 🇵🇹 on the work done, I think that we all should save most of these old school dirt bikes from ending up their lives as metal scraps...
i really like it your interest and hard job is great and i also like Kawasaki and two stoke . is it if possible you restore Kawasaki gto 125 1992 or 93 model you make millions of like and sher that baike is very beautiful in there category By the way in last you r a great lover of your job prayers for you 👍
Pretty sweet man I had a KX 250 back in 95 and I sold it back then for $600 I only paid $600 for it when I bought it and road it for 4 years that bike was still ripping it up only thing was I lost the exhaust but I kept riding it the thing was crazy loud you Could hear it from a mile away I would like to do exactly what you just have completed problem is I don’t have a shop and you really need one to do what your doing
Un trabajo excelente!! Yo tengo una yamaha YZ 250 de 1998 y me da mucha envidia lo que has hecho a tu Kawa, que lastima que yo no tengo tu talento. Saludos desde España
Very nice bouild congrats...kawa is my favorite bike .....works pro cuicuit looks amazing on it and when i sow how the back fender vibrate ❤ Nice job, great skills .... Bravo
For my first dirtbike, going into it with no idea what a dirtbike was until I got it, I already knew how to clean the carb, air filter, change the throttle cable and such. I’m only a beginner so I’m only going to know beginner things, but I’m going to learn more and eventually make the dirtbike I have better overtime. I have a list of everything I really need right now. I’m more focused on the actual performance of it rather than the cosmetics.
In 2011 after years of hunting, I finally found and bought an excellent 2001 CR250. I have not restored it, but it's in the works, I love this bike so much that I often don't feel right about taking it out. 9 out of 10 times I'll fire her up, give her a pat, hit kill switch & take the XR out instead. Who else out there owns an old 2 stroke piece of dirt bike history, restored or not restored and like me feels very conflicted?
