Sherriff, you are totally right. Alice Cooper, was a bit of a shock rocker, raise your fist and yell was my fave, but loved his early works too, and the 'carnival of gore' all a character, shocking, sometimes terrifying gothic, but whooooeeeee, he always stepped up to what folks wanted, and always top of his game every decade. And ya know what? Always seemed like a nice fun guy playing like some kinda addams family favorite uncle..... Love the dude. The worst thing I ever heard about him, was that some of his snakes got loose before concert... hehehehe.

Alice has written more albums in more genres of a higher quality than Manson ever has. I'm an atheist, but I'll say it loud and proud, a lot of Alices more religious albums are some of the best heavy metal records hes ever done, and guess what he did Industrial metal better than both Manson and NIN ever did. Hell WASP another band where Blackie is a Christian did industrial better than they did as well. Alice has excelled at more music genres than anyone. Also how is he a fraud, is being a fraud making ten times the quality of any Manson record.

I love how Alice play's up the whole emperor of rock thing with the kissing of the hand and all the stuff like that. He is NOT an arrogant guy, I've met him and can attest to that. He just loves to play the part and it's always done with humor unlike some rock star's who really take that shit seriously. I've followed the Band and then Him solo for their entire career being and from Detroit I got to see them and Him a LOT. Cool entertainment video thanks.

Here's my Alice Cooper story: I grew up listening to the Floyd, Whitesnake, Zep, Cooper, Sabbath, etc. Last day of 5th grade...I bring my Alice Cooper tape to school because I want to play "School's Out" in the class. I go up to the teacher and ask, "can I play my tape?" She said "sure, who is it?" I said Alice Cooper and she, no shit, looked like I told her wanted to read fucking Mein Kampf to the class. I had no CLUE what happened. It was just a cool song in my 9 year old mind. Funniest shit ever looking back. My parents had to talk to her to get her to chill the hell out.
How uptight people are makes me laugh to this day.

For my senior year in high school they had all the classes vote on what their song would be. I spread the word to have School's Out voted on. It won in a landslide. Afterwards some teacher in charge rejected the song and tried to claim they had lyrics about drug use in the song. I should've fought harder than I did to get that song chosen.

That was a surprise. Same as learning he was best friends with Glenn Campbell. They were neighbors, and Alice says Eddie Van Halen asked him if he could get him a private guitar lesson with him, as Campbell was apparently one of the top 5 guitarists in the world. Alice moves in some pretty cool circles, although truth be known, they probably all orbited around him.
