He was a big fan, I knew who they were, but I never really listened to them. Believe it or not, the first song I heard by them was Beast and the Harlot, and I heard it on Guitar Hero 2. Man, that feels like a million years ago. LOL!! I was watching my brother play the game one day, and he played that song, and I was hooked after that. Lol. I've been a huge fan ever since. I even got the Deathbat tattooed on my back two years ago for my 20th birthday. It's crazy that I've been a fan for so long, especially since I'm turning 22 next month. Holy crap. My older brother introduced me to a7x when waking the fallen was out, but I didn't really start getting into music until 8th grade and thats when city of evil was out. Been listening ever since.
Can we get a Graham Hartman roast featuring a bunch of metal musicians along with that? (Just for fun, of course. I don't have anything against him.) I feel like it's long overdue.
this is actually my first time hearing him talk in an interview. as a fan of the band if you told me "hey listen to this guy speak and tell me who he sings for" I would've never of guessed. so Loudwire if you read this, perhaps that could be a new idea for the channel...like Guess This Singer. he sounds so soft spoken I would have never of guessed. People like Ozzy and Phil Anselmo I would know right away. just a thought. Like this comment if you like the idea for a new series so Loudwire sees it
"Synyster Gaytes" And just when I thought he couldn't get any gayer... Also Shads' voice cracking when Jimmy was mentioned. ;__; I named my cat after him.
Learning about the history of A Little Piece of Heaven is incredible because that song was the song that made me realize I love this band and I dove right in, finding songs in the past that I loved and a whole library of songs I never knew existed and they all work for me and keep me well
My teens grew up listening to bands like A7X, Pantera, Slayer, ect. They Play Guitar and Drums and have found a bassist. Their first cover was Bat Country
The Band that got me into music. My favorite Albums are Hail to the King and Nightmare. Listen to them every single day. Massive inspiration, please never stop making music.
My mind was immediately blown when he mentioned Sonata Arctica. I always thought it would be interesting to see A7x's thoughts on power/symphonic metal because I believe they would appreciate the musical mastery and a lot of the elements those genres bring. Plus Nightwish & Sonata Arctica are my top two favorite bands, so this genuinely just made my day that he knows about them and has heard their music :').

Time really does fly by. They played a crucial part in my middle school and high school years, among other bands. Lol. :P
I'm gonna see them live in Denver next month, and it'll be my 7th time seeing them. Holy shit. That still blows my mind. Lol. But then again, I haven't missed a show since 2010. But I'm excited. I know it'll be one hell of a show. :D
My brother got me into them too when I was in high school I was 14 & i was obsessed lol Their music was playing all the time on fuse and on this channel we watched called havoc tv and I remember seize the day came out around that time and beast the harlot was on guitar hero 🎸 My brother and I bonded over their music and I’m so glad it’s something I can reminisce about since my brother passed seven years ago
My older brother introduced me to a7x when waking the fallen was out, but I didn't really start getting into music until 8th grade and thats when city of evil was out. Been listening ever since.
Please get Chino Moreno on here!
Ghostaey khe vergas !
There’s an 💡
I second this three times
My man!!! Still loyal to these guys since 2003
It's always nice to see other fans from the WTF years.
For a guy who looked scary at one point in time actually would not be scary when you approached him. He is badass with a side of humble pie
Please do Adam Gontier next fact or fiction episode pleaseeeeeeeee
john A. I second that. Adam has been a favorite vocalist of mine for many years and that would be really cool to see.
Nick Germain same
john A. Can we get a Graham Hartmann fact or fiction lol
Can we get a Graham Hartman roast featuring a bunch of metal musicians along with that? (Just for fun, of course. I don't have anything against him.) I feel like it's long overdue.
YES!!! I love him!
this is actually my first time hearing him talk in an interview. as a fan of the band if you told me "hey listen to this guy speak and tell me who he sings for" I would've never of guessed. so Loudwire if you read this, perhaps that could be a new idea for the channel...like Guess This Singer. he sounds so soft spoken I would have never of guessed. People like Ozzy and Phil Anselmo I would know right away. just a thought. Like this comment if you like the idea for a new series so Loudwire sees it
He is so adorable!!!! I would never have guessed he was like this... kinda got a fan crush on him now
10:50 that heavy breathing and hesitation really says it all..
You can hate "news" bands, but this dude have a really good voice
He seems so down to earth x
He seems like a really cool dude.
"Synyster Gaytes" And just when I thought he couldn't get any gayer...
Also Shads' voice cracking when Jimmy was mentioned. ;__; I named my cat after him.
I like how he looks very intimidating on stage but he looks like the guy who is everyone's friend in interviews.
I don't think I ever realized just how *high* M. Shadows' speaking voice is.
OMG HE SAID 'BLIND GUARDIAN'. Now I love this dude even more!
Learning about the history of A Little Piece of Heaven is incredible because that song was the song that made me realize I love this band and I dove right in, finding songs in the past that I loved and a whole library of songs I never knew existed and they all work for me and keep me well
His voice used to be less gravelly and more strong 😢 oh well he still kicks ass
He’s the reason why I started to listen to Avenged Sevenfold❤ His voice, singing style and of course, how cute he is😍😙
He's so chill and down to earth here! Complete opposite of how he is portrayed in music videos and even how he carries himself on stage!
10:51 Damn that was an emotionally heavy moment
My teens grew up listening to bands like A7X, Pantera, Slayer, ect. They Play Guitar and Drums and have found a bassist. Their first cover was Bat Country
I love how honest he is. And I don’t feel as nerdy knowing to play the clarinet now😂
A little piece of heaven came straight out of jimmys brain.
No way.. that song could only come from the twisted beautiful mind that was jimmys
now we want synyster gates!
Please do James Hetfield next
Sergeant Purcell not happening till they pay him and Lars a million pounds each....
Jonathan Davis & Jens Kidman also
That'd be a hell of a get. Slightly more likely than getting Tupac or Elvis.
DonteKeys But Elvis isn’t dead
OOOOO YEH HEEEEEEEHHHHH!!!!
His talking voice is so much different than I figured
ua-cam.com/video/u8pCYTjEl8M/v-deo.html
His voice has changed
Been waiting so God damn long for this...
It’s better than I could have possibly imagined...
And that’s great!
Mr. Newstead, seeing how you enjoyed these songs made me so happy. I’ve loved this since 20 years.
The Band that got me into music. My favorite Albums are Hail to the King and Nightmare. Listen to them every single day. Massive inspiration, please never stop making music.
Do one with Mike Patton.
Brett Deutsch Yes
When Matt says busting out on a clarinet is boss at 30 years old warms my heart, maybe because I'm a clarinet player lol.
Do Ben Burnley from Breaking Benjamin
Lilli Kositzke yes please
Lilli Kositzke Hell yea!
This would be a great one. Love to hear questions about the break up
AGREED
YES.
Not what I thought M. Shadows speaking voice would sound like.
