My personal favorite is nightmare, after the rev died, it's like that album had all the stages of grief, it's so emotionally charged that it's hard not to love, and save me is my favorite song they've made to date.

That's what I thought too... 30-32 ish. He's always been sort of a health nut, hasn't he? Works out a lot, plays lots of basketball, eats healthy, even when on tour (specifically stated that he and Syn load the fridge up with boiled eggs lol) and has said numerous times that he stays in the bus playing video games rather than go out to party.

The members of the band like Syn and Matt will always be emotional over it, they were friends since they were legit just kids and they amount of time they spent together practicing and touring etc, the band was probably As close as any band gets, you could always tell how much they loved eachother and you can still tell when they talk about the Rev.
In reference to the hardcore scene "they're not hard to piss off."

This leads to the question: "If the scene is so easy to piss off, how can it can call itself Hardcore?". Being easily triggered makes it look soft as fuck.

I feel like M. Shadows would be one of those guys that everyone adores.
While singing he sounds like such a rough individual, and when he speaks he sounds like a gentle old man. I really love him.
Exactly this his actual personality is not what you would expect from him being the lead singer in A7X he comes off as actually welcoming and a genuine sweet wholesome dude
Nightmare was released not very long before my dad passed away. Hell, “So Far Away” actually came on the radio as we were driving to the hospital to say goodbye to him the day he was taken off life support. That album meant more to me than I can express. To hear those lyrics and to know that I wasn’t the only one that had experienced that kind of pain kept me sane. I knew that you could hurt that bad but still find a way to move forward and keep living your life. And I know I’m not the only one that that album had that effect on. I hope one day I get the chance to thank the guys of A7X personally!
Same man, except I lost a friend to similar circumstances as the Rev, the record was jarring at the time and is still hard to listen too even though it has such importance for my past and how I was able to survive that time. This album is so symbolic
I'm so sorry for what you have gone through but that's a helluva story. Stay strong my man!

M. Shadows personality is genuine and friendly type. I'm a Filipino here in PH and if I see him for the 1st time somewhere and take photograph, I'm pretty sure he will say 'Of course, come here' and the rest is history.
Can't say I'm an A7X fan, but I absolutely have major respect for M. Shadows after hearing this. Seems like a hell of a guy and super down to earth.

avenged sevenfold saved my life more times than literally anything or anyone else. i love them more than anything in the world. it's the purest love i've ever felt. everybody just calls me marina7x because i decided that that's what i wanted to be called. avenged sevenfold has been the greatest, most dominant part of who i am, and everything i believe in. i've been going through a rough patch and seeing this video reminded me of the love i feel for them and how strong it is which just made me feel calm as a whole. the effect it has on me is unparalleled. thank you for this. thank you

He sounds very different than how he used to. If you can find an interview from the early 2000's, his voice sounds different due to it not being destroyed by all the screaming
I bet, if you found an interview of him from, let’s say, 2001, his voice would sound radically different due to all the screaming he did. Also, he got a vocal nodule in 2018 that prevented him from singing.

I'm so glad you guys finally got an A7X member to do this. Lol. I remember discovering Avenged through my older brother when I was about 10 years old. He was a big fan, I knew who they were, but I never really listened to them. Believe it or not, the first song I heard by them was Beast and the Harlot, and I heard it on Guitar Hero 2. Man, that feels like a million years ago. LOL!! I was watching my brother play the game one day, and he played that song, and I was hooked after that. Lol. I've been a huge fan ever since. I even got the Deathbat tattooed on my back two years ago for my 20th birthday. It's crazy that I've been a fan for so long, especially since I'm turning 22 next month. Holy crap. Time really does fly by. They played a crucial part in my middle school and high school years, among other bands. Lol. :P
I'm gonna see them live in Denver next month, and it'll be my 7th time seeing them. Holy shit. That still blows my mind. Lol. But then again, I haven't missed a show since 2010. But I'm excited. I know it'll be one hell of a show. :D
My brother got me into them too when I was in high school I was 14 & i was obsessed lol Their music was playing all the time on fuse and on this channel we watched called havoc tv and I remember seize the day came out around that time and beast the harlot was on guitar hero 🎸 My brother and I bonded over their music and I’m so glad it’s something I can reminisce about since my brother passed seven years ago
My older brother introduced me to a7x when waking the fallen was out, but I didn't really start getting into music until 8th grade and thats when city of evil was out. Been listening ever since.

this is actually my first time hearing him talk in an interview. as a fan of the band if you told me "hey listen to this guy speak and tell me who he sings for" I would've never of guessed. so Loudwire if you read this, perhaps that could be a new idea for the channel...like Guess This Singer. he sounds so soft spoken I would have never of guessed. People like Ozzy and Phil Anselmo I would know right away. just a thought. Like this comment if you like the idea for a new series so Loudwire sees it
My teens grew up listening to bands like A7X, Pantera, Slayer, ect. They Play Guitar and Drums and have found a bassist. Their first cover was Bat Country

I've been lucky enough to see these guys all over the country. From teeny tiny stages, to huge arenas and sounding the seventh trumpet is still one of my favorite albums ever. I miss the days of seeing them play songs from that album.
