I met David when I was 16 in 2005 and he grabbed me by the collar and dragged me to the front of the line to sign autographs with the band, gave me a signed album. I got to shake their hands, and Draiman gave me a great big hug and stared me straight in the eye and said "I appreciate you as a fan, be good to people, be good to yourself"

*HA!!!!!!* His honesty. Good one! If his nose grew an inch for every time he's lied about his use of Auto-Tune, that massive pointy schnoz would extend from Earth all the way to the farthest galaxy. It would be so far away, even William Shatner and his raggedy toupee and Scotty's most powerful engines would be unable to travel the distance necessary to explore it.

Sorry to burst your bubble with some friends who our audio engineers and technical advisors every live mic can be tuned and added effect there's plenty video out their about it but with that being said it takes someone with an amazing voice to only need slight touches and effects added to provide a show he is amazing frontman and singer but he does have his mic tuned like everyone but it's part of the performance so it's not a knock against them just know when you see Broadway now that's true performances and talent singing

Back in January 15th of 2016 my son died from PTSD induced suicide. One of an overall estimated average of 22 veterans per day who take their own lives. One of the last things my son Keith and I did together was watch your music video cover on "Sound of Silence" when it first came onto UA-cam. That was about a week before he died. Needless to say that song as you folks did it continues to be something very special to my wife Carole and me.

@Campbell Koschei it's not so brainless based upon YOUR previous comment.... the thing that YOU failed to identify based upon your choice of wording is this..... are you referring to the guy that threw the 25lb weight as being the "full of shit this garbage human piece of garbage", or are you referring to David Draimand for being the piece of garbage? Because if you were referring to the latter, one could ONLY expect that it was YOU that originally threw the weight. THAT'S what I am talking about.... since you needed it specifically spelled out. Also, before you call someone else a "brainless piece of shit", you MIGHT try using your eloquent vocabulary to actually form a complete, coherent sentence. His favorite song as well as mine is Sound of Silence. I am a huge fan of the Simon and Garfunkel version and normally not a fan of covers however Mr. Draiman infused new life to one of the all time best songs ever.

They might help your kid, too, if you’re interested. And if you plan on taking them to a concert, I’d recommend staying near the edge of the crowd so if they get too overwhelmed they can get out for a sec and take a break. I hope this helps. :)

+MisterDevos well I find that utterly stupid then, 1/5 people in the UK will smoke weed at some point in their life, I bet that's higher in the USA where most people on this channel are from

Bear Plays He seems like a great guy, just because someone smokes weed doesn't mean you should look at them differently. Nobody is perfect.

I truly feel David will be noted as the best singing voice and video in history with the Sound Of Silence. It's brilliant. That's my opinion anyway. I could listen to that song all day long. Truly remarkable capture of the song.

I love this guy! I read somewhere that Disturbed’s performance of Sound Of Silence that was on the Jimmy Kimmel show won an award for the best live performance. Not many could win an award for playing a late night talk show. It’s one of the few covers that are just as good as the original. Gives me chills!

my grandpa is the same way, always was. he has some pre vietnam stories that would make you laugh and gasp in horror, and some that would make you weep (he had good times, but also saw some serious shit.)

Never thought I'd be listening to Disturbed but hey, you only live once, right? Sound of Silence was and is a beautiful rendition of the original but,to me, better. Such feeling of rage that I found awesome and then I found Hold on to the memories and I was loving your voice and I want to thank you for being so honest. Nothing to hide.

David Draiman has become probably my favorite singer in rock and roll in the last couple of decades. I grew up on Duran Duran, Journey, The Eagles, Pink Floyd, Rush, U2. What they were for me back in the 70's and 80's, this guy and Disturbed are for me in the last couple decades.
Thank you, Graham, and Loudwire, for this video. Keep up the great work!
