- Abel is bringing Monique to court for full custody and child support. Monique says she still has issues related to post partum such as depression and Abel was not there for her. The depression temporarily disappeared briefly so Monique could beat up Abel's new girlfriend.

People need to stop calling it “helping with the child” when it’s their own child. It’s your responsibility. You shouldn’t be “helping” mom but raising the child together.

Women need to quit considering it their child until the child needs something then suddenly its his child. When it comes to custody and control its her child when it comes to support feeding and clothing its his child. Its women on this very same show haven't had their child in years but requesting that the father pay them child support even though the father has custody🙄🙄🙄
The father is a hypocrite. I was 100% for the dad until he confessed he had a girlfriend. I commend the mother for her desire to keep the family together - with the exception of the assault charge. I hope the mother files for support and the father grows up and financially, emotionally and developmentally supports his son.
Honestly I am unsure if the kid deserves either of them.
The mom seems like she is practicing self-care and using the kid to avoid the depression which most likely makes her a neglectful partner (so not trying to keep the family together) and more likely to turn that victim mentality violence she showed towards her kid if they start acting up.
Meanwhile, I don't think the dad is much better as he seems to have quite the hands-off approach.
It honestly seems like the best chance that child has is for both of them to commit to a licensed therapist, and perhaps couples therapy. That way, they can learn to communicate and she can actually work on that depression of hers.

I’m a mother of 4. With my last baby I got PPD she’s nine years old now and I’m still on meds. I absolutely hate that people assume PPD shouldn’t last that long.
It's amazing to me how men who have no idea what a woman's body goes through during and after pregnancy but have the nerve to comment. And make laws about it 🙄
PPD does NOT last 9 years. You have depression.

She gave the child to him when she fought the other women. The only thing the court will see is she's unstable period. If you can't deal with your emotions the court will lock u up.

@@thatmdguy4557 Okay, assuming that you are right that he filed for full custody first, then once custody is granted, then you file for child support, or, if the courts in that jurisdiction allow it, file for both at the same time, and once custody is decided upon, support follows.
There are many people who are collecting child support while the other parent is taking care of the kids.
Postpartum is real. It lasts years sometimes.
Best learn how to deal with it, then. Surely you don't suggest it's an excuse to check out?

Any man who's jealous of a baby/child doesn't like children. He doesn't want the child because he thinks she/he are in danger, he wants the child to get back at the mother AND to not pay child support.
I agree. I think his story is ABSOLUTE bull. I think the TRUTH is, he saw a beautiful woman, they were having unprotected sex and suddenly she's pregnant and having to focus on taking care of the child rather than him and now he's jealous and bitter and the ONLY reason he wants child support is to get back at her out of pure spite. He has NO interest in being a real Dad. He just knows if he doesn't do it, she WILL and then HE will have to pay to support this child he finds so annoying. This child is 6 yrs old now. He's probably in school. He can play by himself some. He's not a baby anymore. But like any good Mom, she's tired and stressed and dealing with post partum depression and taking care of this baby and according to her, HE'S not supporting her needs....so WHY THEN should she support him?

She's likely getting more from him now than she would if he were on Child Support, a lot of women avoid putting their baby daddy on Child Support for that reason.
I completely understand where she is coming from. HOWEVER- my personal feeling from experience of having a child, if you don’t ask for help, or vocalize what you need, your partner isn’t going to understand what they should try to do to help you. The partners often don’t understand that new mothers get overstimulated with being grabbed at non stop by the child, the loud crying and loud vocals of a child, constantly being needed, that will absolutely over stimulate your senses making you feel like don’t touch me when your partner wants physical attention. My husband also felt this way, left behind bc a new mom is so hyper focused on her offspring it’s hard to understand how to balance the relationships as a whole.
Facts this is true 100% I had twins first go round and I’m still dealing with postpartum 3 years later

They're actors this show is all reenactments for educational purposes.

So that language is that of the real case which means the only part of my statement that probably doesn't stand is my assessment of the emotion the woman was conveying. And that isn't completely true because any decent actor is supposed to be able to convey the emotions of the character they are/were portraying so if they read the transcripts from the case it wouldn't be to hard to tell.
@@Tonnnnia These reenactments are of "scenarios" based on real cases and not real cases themselves though, so its not like the actors are reading from a court transcript but are instead given a script that is based on several cases but is arranged in such a way as to be both educational and entertaining.
Also these guys are actors but that doesn't mean they're good or even decent as they're all amateur actors that haven't even done anything as big as a local commercial, so you can't put too much faith in their acting abilities since this is in many cases their first and last gig as an actor with lines. That said though most of them do a great job.

I do not believe he should’ve been jealous of the child as much as he was. He clearly showed that he was not as attentive as he should’ve been to the mother which is sad. But the man was right when he said that he is not a mind reader. If you know the type of person that he is then it should be one of the first things on your mind to tell them how you are feeling. They are both completely at fault and how this relationship turns out. Personally I am not sure if one or the other can take more of the blame.

I like how this show tends to show favorable fathers and dishonest mothers too. It's important to provide visibility between both gender parenting issues. Because fathers too, have to deal with deadbeat mothers.
There was an episode of Judy Justice that showed a good dad and dead beat mom I loved that episode well parts of it anyway.

I had to watch this case twice. The father is begging for "me" time and left the mother because his needs were not being met. Judge V definitely made the right call because the child is with the mother and she deserves support if she should ever decide to file. However, the violence against another woman is not acceptable. What happens to the child if/when the mother goes to jail? Surely, the father will get custody while the mother serves time.
And what if the mother goes too jail for assaulting another human? Plus notice she doesn't want child support she knows she is gone and will have too pay it back. Hope this happens too you your ex assault's your new gf/bf and then goes after child support( this is an old story). You know what happened to her she was granted child support for 2 week's and then went too jail guess who has the child? The father and who pays the child support ? The mother.

I am a single mom of an autistic boy. Had him day one . The audacity of some of these women infuriated me lol. I know it’s re-enactments but I also know people act like this . My sons father pays the bare min and refuses to adjust every year after taxes . And even though it’s court order to adjust ( which in reality would protect the person paying if income lowers and keeps it fair if the income increases ) but I can’t bring myself to fight in court . I’m on disability , work and make sure my boy has everything he needs . I can’t wrap my mind around some of these “parents”

She's likely getting more from him now than she would if he were on Child Support, a lot of women avoid putting their baby daddy on Child Support for that reason.
How in the world is it spiteful to want his child to live with him when she's getting into trouble assaulting people, can't hold down a job, and is living with an enabler? He's been helping her with the child and taking care of her but she's not providing a decent environment or role model for the child so no decent father would leave their kid in that situation. Limiting her ability to ruin their child's early years is his job as a father in this scenario and getting custody is the first step in that.

No difference it's like the majority of kids is with the grandparents more than they're with the mother that's a fact but the mother still gets child support it happens every day it could be a woman living with her parents and the kids he said that is obviously with the grandparents more than they going to be with the mother but she still gets child support right so if it's good to do that for a woman no matter who the child is with why wouldn't it be okay for the same thing for the man to get away with I don't understand
@@shonwoodland7200 That makes sense if he's providing more in insurance or other benefits than the Child Support for him would be so they have to reimburse him for that which is pretty reasonable in my opinion.
