I pay over $800 a month on a $45000 annual income. He should count his blessings, especially considering he didn't bring his proof of income difference pre covid and post covid and annual income reduction, something I definitely would have brought to a child support reduction hearing.

My ex husband’s 2nd wife did the same thing with my kids. I was wife #1. She complained about him sending money for his kids because it took away from money being spent on her. He ended up not sending child support for months at a time. I had an okay job and we managed to make things work but it was a struggle. I couldn’t get any assistance because they went off what he was SUPPOSED to pay, not what he DID pay.
She told the truth. Her hours was cut because of his wife. If he could offer her a extra 12 hours weekly so the support can be lowered, he could just put it on her schedule.

He better be glad he's not in the State of IL. Child support now is 17% per child, and that's a decrease. It was 20% when my children were getting child support

I believe he submitted with his request for reduction. I know in the state of Ga you have to pay like 100 bucks just for them to hear the same case again.
Technically you submit documentation with the request or they check it out. The case is just to hear from the other side because they can just calculate his child support without him being there.
I'm intrigued how no one brings in paperwork. Show some proof! Prove the business lost business. Prove the cost of insurance. This clown is amazing. He reduced her hours, got his support cut and still trying to pay less. He better be glad he's not in state court
Hearing these cases make me extremely glad I have a healthy co- parent relationship with my daughters father. No way I’d want to constantly go back and forth to court. I absolutely love this show though!!
Me too. We have a verbal agreement, and he pays back what he misses by topping up other months. He's not able to be alone with them much due to mental health issues, so he helps out with the house when I do bed-time before he leaves so I get some space then, instead (our kids are all preschoolers). We both work hard to still present the kids with a united family front. Just because parents can't work things out as a couple, doesn't mean the kids should suffer for it.

Man, my dad (I love him) but he definitely was like Mr. Cruz. He had me, 3 kids *2 from marriage and one oldest was from his wife's ex roommate. My mom found all this out in court when he asked for an adjustment for ANOTHER kid (outside of his marriage) to another woman. That is 5 kids total, and my mom was thinking of asking for less until she heard about his marriage and the additional kids. Thank God he got a ✂️

my ex was paying sporadic child support payments. We had to go back to court because he would not say how much money he was making when he was legally obligated. Judge increased his payment by 25 dollars. Three days later he went and got married to his live in girlfriend of five years and then tried to go back to court a month or two later saying his circumstances changed and he didn't want to pay support anymore. The judge was MAD... just because he got legally married doesn't mean he gets to reduce his payments. They tried saying he was supporting her and her two kids with because the kid's father was a deadbeat. I showed the father had 2 jobs, a brand new car and a new home. I stated if he can afford all of that then he can pay support. My children should not have to suffer because she doesn't want to go after support ( I suspect he was giving her money under the table). The judge was so outraged at him he was ordered to pay my lawyer fees. I also asked in writing if he wanted visitation so he could never say I tried to keep him from the kids and he declined. I never ever wanted him to say the reason he didn't see his kids was because I prohibited him.

Hearing these cases make me extremely glad I have a healthy co- parent relationship with my daughters father. No way I’d want to constantly go back and forth to court. I absolutely love this show though!!
Me too. We have a verbal agreement, and he pays back what he misses by topping up other months. He's not able to be alone with them much due to mental health issues, so he helps out with the house when I do bed-time before he leaves so I get some space then, instead (our kids are all preschoolers). We both work hard to still present the kids with a united family front. Just because parents can't work things out as a couple, doesn't mean the kids should suffer for it.
You are really blessed because it's hard to get 500 out of my kids father for 3 kids... 2 which are heavily involved in sports...

It sounds unfair that the judge asked the ex to prove what she's saying and not him.
She has their documentation and tax files for the proof of income. She just asks them for the show and to see if they’re honest

The mother is supposed to have proof of how someone else’s business has declined? Isn’t that backwards? Anyone can say their business has declined!! Shouldn’t the burden of proof fall on him to prove what he’s saying being he’s trying to have a financial gain? SMH

Sometimes folks deal with stuttering issues and other issues maybe have some compassion and not be too quick to judge. And the way the judicial system is setup, some folks go in super nervous.

Man, my dad (I love him) but he definitely was like Mr. Cruz. He had me, 3 kids *2 from marriage and one oldest was from his wife's ex roommate. My mom found all this out in court when he asked for an adjustment for ANOTHER kid (outside of his marriage) to another woman. That is 5 kids total, and my mom was thinking of asking for less until she heard about his marriage and the additional kids. Thank God he got a ✂️

Maybe because he was actually paying for his childs? It's well known that if you have a second child, your child support for the first one, can get lowered if you ask for it. He just being an ass

Love it when the non-custodial parent begs to reduce the payments on his kids from former wife cause he remarried and made another child with the new wife. Get a second or third job dude and stop making babies you do not want.
my ex was paying sporadic child support payments. We had to go back to court because he would not say how much money he was making when he was legally obligated. Judge increased his payment by 25 dollars. Three days later he went and got married to his live in girlfriend of five years and then tried to go back to court a month or two later saying his circumstances changed and he didn't want to pay support anymore. The judge was MAD... just because he got legally married doesn't mean he gets to reduce his payments. They tried saying he was supporting her and her two kids with because the kid's father was a deadbeat. I showed the father had 2 jobs, a brand new car and a new home. I stated if he can afford all of that then he can pay support. My children should not have to suffer because she doesn't want to go after support ( I suspect he was giving her money under the table). The judge was so outraged at him he was ordered to pay my lawyer fees. I also asked in writing if he wanted visitation so he could never say I tried to keep him from the kids and he declined. I never ever wanted him to say the reason he didn't see his kids was because I prohibited him.
Yeah it's really frustrating to me that he won this case. Nobody in the comments seem to be frustrated
I would’ve redacted that judgment quick soon as he was trying to calculate it on his phone. That a sign he doesn’t want to pay anything at all.

Ooouuu he got on my every last nerve, the mom took a lost. Having to work 2 jobs cuz the wife decreased her hours means there is now added pressure on her such as weekend care and etc.
