- DISCLAIMER::::I just realized I said (and typed) a 5.0L. Not sure why I said that. It’s a 5.7L. But anyways, yes, aware of the misspeak and mistype :)
air filter was garbage, so swapped it for a new one + new housing for it.

That was a nice K&N filter kit. Just needed a good cleaning.
Chet McGraw I agree with ya. But these things are so cheap, I didn’t mind springing for a new one; given I didn’t know when that had been replaced. Also went a smidge bigger with the filter.
350 - 5.7
Big Maistrote hilarious, I didn’t realize why you made this comment. I was just kinda like ok? Lol I realize I misspoke! 350, 5.7L. Not sure why I said 5.0??
Woman moment
Mine had a little play in it for the bottom part of the air cleaner. I just ordered a spacer hopefully that helps. If that doesn't work then I'll go with a K&N
Chrome don't get you home.the taller filter the less it clogs up and last longer.dont forget the gasket in between the filter and carburetor. You can get a thicker filter to fit the edelbrock filter housing.
So what would you recommend for a filter ? I gotta 63 impala with a 350. And it’s gotta edelbrock carb
@@jayvalentin018 you can order a 4"by I think its 13" wide thick edelbrock filter and the top and bottom plate on the internet
you still did a awesome job!!!
Hi. Hope you doing well. Samy from Norway here.
I have a Rochester 2 barrel carburetor 17058112, and i need help finding witch air cleaner fits on my carburetor? I'll appreciate very much.
If you still own the c10 and haven’t already change that fuel filter to something else the glass ones are bad for leaking and starting fires
Looks like you purchased the fully recessed filter housing but you need either a semi-recessed or flat air filter housing instead.
awesome video!!!!
just got one in my 1984 GMC K1500!
Thanks for the video
Diggin the bracelets
Thanks bro. Hubby bought a lot of em for me.
is there an advantage of this setup vs the original snorkel type on my 1980 camaro?
If you got a working hood scoop on your camaro this could help it a little but usually the snorkel will suck in less hot air
Nice truck
sweet chevy c10
You can flip over that new bottom plate if you want.
Either way. Looks great!
Thanks for sharing.

mafosa good to know! 👍🏻👍🏻
do you own a quadjet and if so did you plug the vancum live on the carb I have the air cleaner pan and hit have a vaccum line and air breather connected to it
Nope, I dont
5.0 350?
She literally didn't use the part I'm trying to figure out how to install. I was hoping to watch this so I could see what to do with the bottom but I guess I can't use it.
I got 2001 mustang I just brought this off Amazon
Will this fit ?
5.7 is 350. 5.0 is 305.
When using the filter the silver hose that’s goes down what do I do with that hole that it connects to
Shemarkie Gray I’m sorry but I don’t understand what exactly you’re asking about. I tried to watch the video to see, but I still don’t follow.
The origanl filter connects to the side of the truck also had a silver stretch vintage hose that’s connect to the side of the engine if I replace it with this I will remove that vent hose that it connects to can that hole stay open
I have a 89 Silverado c1500 350v8
Shemarkie Gray oh - mine doesn’t have that.... so I have no idea... Sorry. I’d check for videos for that year Chevy. Not sure if the air filter setup changed from carbureted motors to the fuel injected motors, but I’d look for a Chevy video for your year - which should be a fuel injected motor.
That hose is so your truck sucks warm air off the exhaust manifold when it first starts off. Taking it off may make it idle rougher in the cold
K&n is better quality better than the paper filter you replaced it with
What size is the filter? I’m using a 10 in filter for my c10 stepside 1985 and it just looks small it’s also a 350 5.7
Andrez Orozco it’s 14”, which is the most common size for these trucks.
J Hall thanks well I ordered the wrong size and I have it on and it’s been running good but I’m not sure if anything might go wrong
J Hall I got a new carburetor too but I went to the shop and they said mine is still good but will it give more power
Andrez Orozco yeah I’m pretty sure the actual size isn’t that big of a deal, if it fits. My theory, if it fits, it’s ok - if it doesn’t, it’s not made for it.
J Hall is there a number I can text you on so I can have more details because I love how your c10 is looking and might need help
5.7 350
She just said a 5-0 leader 350 and that's not a 350 I got the same motor I got a 305 and she got the 305
“She” Prob misspoke.
Nice video. Thanks for posting. This is applicable to a 5.0 or 5.7. So everyone on here correcting your simple misspeak is only trying to look for flaws in your video to try to compensate for their own insecurities. There's nothing more rewarding than pointing out the shortcomings of others. Also, everyone here commenting on you replacing a reusable K&N filter, you can tell by the mesh inner lining of that air filter you pulled off that it's not a K&N, just the lid is. If you like chrome, go chrome girl! Fuck all these mansplainers. Keep the videos coming.
Haha thanks for the support! It’s fun to read all of the comments from people who are hateful 🧐😅
Edelbreck
OOF
lol
Oh hunny🤦♂️ do you have a 305 or a 350, 350 is not a 5L
Kohl Guenette ha! I didn’t even mention I said that!!!! It’s a 5.7L! Totally misspoke!
5.7 350
