Very nice review but I believe there are differences in the Jabra online versus Costco premium offerings. I called Jabra recently and asked about how the Pro 20 at Costco compares to the Select 300 online. I was told they are similar but different. I was told the Pro 20 at Costco is similar to the current GN Resound Nexia, while the online Select 300 is similar to the earlier version. I think more specifically the Jabra representative on the phone said the prior version was the Omnia. I believe the online version is slightly larger than the one at Costco. I live over an hour from Costco but chose to go there to obtain the most modern offering.
I just ordered through Jabra online and the rep did not seem to know the difference. I would like to know the answer to that question also. Thanks for bringing that up.
That was really helpful, thank you! At 71 I’m into my first pair of hearing aids and after MUCH research, I decided to buy Jabra through the company. 100 day trial plus 3 years of service and warranty had me sold. Wish me luck! Really didn’t want hearing aids but realized it’s time. Great video! Like your style!!!
@5:19: “… these hearing aids have a brighter crisper sound quality than some of the other Hearing Aids…”. Beautiful. This explains why I “love” my Jabra Enhanced Pro 10. For instance, I have the Bose headphones and speakers, and I don’t care for the rounded, low mellow. It’s good for music, but I’m not into music that much. I want clarity in my speech both of myself and what I hear. I’m always complaining about mumbling even with my hearing aids. But, now I know people are mumbling lol. Thank you for your confirmation.
In my second month of Jabra Enhance Pro hearing aids trial period, purchased at Costco. As a long time user of Phonak I’m struggling with the sound quality of Jabra. It seems very harsh to me almost “tinny.” I’m grateful for longer trial period of 6 months as I’m still learning to use app for adjustments. Trying to be patient and give them a good trial, but really missing my Phonaks and the soft clarity… Will make an appointment with an audiologist if frustration continues to look at other options. Costco staff friendly but don’t have the in-depth knowledge of my former audiologist to individualize needs.
It might be worth trying Rexton (one of the other options at Costco). That sound tends to be softer and more round. I think you will find it closer to Phonak.
@@HearSoundly My first pair of hearing aides were from Rexton from Costco. One of them lost the battery power while I was travelling and by the time I got home I my hearing aides were no longer covered. Rexton would not replace the battery and I had to buy new ones. Right now I'm dealing with Jabra as my research showed that they might be the ones for my needs. I struggled to get them working for me, and I really appreciate the friendly and knowledgeable help that I've had from the costco people. I see them again tomorrow, and need a few more fixes but really liking them now.
I was told by one of Jabra's hearing specialists that the Jabra Select 500, which is their top direct-to-consumer model, is for mild to moderate hearing loss. However, according to some users in a hearing aid group on Reddit the Jabra Pro 20 from Costco is for mild to severe or even profound hearing loss, so clearly, they're different for someone like me with mildly-moderate to severe hearing loss.
Thanks for the app demo. Ive been trying to find ANYTHING showing the app and how it works. If a company has great hearing aids but horrible app then its not worth it. For some reason manufacturers dont seem to understand that.
Great explanation! Thinking of getting a pair from Costco. I know the app gives you many options, do they adjust automatically when doing from a quiet to noisy environments?
if you purchased the Jabra heating aids online and found later that you needed ear molds, how would that process work? Whereas, at Costco you have a hands-on specialist that would take care of this.
I currently wear Phonak P90Rs and a really nice feature is to be able to connect simultaneously to my iPhone and iPad without having to reconnect Bluetooth. Do these Jabras have that feature? Thanks.
I’ve had the Jabra Enhance Pro 20 for two weeks now. I bought them from Costco. I really like them. These are my first hearing aids. I didn’t see the tinnitus menu on the software following your example and guide. Question: Am I missing something?
@@HearSoundly I saw that you had two tabs on the top of the screen when you went to Sound Enhancer. I have no tabs to choose from, just the three point-EQ and the Noise reduction and Wind noise reduction sliders on the bottom. I have tinnitus and would love to mask it. I see you were in "Demo Mode" on the video. Possibly this feature is part of Resound's similar hearing aids, but not on the Costco versions of Jabra's hearing aids? Thanks for your great video and speedy reply! UPDATE: I just went on to Jabra's app users guide. It says this as a footnote: "**Available if the Tinnitus Sound Generator has been enabled by your hearing care professional." So, it would seem that I will need to ask about it at Costco, though I think the hearing aid assistant told me that none of their hearing aids had a feature for tinnitus. I wonder if that is a Costco thing or not.
ok good catch. I might suggest calling Costco and asking if they can turn this on. Costco is the only place that sells Jabra Pro so I’m assuming they should be able to do it since it’s in their app. Keep me posted! I’m curious now
@@HearSoundly I had my check up at Costco. The hearing specialist was not aware of a tab that was being shown in your video, but was quick to show me a route turn on (I believe) the tinnitus feature. Here's where to go on the iPhone: Settings-->Accessibility-->Audio & Visual-->Background Sounds-->the turn the slider on, choose the volume and sound type (Balanced Noise, Bright Noise, Dark Noise, Ocean, Rain, Stream). The Audio & Visual selection was a surprise. Now, when I swipe from the top-right of the screen down towards the bottom left and then touch the earring icon, a new menu is added that lets one control the Background Sounds. Basically, as I understand it, the tinnitus feature simply adds some background sounds to mask the tinnitus and the user can choose which kinds of background sound helps that person the best. This is clearly not as easy to enable, but once one chooses to to turn on "Background Sounds" it serves its purpose. Hope this helps others. I really like my Jabra Enhance Pro 20's. This makes fitting difficult in that ear as my hearing will continue to change. The charger seems now to be working. It's important that you keep it closed all the time as even a speck of dust with interfere with the charging of the hearing aide. Now that I'm doing that, my hearing aides are keeping fully chanrged for the day. Also, I'm learnging to adjustment that you can make to have surrounding changes . At the bottom of the menu, My Enhance Pro always has the red explanation mark there. I looked thru all the menu. Why doesn't the red turn off?
I'm looking forward to when hearing aid manufacturers make a big leap and have a setting for active noise cancellation. Why should that be so hard? Headset manufacturers have been doing it for decades. Set up the volume control on hearing aids so the user can set "negative gain". That's what noise cancellation is anyway. Send the sound to the earpiece out of phase with the incoming signal. Hearing aids do such fantastic signal processing anyway, why can't someone do this? Context: I ride motorcycles and have to switch between ear plugs for attenuation while riding and hearing aids for amplification when not riding. Come on, folks!
Great question! Go to settings > accessibility > audio routing > call audio > from there you can say you never want to receive inbound calls to your hearing aids. You should be able to override that when you want to after the call has started.

Wow, you totally skip the most important features! What frequencies do they amplify, how many frequencies do they have, and how can you adjust each frequency to fit your hearing loss? These have a sound equalizer like any cheap earbuds have. This is exactly why I go to a Hearing Aid Professional to get these features so I can hear. Yes I pay more but to actually hear something and make it sound great is worth the price. If you just want a sound booster these aids are OK but no better than an old horn stuck in your ear. So, if you want to prove me wrong, and I hope you can so I can save money, show us how to adjust these sound boosters to fit my hearing needs? I want to save money but I also want to hear. I do not go to Walgreens to buy a set of reading glasses to fix my cataracts either even though it is $6,000 cheaper to do it because it does not solve the actual problem and I actually like to see clearly.
If I understand your concerns about frequency adjustments, a part of being fitted with HA at Costco (or any HA office) is to adjust the frequency boosts to match your hearing prescription. The person fitting you will have many frequency band adjustments to give you the best hearing correction. The adjustments in the app, IMO, are there only to let you make crude adjustments in specific environments. Channels like Dr. Cliff and Hearing Club have videos which show this much better than my description. Hope this helps.
Jabra will program your aids to an audiogram or work with you to tweak the settings internally. They have the ability to adjust at least 10 bands of eq plus compression and expansion. I have the Jabra Enhance 200 and the service has been terrific

I am interested in your experience with getting your hearing aids replaced under warranty.
@@2Phast4Rocket I am pleased with the service that I'm getting from Costco with my Jabra hearing aides. I had a molded ear piece made for my right ear at a cost of $50 and that's really helping. Also, it turns out that the rapid hearing loss in my right ear is due to a pong lasting result of having Covid last year. I especially like pressing the button of the aide for 2 seconds, making directional changes to what you are hearing in crowds. This is a learning process for me, but I'm not determined to keep this ones.
I did return another brand and had no trouble getting my money back althought you won't get cash. YOu will get a credit on your Costco Mastercard. If you are from Ontario, you will also not have trouble getting a discount from OHIP again IF YOU BUY YOUR HEARING AIDES FROM COSTCO. I tried using getting my OHIP discount from a private hearing aide firm and they refused.
Do they not have a smaller charger case available? It's enormous, not really pocketable.
Right! I only needed one…i have the double case😮
I believe my Costco ones came with a flat fabric black case with a Velcro closure. I keep it in my swim bag to receive my HA when I go swimming. They work well. I’d include a picture but I don’t know how to do that.
@@wendychambers977. But one case has a battery for recharging. It’s something I’d like to have. Now that I know Costco carries it, I might purchase it from them. But online, Amazon, or Jabra direct is more convenient. A battery operated case is sometimes necessary to reboot your HAs when it’s necessary. Since we don’t have battery doors, we can open and close to restart the HAs.
Better bluetooth than Signa.
I called Jabra, and they dont sell the Jabra Enhance Pro 20 in Canada!
How can I get that product? I am near Montreal, Québec, Canada.
My mom just bought these from Costco in Ontario. . She got the in the canal custom version.
@@susantom4400 great! Thx. I will check that for my next trip to Ottawa. Hope they will autorise selling hearing aids in Québec Costco too.
Got a pair of Enhance PRO 20 from Costco. On the latest Galaxy ULTRA 24. Have the yellow Jabra Enhance APP.
I only see 3 programs. All Around, Hear in Noise, and a favorite I created at a lower volume.
Never saw the four you show. Is there a reason for that?
Can I make more than 1 Favorite?
How to get phone calls to ring on the phone, not in my hearing aid Jabra enhance 20?
Great question! Go to settings > accessibility > audio routing > call audio > from there you can say you never want to receive inbound calls to your hearing aids. You should be able to override that when you want to after the call has started.
@@HearSoundly Thank you, but your answer does not address my question. I want to know the setting to have the iPhone ring to the iPhone instead of ringing in my Jabra hearing aid ears. I do not want to set audio to have the voice of the caller go to the iPhone- I want the caller's voice to go to my Jabra hearing aids. If audio "never" go it hearing aids is the ONLY way to achieve that goal, please tell me step by step how to override once the call has been answered. Thank you.
@@HearSoundly Thanks but that does not address my issue. I want the iPhone not my hearing aid to play the sound for an incoming call. I want to answer with the iPhone and hear the caller speaking in my Jabra hearing aids. Please tell me step by step how to do that. I do not want to "never receive inbound calls to the hearing aids" I simply want the ring to go to the iPhone device. Also, there is no "call routing" in Accessibility, and no "call audio." I am using an iPhone. Please reply with instructions for iPhone. Thank you!
Have had mine for about 4 weeks and I absolutely hate them. Bought them ay Costco and have been in once to have them adjusted and their worse than before. As soon as I get back home I'm returning them. My recommendation is buy something else, these suck.
what? you do not like the battery (312) version?
Personally I prefer rechargeable, thought I know a lot of people like the convenience of 312 batteries for instant changes.
@@HearSoundly yeah, you put a little pack of batteries in your pocket and your good for 6 weeks or more - not just one day.
@@HearSoundlyLiving in a hurricane zone where we can lose power for weeks, having disposable batteries that can be replaced in a few seconds, is best option for me.
Should I be concerned that Jabra's are made in China? They seem to be the same as Resound Nexia but there has to be a difference.
I believe GN (the parent company) works with a few factories but most are in Asia. I believe that’s true for Jabra and ReSound
@@HearSoundly Thanks for the reply. I probably asked the wrong question. While the Jabra and Resound specs seem to be identical, could the difference also be inferior components in the Jabra?
Inappropriate...I know. But this reviewer is so good looking, he sold me just by being attractive. I'm so shallow, but I also can tell reasonable objectivity during a review.
not cheap
Huge con is that these do not connect to Windows PCs.
Total junk. Cant pair to app, left aid stops working for no reason. Multiple receivers replaced with a fee months. App is a total failure. Returning this week. Avoid.

I believe the Jabra pro 20 have 17 equalizer settings
