    Thanks for sharing this information. Will this be your only hearing aid you use for the rest of your life or for a long period of time like a year or more ? Do you like this sound better than the other HA you have used and reviewed?

    Can you please compare Sony C20 vs Eargo 7? Which do you think has the better sound ? Also which had the better sound when it comes to hearing your own voice ? Finally, is one smaller than the other - aka more invisible? Thank you

    Can you confirm that app does not have a “find my hearing aid” feature like the Jabari. My mom just bought the hearing aid and loves it but the app does not seem to have the feature if you misplace or lose the hearing aids.

    I just bought new Jabras from Costco and I am having two issues: t I cannot hear people! This is supposed to be such wonderful tech yet with all the adjustments I am doing the HA pick up speaker voices, picks up singing in stores and NOT the person I am with. I have tried everything. Secondly the volume, not the quality but level of volume is very high. In my old Jabras it would have been if I had turned UP my volume to hear better. These new ones are at this level all the time and I cannot turn them down. Suggestions?

    I got the Starkey Genesis AI RIC RT. I got the custom molded ear pieces made and have them in. After about two days, I started to get a clicking sound everytime I chewed in my left ear. I told the audiologist, he had me come in and took out the custom ear pieces and instead put in the rubber ear pieces. The custom ear pieces were the best fit, as I can feel when they are in. The rubber ear pieces are hard to tell if they are inserted correctly. I have tinnitus really loud ringing. Very nice video. Thanks What's next for me. First time user, 72 yrs old. Glad I came across you article.

    I have Costco hearing aids- Philips which are Otocons. Lost one right off the bat and couldn’t find it. Luckily you get 2 years of free insurance for loss and damage (one pair a year for two years) and got a new hearing aid at absolutely no cost to me. I’m getting molds so this won’t happen again. You get six months to try their HAs and can return them for a full refund at the end of this trial period. You can’t lose. Warranty is three years. If you don’t like them or the Costco model, go to an audiologist and pay between $4500 to $10,000 for the same thing. Yes the markup can be that much. Meanwhile Costco’s audiologists and licensed hearing aid fitters do not work on commission.

    I have the CRE-C10's. Is it worth the upgrade? I literally just purchased them in May, but hearing in background noise is my biggest complaint-- even with the C10's, there's still a bit of an issue.

      Interesting! I didn’t have that experience with C20 but also didn’t max out the volume. We haven’t gotten that feedback from customers as of yet. Perhaps they fixed it with the new chip. Lots of all around improvements on that front.

    I have moderate to medium earring loss starting at 3k Hz in the right ear and 1.5-2.0 Hz in the left. I am looking for a rechargeable model. I do not need Bluetooth streaming ( I hate headphones, always has, always will). The product I am looking for would be useful when I have to attend a function in a place where conversation is drowned in background chatter or music that is always played too loud for no good reason), which does not happen that often for me, but is still a pain in the you know what. Is there such a product that I could get on a reasonable budget ? The last time I went to an audiologist, she was offering something around 8K CDN$. This is utterly ridiculous. Looking for alternatives ! Cheers Robin from Canada

    I have the Nexia 9 since February. Both have been replaced now four times. The microphones keep failing. A sudden loud noise like just flushing a toilet makes the sound cut off fir a second and come back on. Firmware is up to date and my audi dud a new audiogram and programming. He is at a loss and ReSound has offered no assistance other than replacing them when they go in for service. Other than this annoyance, I like them. Even when doing the clipping, it doesn’t do it while streaming. That leads me to believe it is the microphones. It happens about every two or two and a half months. Does anyone else have this problem?

    Hey Blake, I'm a bit late to the party, but I was wondering if the AirPods need to stay connected to the iPhone for the hearing aid feature to work. I use an Android phone, but I could do the mimi test on a friend's iPhone. Did you try something similar (for example, connecting the AirPods to a TV after they were set up)?

    The issue is that it is only three channels... low mid and high frequency. A decent hearing aid offers at least eight channels. Thanks for this excellent review it was really helpful. *I see they only manage three hours streaming before a re-charge is needed. That is a possible deal breaker for some.*

    The ONLY reason to make them rechargeable is so they fail in 2 years!! The size 10 batteries last almost a week!! A full card of them can be carried in your wallet with the thickness of two credit cards! Why Why Why Why Why force us to carry around a charger and recharge the god damn things over night every night? OOPS i forgot to charge my hearing aids guess i'll be deaf for the day? The size 10 batteries are a no brainer, this is an awful trend and ruins the promise of these OTC devices for those of us that wear real hearing aids.

    Airpods Pro 2 *already* do what Apple seems to be touting as "new" - through the MIMI hearing test. Their "event" video didn't spend much time on this but showed their own hearing test which looks very similar if not identical to the test from the MIMI app. Did Apple buy it? The ability to create an audiogram from this test, upload it through the Health app and have the Airpods Pro 2 create a compensating EQ curve has been present for at least a year, maybe longer. How are these coming "new" features different?

    • @flooey580
      @flooey580 12 днів тому

      This from a blurb I just read concerning the new features to be added: "In addition, the company also unveiled its attempt to improve the AirPods Pro 2 with a Hearing Protection feature. This feature uses the muscle of the H2 processor to listen to your surroundings and reduce the level of noise that reaches your eardrum." How is this different from the "Loud Sound Reduction" setting? It's basically a limiter. We also already have a Transparency setting called "Ambient Noise Reduction." What is actually NEW here?

    • @HearSoundly
      @HearSoundly 12 днів тому

    • @azopxt
      @azopxt 3 години тому

      Switch are great for everyday use, and mimic the 3 individual products decently, but the quiet mode is the least similar yo the actual individual Quiet earplugs Many people bought the switch for daily use, and use the quiet mode on the city etc, and engage mode for talking, and aditionally those people claim the better option is to also buy a pair of Quiet 2's and use those in louder scenarios, and specially for sleep
