We leave from Canada next week and will be in Edinburgh for 3 days at the end of our holiday in Scotland. I now have pinned a number of must see sights to my Google map, thanks to you.
I don’t usually comment on UA-cam but I’d like to say that you have a very pleasant demeanor about you and I very much enjoyed this video. Have a blessed day. 😊
As a kid my fav free thing to do in Edinburgh was, to go to the far right lift at the back of Jenners. Get in the lift by myself and press the top floor button (it was offices but worth it). The lift was wonky so it was like a fair ground ride, sent my head up and down. Small things and we were forsed to go to Edinburgh to see odd family and they were odd, so any escape.
These are some great free things to do in Edinburgh. I know when we went we did the Royal Mile, Arthurs Seat, Scotland National Museum and Greyfriars Kirkyard. Best thing, all free! Great video Shaun.
Thank you so much for sharing this with us Shaun. I can really appreciate your passion for your country and I don't blame you one bit. It's beautiful with a varied and rich history. I can't wait for the day I get to explore it for myself 😊
Brilliant matey, thanks for taking the time to do this video! Im for edinburgh in a couple of days time and i hadnt a clue about where to go at all, job done! I'll be sure to have a sandwich in amongst the graves😂😂
There are so many more free things to see.For example entrance to the Botanic Gardens is also free. Likewise so far as I recall, not only is the National Gallery free, but so too are not one, but two galleries of modern art and the Portrait gallery.
I have the book The Ghost that Haunted Itself about The MacKenzie poltergeist. It is a pretty crazy story. I definitely want to go on one of those ghost tours too.
I really want to visit Edinburgh (My wife and I (+2 kids) are flying in from Maryland at the end of March), but we're landing in Glasgow and renting a car to drive through Edinburgh. My biggest question is... where do I park?! We plan on going up to Inverness and down by Loch Ness, but want to spend a day or two touring the city before we move on. It also doesn't help that the only person we know in the U.K. who could help us out is down in Manchester and not available at that time.
Your best free options to park are the Ingliston Park & Ride next to the airport which has a tram stop beside it , an unlimited 'family day ticket' will only cost £10.50 for the tram & maroon ( mostly double decker !) buses , like most cities it is not easy to navigate with so many roads closed , one way systems & roadworks along with expensive parking , if you do decide to drive into the city i would park for free on the street just outside the East central parking zone area in Abbeyhill ( closest walk to the nearest tourist site is Holyrood Palace , Arthur's Seat hill & the Royal Mile will take about 15 minutes & you can still get the same family ticket on any bus ) , check online for the City of Edinburgh parking permit zone interactive map to find the right location. Enjoy your trip !
Sokke minsken binne net wolkom yn Edingurgh.

Best ghost tour?
Try London NYC Paris Dublin all more expensive than Edinburgh!
Aye braw video but dae ye ken if the public toilets are free in Edinburgh or dae ye need a 50p coin tae well you know…..🧐
Why didn't you mention Arthur's Seat?
🎉nicw video
I would walk 500 miles for an opportunity to visit Scotland.
I would walk 500 more
How many channels do you have 😂
Glasgow joke:From where is the best view of Edinburgh? From your warm wee hoose in Glasgow.🏴
