I love how his Scottish accent comes out even more when he's talking about Scotland. 😊
Unfortunately

A happy Scot. The picture they have put up to illustrate 'tablet' is not ! it's fudge. Tablet is essentially toffee that will break your knife if you try to cut it into fancy cubes.
Hi Allison, how are you?
It happens to all of us mainly when we're outside Scotland in Scotland in considered to had a " soft"accent but the moment I get to my best friends in England I become pure Gael again
Authentic Sam. Wonderful to see you so relaxed. And charming. And the best ambassador for Scotland🏴🏴

Agree! ❤🤗
I can't believe Sam mentioned the taxi drivers! lol - I LOVED Scotland when I visited (and am returning soon). The taxi drivers were the absolute BEST; funny & entertaining, personable. One even adopted us & tailored his schedule to ours for a couple of days. JUST the best. 💗
I"ve been wanting to visit Scotland ever since I started reading Outlander about 25 years ago and I'm finally going in 2 months. I can't wait!
When you are there your wildest dreams will come true.
I have been to Scotland twice and everything Sam said about it is the absolute truth! The people truly are wonderful, the scenery is superb and the food is great! I’m sure the whiskey is magnificent but I can’t attest to it because I don’t drink it but I can’t believe you would waste your time with whiskey made anywhere else in the world! In a word, I believe Scotland is magical!
Maybe you should move there 😇😊
Ooh. Whiskey?
lets not be getting carried away. Theres just as many sociopaths born in Scotland as there is anywhere else. Believe me. I'm Scottish.
Don’t let any Scottish read what you said about whisky (not whiskey, for Scots) 😂😂😂
As a Scot, I can confirm that Scotland is magical, proven by the fact that our national animal is the unicorn. 😊
He is stunning
Can we have Sam talk about Scotland, like forever??? 😍 It’ truly a magical place 💙🏴

I'm so proud to be scottish❤my bonnie country❤
Just so you know, in French slang, "to ken" mean to f**. So hearing him says "I ken, do you ken?" was hilarious.
As an American everyone in Scotland is so friendly. Loved my time there.
I love Sam! He's the sweetest! I visited Scotland last year and loved it! People were so nice there, the food was delicious, and the country is beautiful! In Scotland, Whisky is spelled without an "e." 😊❤

Scots always are in my heart. I am Greek and i feel them and the Irish very close.
So informative for 12 minutes only! I love the passion of the narrator - you can feel through the screen how Sam loves his native lands ❤
Oh, forgot to mention that Scotland is my dream destination, and I hope to get there quite soon. We Ukrainians love Scottish longing for freedom ✨😇
You will always be Jamie to Ms. Barbara. I've traveled to Ireland, now I want to visit Scotland after being totally smitten by Outlander. Love the entire stage presence. Hair, clothes, shoes, kilts, etc. All of it...including women dress. Kudos to the person responsible for costume.. Jamie/Sam got ms Barbara alive again. Keep laughter alive.

I've been to Scotland 3 times, specifically have done a road trip around the highlands twice and it's never been enough for me. I plan to go back as soon as I can.
That made me laugh a little at the end when he said "They'll find out everything about your life before you finish your journey". I wonder how they deal with quiet people. Hhmmmm
Sam for the new Bond, James Bond. Who's with me!
I could watch videos like this all day long. The first season of Men in Kilts actually made me take my first trip to Scotland last summer and it did not disappoint. The people are so vibrant and friendly and in tune with their history, but not enough is said about the fashion. I was eyeing people's boots and sweater game the whole trip!
Looking at you is purely the sweetest Scottish 🏴 candy for my eyes!!!
Hello ladyalexander are you also one of my lovely supporters out there?
I visited Midhope Castle (Lallybroch) and it was dreamy😍
As I am traveling to Scotland on Oct 1, I just want to thank Sam and Condé Nast and all of the comments here for giving me this remarkable preview to Scotland!
Of course I am going partly because of Outlander but reading all of this has gotten me really excited to visit lovely Scotland! I can’t wait! Thank you again Sam and everyone for all the info especially how to spell whisky!
Maybe Sam we’ll pass on the streets of Edinburgh!
How was your trip? I’m going next September and have never been more excited about anything in my life!
😊🏴😊
We started in Glasgow a lovely city and then went along the west part of Scotland into the Highlands! So beautiful and picturesque! Saw thousands of sheep in the fields and even saw a demo of dogs with their shepherd herding the sheep and a sheep shearing! Going up the western coast stopped at three castles Mt Stuart and Eilean Donan Castle and Dunvegan Castle which were lovely each in their own way! So much history! Also Inverewe Gardens!
Visited the Isle of Skye and travelled all the way north to the Orkney Islands! Explored Skail House and oil

Great presentation. He's so eloquent.
Me encantó!!! Todo, a pesar de mi básico inglés, creo haber comprendido ayudada por el subtitulado en inglés. Palabras en gaélico me fascinó como lo has explicado. Todo un profesor. Intercalar las imágenes de los lugares me gustó mucho. Felicitaciones.!!!
The walkers shortbread is my favorite ❤

Sam, you can be my private tour guide through Scotland any time you want to. I adore your Scottish accent. I have been to Scotland frequently on business and for fun times, and totally adore the place. Sam did not mention Glasgow has some of the best Indian restaurants outside of India, since so many served as boat crews on British ships or were engineers building British battleships and settled there. I am always impressed at how knowledgeable Sam is about places to visit, his knowledge of the local words, and the easygoing way he describes things there. I would adore being his travel companion any day of the week. If Hollywood or the British BAFTA people ever tire of Sam, he could have a second career narrating travelogues or Scottish history shows. He also beautifully narrated a lovely story on the Calm relaxation app about a Scottish time traveler looking for his lost true love with a magic book.
Always your fan, Sam!
Now I want to go to Scotland
We have something VERY similar to that teacake here in Finland 🇫🇮

Hello Blanchee are you also one of my true supporters out there?
Only thing to note for Outlander visitors coming to our beautiful country, and just to be a picky Scot - Blackness Castle is actually near Linlithgow, which is in West Lothian on the south bank of the Forth, so not in Fife as Sam says...
Indeed it is - wonderful to tour Linlithgow Palace, Blackness Castle, Dunfermline Abbey, Stirling and Edinburgh Castles and see the awesome Melrose Abbey, Holyrood Abbey ruins and the famous Rossyln Chapel. Best part - LOVED the taxi drivers and food - Tour HMS Britannia in Leith - amazing as well. Gotta now get back for 4th time to see the Highlands. Would love to go to Shetland too. Too much to see, too little time. Thanks for lovely Sam presenting and waiting for the next new episode of Outlanders to air over here.
Love you, love Scotland and Ireland too.
