Get the ram 3500 stick it would be awesome for the channel.
Hopefully he did
Go for it. I don't think there is a downside. At worst you can flip it.
What sucks is the Rams have tons 3/4 tons 1 tons good portion of them are made in Mexico I don't support Mexican jobs I support American jobs
The auction was yesterday. Did you get it?
I was just hearing recently that caterpillar might be coming back to highway engines again
It is great to see Dodge, Ford and Chevy all next to each other.
true
I have a 06 ram mega cab Cummins best decision I've ever made for a work truck
I own a trucking company and right now I am always going with the most cost-effective way of running and that means getting rid of my debt
No doubt the Cummins engine is far superior than the others Randy, so much more reliable. 😎👌👍
You need to bid at least $5000.00 on that Dodge Ram Dually. It's worth every penny of that easily! That would also be a great truck to see on the channel. 👍
Those Ole Rams are the best trucks no matter how old they are they wont never let you down that 05 Ram is just perfect for you Dually Payment Free all you need is take care of it and that truk will take care of you
Older Trucks are the way to go. I love working on my own stuff. Who cares about Miles. Keep on trucking.
I agree ,im a huge fan of the older Cummins, treat them right and keep up with the maintenance and they will last a long time
Randy that truck is a great one for the reason that it started on just one battery pack that is like very good and it doesn't look bad at all will be a good one for you 🙂
Get the dually, you can clean it up and it definitely holds its value. It’s a super nice truck
Hey Randy, bidding on that Ram for $1200 is a no-brainer! Good luck can’t wait to hear how the bidding Goes!
I watch you everyday for lunch, Randy. Thanks!
Definitely get that Ram.
You should be able to make money on it for sure, if you can get it for the right price.
That 2005 Ram is a steal, especially with all the benefits of a diesel engine! I've always liked the appearance of that particular generation (I think I have my love of the SRT-10 in Midnight Club 3 to thank for that) and you definitely won't have to worry about slight dents or pings!
No EGR? Manual transmission no-brainer! That thing will outlive you
That dually is awesome especially with the manual transmission. You could polish those rims with some blue magic and they would look great
Hey Randy! Thanks for the awesome video! My opinion: That truck is an incredible deal as long as the price doesn't get out of hand.
Ram 3500, Cummins 24 Valve Diesel, no DEF or emissions garbage, STICK SHIFT & IT RUNS?? It may have issues, but it's calling your name & wants to live! I'd love to see you bring it home!😃
Dude that comes through my job has an old manual cummins. Things awesome
Switch on the shifter is a two speed rearend control.
Somebody did some towing with it. The two speed rearend gives you twice as many gears. That would have been a hoot to tow something with.
After 2003 they started to put catalytic converters in them. People pay 4 grand just for the NV5600 transmission. Love my 3rd gen cummins with a 6 speed.
The 3rd Gen 3500 RAM is workhorse 150,000 low miles for Cummins diesel & lifted 08 F260 is also good truck but 28:51 2nd Gen Cummins dually someone took care of that well shame about front damage
My grandpa had a 2001 ram 2500 Cummins 6 speed manual and I love the 2nd gen rams.
Good luck with finding a replacement for your ram!!! Great video.
I own a '02 Ford F150 XLT 4x4 and I bought it used for $3500 and I've put new tires, new intake manifold, new o2 sensor and new battery. And I'm just glad I have no monthly payments, no stealership nonsense, it doesn't have to obey emissions. Since it's an older vehicle, parts and part trucks are plenty, and even with how little time has passed between these generation vehicles and the new stuff. They don't make them like they used to.
A friend of mine had a 2003 Ram extended cab dually with the 5.9 and 6 speed standard. He brought camper trailers all over North America and it never left him stranded. I did a front seal on the engine and then my neighbor used it to haul a 35 camper. He was used to a Ford 450 Super Duty for towing and preferred the Dodge for the power.
Cummins and manual transmission are the best
I currently own an of ram 2500 Cummins that truck is showing signs of a bad injector, but it’s not the kind that will cause the catastrophic failure it’s stuck closed. I was able to run mine perfectly fine on five failing injectors and one bad one and I did it for 25,000 miles just run a few quarts of a few gallons at meaning of hotshot secret through it. If you don’t want to pay two grand for a set of six injectors.
On the 3/4 ton and 1 ton Ram trucks, from 97 1/2 through 02 had the suicide rear doors. I have an 01 3500 dually, extended cab, auto, 4 wd, Cummins with 417,000 miles. It's a great truck and recently retired.
Even if you don't want the first truck at that price it's worth buying and it would probably be a good truck for Mike
That $1200 RAM 3500 is a steal. I'd buy it in a second. Later this fall when the 2024's come out maybe then buy you a new one. I'd still keep the older one as my main work and hauling truck. Save on the going to town rig!
That dually is baddass , itd be great to see you fix it up .
GREETING THE NEW DAY !
Wishing you all good health and happiness!
The were going back to work. Truck ram right now on everything else was I tell you I pray you about your.
Yes those 2nd generation Ram Cummins trucks did have the red extended cab doors that opened mainly on the later years
I love the older Rams
Very nice car, can't wait to see it running and complete.watchin from KENYA 🇰🇪
O5 dodge ram 3500 dually Cummins is honestly one of my dream trucks for a newer one. I hope you get it id love to her in action . I don't like new trucks I like them old & simple . Nothing fancy exactly don't strike my fancy . $1200 is a damn steal !!
Nothing like the sound of a Cummins
if you see anything like that on a manual transmission, it is a 2 speed rear end. all it is is a set of extra gears for towing
We have a 1979 Chevy c70 grain truck we use and it has that knob on the shifter as well and all it is is 2 extra gears.
PLEASE GET THE TRUCK!!! I’d love to see you clean it up and work on it!!
It sounds normal to me because I've been around those Dodge diesels for years. It may need fresh diesel in it. 🙂👍
Fresh fuel an fuel filter she’d be good to go
I have that same year model but it’s been extremely good truck I service the transmissions once a year Do not hesitate when it comes to that motor it is 325 hp 615 pounds of torque.
Great Dodge Duallie, Fill it up and put a couple cans of injector cleaner, It's worth 3K all day long minimum if it runs. You have nice cars to drive, it's a work truck!
I have a 2004 3500 dually 4x4 laramie 1 owner and i love it, its super reliable and the only problem i had was a fuel pump that cost me 1300 other than that great truck
That Ram fired up, looked like it had been sitting for a bit but fired up no issue at all. The Chevy truck was gorgeous despite the damage on the bed.
My 2003 ram 1500 is the same color but mine is automatic. I have the magnum 4.7 liter with a 2 wheel drive. Anyway my back seat is small too but comfortable. Get the truck!!
Thay do have cats and an egr but the egr but the egr is internal to the head. But the plus is absolutely no 02 sensors anywhere but they do not have the type of egr that fails it’s down an injector. The return rate is of that’s why she’s hanging a bit.
A year and a half ago I bought a 2001 Ram 24v Cummins 4x4 extended cab long box with the Laramie and sport package…120k miles with a huge Cache camper shell, paid $5000 with mint interior and ice cold a/c. The deals are still out there.
the 7.3 power stroke is good
4;30 The 6.7 Cummins came out in '07. The 6.7 PSD came out in 2011. Two completely different engines.
That 05 Ram was pretty quick and happy to fire right up, without any hesitation either.
That ram with the 6 speed is definetly something worth looking at.
That motor sounds perfect, buy it!!!!!
Get the ram 3500 stick it would be awesome for the channel.. That ram with the 6 speed is definetly something worth looking at..
Getting rid of the truck payment and getting that diesel dually for $1,200ish dollars is a freaking no brainer
Down size to RAM 2500 is a logical decision to take....if the new 1 is getting costly to maintain, mind you , cheaper one may not be cheaper to maintain either...Randy, you decide...
Get the truck! Fix it, clean it and keep it! You will save a ton of money!
I always wanted to The Dodge truck with the Commons motor I think that great trip would be a perfect trip for you. The video keep up the good work
Grab that Ram 3500! That in a manual is awesome! Remember you can get a none dully bed and make it a single wheeled 1 ton.
That stick Ram 3500 is awesome. I’d tune it, do a spray in bedliner, clean up the paint and throw some 22.5 wheels on it and drive the living heck out of it.
Lol 22.5s ride like shitt with low pros
Been watching for quite awhile like to see more theft recovery vechiles cheers mate
My buddys 06 Cummins 6psd mega cab is a runner 220k been all over the country he bought it new only issues new injectors and had a custom drive shaft made
Look at the miles it’s got. It’s A Good work Truck
Hello Randy. You should maybe think about trying to get Carsheild or another type of after maintenance service expires. The 2005 Ram 3500 is a great looking truck.
Great video love to see the old stuff but it’s sad to see the ol 2gen burnt and recked.
Another absolutely great Copart walk around Randy! I would get that manual 3500 Cummins! You won't regret it honestly and yeah the cab is a little small but you won't owe anything! Keep up the great content!👍
I bought a 2006 Ram 1500 4.7L V8 for $2300 From IAAI And Dont have to worry cause the engine is new in it mine is 2 wheel drive
Randy the premise of this video was to find a work truck that wouldn’t cost you an arm a leg to maintain then you find one and now you want to put batteries and flip it
That red button on the shifter is for a two speed rear end. Most likely Eaton or GE
Randy it’s a good solid choice I think that’s a good buy, buy it 1,200 bucks
Randy. Just so you know 07 was also the last year for the 5.9 cummins just incase you didn't know that so if you get that one you'll have be sure you get the right parts from the parts stores
That Chevy dually is a nice truck too I know it has some damage in the rear but it is a work truck.
With unknown engine issues that truck is worth way more than 1200 I’d do it Randy!
"It may not be my dream truck" an old cummins dually with a manual and none of the emissions stuff? That's definitely a dream truck for me
Go with that silver one man
Old school is always going to be better that’s why everyone with there newer semi truck are going back to the old because it’s reliable
that first truck seems like a winner to me
Get that Dodge Ram!
You get what you pay for. Duramax for the win.
No insane maintenance like the Cummins. No need to remove the cab like a Ford.
I really like the Dodge Ram. The weakness I have heard of with those trucks is the automatic but with a stick it might be pretty good. 🤔I tried to buy a 2nd gen Ram but the dealer wanted $10,000 for a gas truck with 390,000km.
Hey Randy, I think you meant to say 6.7 Cummins instead of 6.7 Powerstroke as 2007 was the last year of the 6.0 Powerstroke for Ford, the 6.7 hadn't come out yet.
I am 66 yrs old had to drive 50 miles to work for over 30yrs in northern Ohio never ever needed 4 wheel drive
The Ram 3500 dually is a no brainer, even if it needs a little work.
Having a vehicle with NO car payment is always best.
The 53 block was used in the late 90s. I think 97 - 98.
I have an early 2007 Dodge Ram Mega Cab 2500 . In the first half of 2007 the Dodge Ram 2500 & 3500 came with the 5.9 Cummins Diesel Engine and the second half of 2007 , those truck's came with the 6.7 Cummins Diesel Engine and has all the extra crap on it . Also the early 6.7 Cummins Diesel's Do have problems !!! I have the 5.9 Cummins Diesel Engine without all the crap which is how it comes stock . I've got 250,000 miles on my truck but my truck has been very well maintained and taken care of as I also do !! If they have been very well taken care of they should go one million miles before you automatically rebuild the diesel engine . My truck is spotless and looks like new in 2007 . The only one thing I wish is being as long as it is , it requires a bit more room for the turning radius . Other than that , it will be the last truck I buy !!! But I am a maintenance freak for any of my vehicle's and don't cheap out on stuff for my vehicle's . The big advantage is the extra room in the back seat area with even more space behind the back seat . That's where I put my 4" mattress to sleep on if I fold the back seat down if I need to rest . But it's a great truck as I hunted along time to find such a clean and very well maintained truck , which I will not part with !! When I bought it used it had extra stuff on it such as a fifth wheel and extra rear air bags to handle even more weight . I'm the 3rd owner of my 2007 Dodge Ram Mega Cab 2500 Diesel Truck . I did as I always do a complete bumper to bumper maintenance and inspection . So I don't have anything to worry about no matter where I drive . You just can't beat having a Dodge Ram truck with the 5.9 diesel engine !!! The two previous owners used the truck to pull their 32' & 35' fifth wheel campers with . And now it pulls anything I care to pull and haul . I think I really got lucky with my truck and have had it for a few years already . Several times I've been offered allot more than I paid and put into my truck as I did put new tires on it . Plus the last of the 5.9 Cummins Diesel Engine's don't have all that extra crap on the truck and doesn't require any DEF fluid as later models do .
I hope you get the 3rd gen Cummins with 6.7 Cummins
I would take a chance on the silver dually with the stick in it I mean what the heck even if it did need one injector that's only like $500 after you get it done and the 5.9 run really good and you can put a smarty or a chip on it to increase horsepower little bit for towing
If you have owned the truck from new. You can keep the maintenance costs under control.
I have found that buying a used dually always nickels and dimes me to death.
Cheers
The truck u looked at at the start of the video I've always been a fan of the only one I would use for halling a hevy load and the Chevy 3500 good luck with the bid
The 53 block also had the fatal doll pin issue
Randy, I’d Say Bid On That Dodge Ram 3500 Cummins Diesel, All Day, I Hope You Can Get It.. Even Though The Chevrolet Silverado 3500 Dueley’s All Beat Up & Going ToBe Expensive, That’s One Pretty Truck..
Wizard said if you're buying the diesels in the 90s early 2000s are the best overall
I think you should personally replace the 3500 you have right now duty the new tundra. I think you would love that truck like the one you saw earlier. That stick 3500 is pretty cool though! But I think you should get a tundra for sure! Keep it up randy! But good luck with whatever you find! Since the tundra is expensive but good luck!!!
Except Toyota doesn’t sell a diesel or even a hd gas truck
He had one. He hated it
Oh no wait! Sorry that was the small one. Sorry buddy!
Randy's new tow pig an steal🎉
I love your job Man and video's thanks from Poland
Gotta buy that dually! Pretty sure the 53 block is Brazil, but may be wrong.
Randy my friend uses a durango to two and haul with you dont need a big pickup anymore
Randy, you need to buy this truck.
