It’s a somewhat common issue on the the 11-18 rams the third taillight gasket goes and you get water under the rear seat and it runs down the seat as well
hey randy! that ram looks great! the water under the rear seats comes from the third brake light gasket on the back of the cab. they get old and crack letting water in. same issue in my truck. extremely easy to replace, and you will have a great truck
Hey Randy, once again, make my day! Thanks so much! I am very anxiously awaiting the follow up video on the SSR pick-up! Don’t tease us for too long we just saw the initial introduction!
Seems like a lot of UA-camrs want police vechiles again! Go for it if you really like it! Keep it up nice content at Copart! That excursion is well taken care of that’s so hard to find WOW.
I agree with the more truck content I'm enjoying and learning, and the interesting nicer cars lately as apposed to junkers. When you fix a junker, its still a junker, but if you fix an interesting car, then you have something.
Love the trucks! The 6.0 in that grey F250 sounds like it doesn't have enough oil pressure at the injectors. It's a common rail motor, so losing fuel pressure prime isn't much an issue. Brakes are the big factor with towing capacity. DOT doesn't care about acceleration, but rather whether or not it can stop in a safe distance.
That Ram with the rear axle ripped out reminds me of that scene in American Graffiti when they put that chain around that Cop's rear end and drove by flipping him off, and he took off after them.
Pick up the Ram Police. Just budget 2k for new upholstery and fix the exhaust leak and then the spa llc to detail the interior. If you pay 2k for it and 2k repairs it's a steal you can drive it as is as a work truck as who cares about the body as long as the truck is reliable.
That last fire damageed dark grey Ford pickup would be an easy fix. It would be cool to see you fix it up, repaint the hood, and make a few bucks on a flip. I give it a definite thumbs up for the channel. 👍
Randy that F250 also might have the inertia switch for the fuel pump clicked off from the crash or what ever happened to the truck def was a hard enough stick to shut that switch off which cause the fuel pump to shut down and off and it will not pump no fuel otherwise. I think I'd check that first brother Its usually a switch on the passenger side right pillar near the floor just click that button and see if it clicks on Ford they are very tricky I've seen people hot bumps and in the road very hard and it would actually cause the switch to work and shit down the fuel pump just a tad sensitive of you ask me lol. Hope this helps you out brother.
The smell in the Dodge, being ex-police, could be from a few things. Missing or leaky grommets from old antenna holes soaking the interior in the rain, for starters. I had a '97 P71 Vic that had some holes in the trunk floor from missing grommets and other holes for equipment wiring that were left unplugged and the trunk smelled horrible after about two months. Finally pulled the trunk carpet and found the problem. Cleaned the metal surfaces with solvent, got some grommets and replacement carpet from a junker, and it was good as new. Also, if this truck was a K-9 unit, could be a strong smell of dog / wet dog. And being a police vehicle, any cop can tell you that all manner of stuff happens to these vehicles. Vomit, urine, feces, blood, you name it. In rare cases, these smells will come back when the vehicle sits awhile. You can get a pretty good idea by watching Live PD, COPS, Hill Street Blues or any other police-themed show.
Great video as always. Randy , whatever you feel is the flavor of the moment is great for video content. The white Silverado with the National Guard decal removed from the hood looked good. Looking forward to the next one.
It's like a car auction csi and I love it, it's really interesting trying to figure out how the vehicles ended up with 2nd prize. All the best from Scotland
That dodge at the beginning looks like maybe a state forestry truck. Complete with a huge ass print in the roof😂😂 The f250, fords inertia switch under the dash for the lift pump. Designed to trip in a crash to shut fuel supply off
I worked with someone who had a Hilux that ran out of diesel. It took her about 30 minutes to get it going. Having to purge the fuel system and flattened the battery. I've always filled up when it gauge hits a quarter. I've only had 2 diesels, a Hilux & Grand Cherokee.
Ahoy Randy! Love all the walk arounds you do. Just a quick little tip that you might find useful... Usually (not always) there will be a label on the seatbelt of the vehicle with a date on... This can usually give you a pretty good idea on what year model the vehicle is... Just thought I'd share this with you... Keep em videos coming, I am a huge fan! Greetings from South Africa. o/
The vin/information sticker with the manufacturing date that is on the inside of the drivers side door is always my go-to when trying to figure out the year of a specific vehicle.
If you want to remove stink from a vehicle, first remove the source of the stink, then go and buy some commercial grade toilet cleaner, tip it in a few disposable cups & stick those in the footwells front & back, close the doors & leave it for a few days, the stink should be gone, if not rinse & repeat ...
It's probably not a police vehicle, I would think it was a national park service vehicle or just something for a metro park or a state park. I think it's some sort of park ranger vehicle. Also, I started laughing, when you said "are you kidding me, the freaking door works.
The expolice truck was nice I love the brush guard but up here in Canada if you put those on your truck here the insurance goes up cuz they say if and when you hit something it just destroys what you hit and the truck it's on depending on how hard it hits but nice truck anyway
At 66 years old I don't how I survived living without all those parts that just break down all the time especially now since all these auto makers just build junk
Cool looking viper hood on that truck ,just put another one on ,clean it up, maybe the windows were left open possibly. For the right price ,go for it :)
Hey randy I really enjoyed this walk around . If you read ghis can you please let me know if you know if the 5.4 L Triton v8 engine is a good engine and if you know of any problems with them. Thanks in advance.
Regular feature of Auto Auction Rebuilds: WHAT'S THAT SMELL???
It’s a regular feature for me when I walk into my bedroom with my sleeping girlfriend. What’s that smell???🤢🤣🤣
That's why his wife left him.
@@tomtroni I know you're kidding but did they break up? I haven't heard her mentioned much lately

Looks like an old Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries Truck..
I haven't seen an Excursion in years.
Last time I saw one was a decade ago in high school.
Thanks for the video, Randy.

WE LOVE TRUCKS and vans Randy. I'm from the uk and drive a RENAULT KANGOO camper van for my daily driver.
The 2013 Black Ram "Police Truck" was most likely a State Game Warden truck. Most Police trucks don't have 4wd.
It’s a somewhat common issue on the the 11-18 rams the third taillight gasket goes and you get water under the rear seat and it runs down the seat as well
@MrAutoAuctionRebuilds nice the hell I win you bagger here’s your sign
its the cab vents in the rear wall.
They also have rear window issues.....Im a ram guy and have yet to own one that doesnt leak...
hey randy! that ram looks great! the water under the rear seats comes from the third brake light gasket on the back of the cab. they get old and crack letting water in. same issue in my truck.
extremely easy to replace, and you will have a great truck
Column shifter on a 5.7, wow 😍

@Auto Action Rebuild I enjoy watching all types of car's, truck, motorcycle or Rv's
How could you not like those headlights they're cool as hell
That's not a Coyote engine, that's a Boss 6.2L.
That last truck with the engine fire and nice interior. That should be your new truck.
Pick up the Ram Police. Just budget 2k for new upholstery and fix the exhaust leak and then the spa llc to detail the interior. If you pay 2k for it and 2k repairs it's a steal you can drive it as is as a work truck as who cares about the body as long as the truck is reliable.
On that police ram very common to leak tru the 3rd brake light n water acumulates where you found it...
That last fire damageed dark grey Ford pickup would be an easy fix. It would be cool to see you fix it up, repaint the hood, and make a few bucks on a flip. I give it a definite thumbs up for the channel. 👍
@MrAutoAuctionRebuilds why are you pretending to be Randy? Go get a job like everyone else and stop trying to scam people.
The water under the back seat could be from the 3rd brake light seal leaking.
that 4th gen police truck definitely has done a few pit manuevers in its life
Randy that F250 also might have the inertia switch for the fuel pump clicked off from the crash or what ever happened to the truck def was a hard enough stick to shut that switch off which cause the fuel pump to shut down and off and it will not pump no fuel otherwise. For the Ram, the back wall vents tend to leak, and allow water inside. Thats probably why theres water
Or the third brake light
Bill Engvall, Roller skating Barbie. lol. Love the trucks. Here's hoping you find one for yourself.
The thumbnail truck looks like it belonged to your states game warden
Bring on the trucks Randy! Love all your content, great as always!
Randy, that Banana is beautiful!!! ❤
Great video as always. Randy , whatever you feel is the flavor of the moment is great for video content. The white Silverado with the National Guard decal removed from the hood looked good. Looking forward to the next one.
The dent on the roof of the Dodge 2500 looked like a butt print

The f250, fords inertia switch under the dash for the lift pump. Designed to trip in a crash to shut fuel supply off
Ford has that inertia switch on the pass.side kicker panel.
Here’s your sign, i’ll never forget the first time I heard that 😂😂😂
Definitely get that Ram Randy
Glad u made it out that storm now back to business. Randy don't let that truck go
I know randy is not pregnant but he never fails to produce

Hello Randy. The Ram 2500 HD is a good looking truck. The Ford Excursion is a good looking SUV.
Buy that ram. She'd be a good one for the channel.
Thank you for showing trucks!

Water leak is either from the 3rd brake light or the vent door behind the seat
That’s our game warding truck for Louisiana
Jeff Foxworthy made that term "here's your sign"
No. Not Foxworthy. Bill Engvall.
It wasn't One famous Comedian/Comic. It was 4 Jeff Foxxworthy, Bill Engvall, Larry the Cable Guy and Ron White. So " Here's Your Sign"
The water in the Ram is normal, it comes from the 3rd brake light its a common problem with those trucks
There is a ssr just like that at a car lot in portland tn. Saw it today when driving through town.
Beautiful video. Like hanging out with a friend.... Very enjoyable
Whoever lifted that diesel Dodge didn't tighten bolts back up I bet.

That slingshot yellow is nice!
Thank you.
The 3rd brake light above the rear window is where Ram pick ups leak, ask me how I know as an owner of Ram trucks for the past 20 years
Definitely like ex law enforcement Dodge Ram 2500 & was originally hold Ford Excursion with overcooked engine can be saved just replace powerplant
Someone on yt combined an ssr with a 5 window it looked good.
Randy are you sure that's just water back there LOL
Going out on a limb....LMFAO!!!!! I'll be here every Tuesday, try the veal parm!!!

At 66 years old I don't how I survived living without all those parts that just break down all the time especially now since all these auto makers just build junk

Water is most likely from the third brake light common on 4th gens
The ford fire truck looks like a good fixer upper for you then you could sale your truck
I really enjoy your videos

3rd brake light leaks on the ram same thing happened to my ram
Hey randy what happened to your buddy Arron carr (the battery guy) that used to help you out at times
That's front of the excursion takes the e350 front part and it looks newer
